Words cannot describe how happy I am with my wedding pictures done by Brittony Vermeer! She was…read morealso so amazing to work with! I found Britt's page here on yelp when I was looking for a local photographer to my wedding venue in PA. We live in NYC and Britt not only was great in communicating, but even offered to see us in NY! She was so professional from the start, very attentive to our needs, understood exactly the style and the vibe we were going for and totally exceeded my expectations! I used to work in the wedding industry as a video editor for a few years, and I think I've have seen it all...Brittony not only made the style of the pictures very unique, but also made them look very "us". On the day of the wedding she arrived a couple hours early just to scout the area for beautiful places for portraits, and she found such gems! She was amazing with our family and friends and made the family picture time so fun! She also caught those candid moments I really wanted where you see pure emotion without "posing"! And don't get me started on the portraits she made! Everything in the pictures: from lighting she managed to catch, to composition, to just plain simple 'making me look skinny' :-)))...she was just a PRO with her camera! Brittony has also edited the photos amazingly fast!! A lot of my friends were stunned when I shared best pics just days later! It was about two months since my wedding and I already have ALL my pictures edited and processed. She send me a USB drive as well as a shareable link for all my friends and family. So thoughtful! I can't recommend Brittony Vermeer enough! If you want great, beautiful, emotional, amazing photos...she is your girl!!! THANK YOU Britt!!

This trip ended the…read moreseparation, loss and wonder of what happened to 2 sisters that were separated in 1922 following the untimely death of their mother who was only 35y. This reunion allowed me to connect with long lost family that had been apart nearly 100 years! Through the help of DNA and genealogy work I have discovered so many interesting connections and the little footprints and breadcrumbs left by my relatives for someone later on down the road to find... Finding Jim at the Leesport Market was a blessing! He brought both portraits and small snapshots to life again! Meeting my lost family I was able to see (pictures for the first time EVER) of my Great Grandmother's face, they also had several never before seen photos of my Grandmother when she was young along with her long lost sister, aunts and other family... Jim you are such a kind, honest and talented man... Thank you for sharing your gift with my family and others! The condition of my photos were a mix including the following issues: - Some were torn, discolored, faded, becoming brittle to touch- I was happy to see new life brought back into these photos with natural color enhancements added to some. - Some photos were very small snapshots that were hard to identify the faces due to size and age - we were so excited to see these made into regular size 4x6 and 5x7 photos and see the cute details such as a flower being held in my grandmothers mouth - Other photo challenges was the balance between light/dark this made it hard to focus in on the faces of in the photo- I loved that Jim was able to correct the lighting/contrast of the photos and keep everything looking natural, if not better than the original. All of my photos were over 100+ years old and these will now be able to be enjoyed for years and years to come! I still get goosebumps looking at these photos! They are priceless and mean more to me than any other possession. The care and appreciation for restoring family history is beyond measure! All I can say is GO SEE JIM! He will not disappoint and you will be forever thankful you did for generations to come! You are now our families "go to guy"! With the deepest heartfelt thanks! Christine & Family

My black poodle had heart disease, and the vet didn't give him much time, and my sweet girl dragon was also on limited time. I enjoyed the photo shoot with my two dogs and two dragons, simply spending time with my family. My poodle passed away four months after the session, but now I have professional photos of him displayed all around my home with his little brother and reptile siblings. Thank you, Willow Street, for capturing my special family--especially my black poodle, who will live forever on my mantle.

If you are running an auction and are offered one of their sessions as a donation PLEASE do not accept. My parents in law bid on the family portrait session with the understanding that we would only receive one free desktop picture, however their prices for additional pictures are OUTRAGEOUS, and they have no digital option. In addition to what they donated to the auction, my parents in law ended up pay over a thousand dollars for ONE picture, which did not include framing or retouching. When we we doing the selection session the owner was dismissive and inattentive, and I watched as my mother-in-law almost came to tears. She was willing to pay for one extra family photo, as that's all that was in her budget, but there weren't many good photos of our whole family, mostly just of the individual children which they couldn't afford to purchase. The prices for their pictures are not transparent or available on the website, so we had no way of knowing what we were getting into when we bid on this ridiculous item. My parents in law gifted me the free desktop print, which we did not pay for additional retouching for, and it's awful quality. I got one of my sons and their cousins. The image is dull and blurry and the children's faces are poorly lit. My son's eyes aren't visible at all, and my other son's face is in shadow. It wasn't in my budget to pay HUNDREDS OF ADDITIONAL DOLLARS for retouching on a session that was meant to be a DONATION. I know Willow Street says they can't give out digitals because they make 'art,' but the quality of what I received was lower than the work I've seen by other local photographers who charge far less, and allow you to purchase digitals. I literally got pictures of my youngest taken at JC Penney recently that look better than what we've received from Willow Street. In my opinion, this donation was gifted to my son's school in bad faith, in order to get people through the door and extort money from them. If you're considering family pictures save your money and hire another local photographer, who will allow you access to all your images and who is upfront and transparent about pricing. The only bright side is the photographers who work for the owner were very nice. I hope they all get better jobs.

His price points were a lot better than some of the other area photographers as well. We told him that we wanted a lot of the standard pictures, as well as candids and "photojournalistic" pictures. He assured us that he didn't need a list of the "must-takes." What we got was a lot of garbage. The background of many of the pre-wedding pictures was my parents' TV, he only took 2 pictures of the groom before the ceremony, and he didn't take pictures with the groomsmen. I told him that there were special people we wanted pictures of, he didn't do it. He didn't take any of the "standard" pictures we wanted, took so long after the ceremony and the outdoor location that we had to beg the limo driver for more time, stopped taking pictures at the reception much earlier than expected, and was drinking and hitting on the bridesmaids. When we finally got the proofs, which took much longer than he promised (he had several excuses ready when I called), they were not very good. He spent so much time trying to get us all posed, that our faces looked unnatural and strained. He also tried to tell me that I couldn't keep the proofs, even though that was in the contract. Fortunately for us, we had several family members who took pictures, so it didn't matter than we didn't order anything more than what was part of our package. I just wish we would have spent more money and hired someone more professional.
