As a budding small family, we were looking for the "perfect" photographer to capture moments in time as our boys grow, and as we grow as parents; we found that "perfect" photographer in Kate. We had gone through several photographers when our first child was born and found ourselves wanting something better each time we got the photos back. Our first photo shoot with Kate was sensational. We told her what we were looking for, which was a western type theme, and she hit the mark with the location, her knack for understanding lighting and time of day, and artistic talent she has with her camera. Since then, we have had several studio shoots for holiday cards and other memorabilia, as well as multiple locational shoots with backdrops of all kinds to fit the mood we were looking for. Each time we were more than pleased with the outcome, and each time we have a photo shoot with Kate, we just can't wait to see the results, because they are always fabulous to the point where we are left not wanting for anything more than what she delivers. The 15 minutes mini are peeerfect! My husband doesn't like the idea of a 1- 2 hour photo session so when I gave him the option of these mini sessions thay get at least 10 pictures he said, didn't your sister only end up printing about 6 pictures from her 4 hour couple shoot? Anyways we've done 2 so far and Kate is so friendly and helpful and let us take pictures with and without our jackets, plus the locations she choses are beautiful (my family keeps asking where we went to take the pictures, by the rio grande and sandia mountain, so right here intown). We got our photos in less than a week and eneded up with 18 from the first mini and 25 from the second mini! Now the real use of these beautiful photos is that they make the perfect gift for your parents/grandparents who have it all and you've run out of gifts to give them for the holiday/birthdays/ext. We love Kate! She offers several "bump to baby" packages. The one we chose included maternity, fresh 48 (pictures in the hospital after birth), and newborn. It also includes milestone photoshoots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months with a cake smash for the birthday shoot! All of this came at a competitive price. Kate is a talented professional who captures beautiful photos. She has all of the backgrounds and props you could want for newborn pictures, which also saves you money. As a new mom, I appreciate having all of these photos scheduled in advance so I don't have to think about it. Kate makes you feel comfortable and finds the most flattering angles and poses. Her studio was clean, professional, and a very comfortable environment. She had so many beautiful props, poses, and ideas for our newborn. All we had to do was choose three swaddle colors, and she took care of the rest. She integrated our at-home props perfectly. I immediately felt as east with Kate. It's obvious she handles newborns often, and is very comfortable with them and with the parents. I found her extremely well priced, especially if you book her for newborns, 3, 6, and 9 month photos. We did a studio holiday mini session with Kate. It was our first time meeting Kate. She is lovely! So friendly and warm. Instantly made our shy toddler more comfortable. Her studio is amazing. She had it set up with decorations for the holidays, but it was obvious she is prepared for many different settings. The photos turned out great and she had a super fast turn around time. If only she could keep our son from making silly faces in every single shot. Kate did the best job with both our maternity and newborn photos! My husband and I aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera, but she made our session fun so we didn't even feel like we were taking pictures!
