I guess what comes standard is the wedding party pics, bride and groom, family etc. The shots are usually done by a photographer that has shot the same photos for every customer over and over again. For an artist/photographer that type of repetitious drudgery is soul squashing. Which means your photos won't have much gusto to them. My wife picked Ryan after requesting to her uncle, a professional photographer, that she wanted someone to shoot "edgy candids" Ryan over delivered in every regard. He immersed himself into the characters of the day and shot great portraits of everyone at the wedding. He was humorus and just about everywhere shooting his stylistic pictures. After I posted a bunch of his shots pn facebook, we received a flood of compliments on his work. We ended up with nearly 1400 shots, a wedding photo album, the images on CD all within 3 weeks post-wedding. They had previsouly been posted on his website shortly after the wedding. I had never met Ryan before the wedding and neither had Alycia but he happily devoted his day (missing a big NHL game that he would of been paid more money to photograph). We contacted Sara, and discussed everything that we were looking for in a wedding photographer, and everything we wanted to avoid. My wife and I met with Sara, reviewed her portfolio; she listened to what we had as a vision for our wedding, and she gave us new and unique ideas adding to what we had in mind, and we decided to hire her right there on the spot. Since Sara was the first vendor we hired, we were extremely nervous about everything. We put her through weeks of e-mails, and phone calls, asking her a ton of questions. The service and quality of Paul's work is beyond superb. There is not one single picture we did not…read morelove. Paul's passion for his work shows through by the suburb quality of his finished product. It is rare to see such enthusiasm. Paul encapsulated our day like we believe no one else would have. He showed exquisite professionalism and was able to work seamlessly with all our vendors and take command when need be. While it wasn't his concern, he guided a very green videographer to ensure that the videographer stayed true to our requests. Even while taking control, he never missed a step or a shot. His ideas and instructions for shots were brilliant and concise, capturing moments both scripted and live with seeming ease and efficiency. During formals he was able to push out a ton in a short time with seeming to lose his cool, despite multiple last-minute requests. My husband is not one for photographs and yet did not get impatient once! During the ceremony and reception, we rarely noticed Paul as he whizzed around capturing some incredible shots. We never had to call him over to get a shot, he seemed to be already right where we needed him. Even when I started crying...he was the only one with a tissue handy! We had the distinct pleasure of working with Matt for variety of wedding-related events this summer. When we first met with him over coffee, his passion for his work, his commitment to each couple he photographs, and his talent were evident, as was his expertise in PVD/RI photography- the ideas he had were abundant and we left our first meeting feeling like we'd known him for years. When we shared with him that we were planning a non-traditional wedding with an elopement and a reception in Providence later that summer, he was immediately on board. He went above and beyond in capturing our engagement photos, our reception photos, and even traveled to Greece where he captured the most gorgeous photos of our elopement. Matt exceeded all of our (admittedly high) expectations and did so with such an ease, kindness, professionalism, and joy. He was FUN to be around. On the wedding day, Matt was with us the entire day, from getting ready at the salon/hotel to the end of the reception. All day, Matt was present to keep us calm when needed and invisible when we needed privacy for more intimate moments.
