Kate was amazing. I could not have asked for a better florist. She just "got me". I sent her a few pictures - told her my idea (that I wanted things simple and classy) and she blew my mind. I am not even a huge fan of flowers and I wish my bouquet was fake, so I could keep it forever, it was so beautiful! She was very affordable and very accommodating. Kate Papale the owner of Kate's Flower Shop was a pleasure to work with and so knowledgeable about flowers and design. Kate took the time to review ANY ideas I had with regard to pictures I was sending and the type of flowers I wanted. She took the time to meet with me and have a sample bouquet of the flowers and colors that I wanted (based on the pictures I had sent), i.e. Peacock feathers, fruits, roses lavender and white or chocolate, cream. (I was a little undecided). Turns out, I just wanted cool water and wedding white roses for my bouquet (with a few pieces of sea grass, Kate's idea). Kate saw my vision as I explained it and rolled with it. She made my centerpieces in accordance to the colors I wanted and ensured the flowers I was selecting were not fragrant as my husband is HIGHLY ALLERGIC ( White Hydrangea and Cool Water Roses~ centerpieces and Wedding White and Cool Water Roses~ bouquet ). Again, I brought pictures of the design I wanted and Kate took it, made it mine and appropriate for the venue. I wanted satin ribbon to match the sash on my wedding dress, Kate found the color ribbon, she wrapped the stems of the centerpieces with the satin ribbon (that was my idea and she went right along with it)! I brought satin ribbon and pins for my bouquet the day before the wedding, she did a wonderful job wrapping it all and making the bouquet decorative and elegant. When I e-mailed Kate with questions on candle lighting for the centerpieces and flowers for the cake table, she made suggestions: (cake was a piece of art on its own , no flowers at cake table). A week before the wedding we went over all items again and she even made a suggestion to use my bouquet as my center piece, I will say that for a wedding of 25 people and no bridal party, I had a budget to work with that would make many shake their heads and she didn't take advantage of that and still helped me shave off costs. That idea worked out wonderfully; Kate told me how to dry them out to keep them too. Finally, the day before the wedding when I dropped of the materials for my bouquet and the final payment, Kate had a small arrangement matching my centerpieces waiting for me as a gift. She said, "Every woman should have flowers in her room the day before she gets married". I almost cried. To sum up, Kate is a PROFESSIONAL and she loves what she does (it is reflected in her work, her kind treatment of me throughout the process and her guidance). PERFECT WEDDING FLOWERS!! Our flower arrangements, from the boutonnieres to the centerpieces to my bouquet, absolutely exceeded our expectations in every way! We showed Kate a few pictures of what we were looking for when we met; we met just once before the wedding. What's most impressive is that Kate admitted that what we wanted was not necessarily in her wheelhouse, and she NAILED it! We only wish we could post pictures of her work.
