Midtown Garden Center, is a lovely little sanctuary located in one of the busiest areas in the city. Yes, parking might be difficult, and yes, the area isn't exactly "walkable" but once you arrive you're transported to a beautiful little rainforest with pots, plants, blooms, succulents, and even smoothies to satisfy your cravings on a hot and sunny day. But their plants and flowers are all beautifully displayed and in a healthy state. Every once in a while they gave massive sales but for only a select few plants. I went to look for plants to replace what I had in 3 large planters on my terrace. I found what I liked and wanted the experts at Vivo Gardens to remove the existing plants and repot the new plants. They seemed very happy to accommodate this and I explained that my building required a COI in order to make the delivery. There was a little issue about getting the COI when they said I would receive it. Plus, I came to realize that communication was an issue- I do not speak Spanish and there is very little English spoken there. We all got very frustrated and I eventually asked to cancel the order and return my money- which they did. Then, they reached out again and I decided to give this another chance. I started using a translation app, which is inconvenient, but I wanted to make sure we totally understood each other. I guess all is well that ends well. The plants were delivered as scheduled and I love them. They look great on my terrace and the delivery went well.

This is a great nursery whether you're looking for new plants, garden care, yard accessories, bulk…read moregravel or other outdoor goods. Located conveniently off Griffin Rd, it's hard to miss & has plenty of parking in the front. It seems like there's always a couple of employees walking around who are eager to help out. Their space is not massive by any means but it's set up to get the most out of it & they do it well. It's clearly sectioned off so you can easily find what you're looking for. Trees, native & exotic plants, fruit & vegetable plants, succulents, flowers; there's no shortage of variety here. They also do a good job at rotating their selection. I like that there's usually something new to me when I visit. For the most part, prices are great. If you're on a budget, you can walk away with an armful of succulents or small potted flowers for under $15. Also, There's always a sale of some sort. Like other places, they have things that are very expensive but at least the quality of these products seem good. Supporting local businesses is always a great thing to do so I try to stop by here monthly. If you're a fan of gardening or want to get started, this is a great place to check out. You'll even enjoy "window shopping" if you just want to see what this nursery is all about.

They greeted us and brought us our drinks with kindness and I felt nothing but good energy. I can't speak on the plant purchasing aspect but I did make a stop at the cafe area. I bought a matcha latte with honey and oat milk, didn't taste much if any honey but they do leave out raw sugar packets which made it a bit better. The cortadito was perfect, no notes! The price point is pretty steep, however you do get a decent amount for the price. $9.00 for the iced matcha with an extra charge for syrups and milk alternatives of course. The cortadito was around $4.00 which is also pretty pricey for what it is. Overall it's a nice treat but not a daily venture due to the price point for me, otherwise a beautiful environment for chatting or getting work done.

I am especially obsessed because their prices are extremely fair. I got my Two fig trees at this nursery and before coming here I had shopped for them online, Home Depot you name it and everywhere the prices were ridiculously high. Then I went to Kenia's and their prices were reasonable and their plants so well taken care of. I am so happy with all my purchases from Kenia's, I stop by whenever I'm nearby!
