This is a great nursery whether you're looking for new plants, garden care, yard accessories, bulk gravel or other outdoor goods. Located conveniently off Griffin Rd, it's hard to miss & has plenty of parking in the front. It seems like there's always a couple of employees walking around who are eager to help out. Their space is not massive by any means but it's set up to get the most out of it & they do it well. It's clearly sectioned off so you can easily find what you're looking for. Trees, native & exotic plants, fruit & vegetable plants, succulents, flowers; there's no shortage of variety here. They also do a good job at rotating their selection. I like that there's usually something new to me when I visit. For the most part, prices are great. If you're on a budget, you can walk away with an armful of succulents or small potted flowers for under $15. Also, There's always a sale of some sort. Like other places, they have things that are very expensive but at least the quality of these products seem good. Supporting local businesses is always a great thing to do so I try to stop by here monthly. If you're a fan of gardening or want to get started, this is a great place to check out. I just had a unfortunate experience at one of my favorite nurseries. I'm absolutely devastated but if I can help someone else with my experience than so be it. I have always wanted a Meyer lemon tree so my husband purchased it for me online on Christmas Day. Due to festivities and also living pretty far from the nursery he picked it up two days later (December 27th). He potted the plant for me and surprised me. Unfortunately when I saw the tree I realized it looked a bit malnourished, the leaves were yellow and sparse. I took pictures of it and used AI and Reddit posts to see what deficiencies it may have to salvage the tree. It looked like the terrible "greening" disease and I decided to un-pot it and place it back in its original container and segregate it from my other citrus trees to prevent cross contamination. I called the nursery and was explained that as long as it was within two weeks in its original pot I would be able to return it with receipt and get store credit. I brought the tree back within two weeks of it being picked up (13 days to be exact, remember I live far and it was the holiday season), and was told by the manager that because it was un-potted and in "bad condition" that I could not return it and it was unsalvageable since it was dry and unwatered. This review is to educate the future clientele to not purchase trees without due diligence and making sure that it is healthy before leaving the nursery. Do not make our mistake because you will loose money. The manager did give me half off of a new citrus tree of my choosing in their next shipment. I felt this was unfair, especially since I showed him the photos of the diseased leaves the day I saw the tree. I don't feel like I was heard, and should have gotten a new tree since I did have evidence that the original was sick, instead the manager blamed it on being "the winter season". I returned it in its original container and within 14 days of picking it up. I have posted pictures of the leaves of the original tree and trees with greening disease that I found online. I'll let the readers decide, I'm just really disappointed with how the manager handled the situation. read more

This was such a nice nursery to walk though and look at all the beautiful plants and trees that they have. They also have a large selection of outdoor decor, pots for your plants and a variety of plant food. They have really good prices so you don't have to feel like you're breaking the bank when you shop here. The staff I encountered were super nice and eager to help. They have a nice selection of perennials and my son bought me one that is so pretty. The fruit trees looked so nice, I saw lemon, avocado, and orange trees as well as several others. You can buy fresh herbs and different kinds of lettuce here. They also sell mulch, stones and sod if you need it to spruce up your outdoor area. If you want to design or redesign your landscape their service here is second to none with their amazing Computer Landscape Design. This is available by appointment and will give you a look at what your landscape will look like upon completion. Came here looking for milkweed to add to the garden for butterflies. I had heard this nursery was good and had a large selection of plants.whoever told me this lied. The milkweed we saw consisted of 3 plants that were burnt to a cinder by the sun. Several other plants we walked by were also close to being turned into dust from the sun...does no one water the plants? We didn't buy anything because we didn't see anything of worth when we went and no one even offered to help us, even tho several workers walked by us. I'll go elsewhere. read more

Been here plenty of back breaking days loading up rock and sod from the numerous piles at the front of their property. Everywhere you look is greenery and employees diligently maintaining the property. I appreciate the easy to view separate flower and tree sections. Loved the Cuban Oregano plants for $12.95 in the herb section. The Shade Plants section has a plethora of mid to large tall thick plants for best coverage. They have a very impressive Talavera multi-colored decorative pottery for large plants. The 95 gallon Capernicia Fallaesis for $1,099.99 is actually a decent deal for such an adult plant at that size. For any arborists need this is a one stop shop. read more

I was in the area and needed to pick up a few pieces of sod to patch holes in the lawn and milkweed for the Monarch butterflies who visit my yard. I was really impressed with the selection and great prices at Florida Nursery Mart. Florida Nursery Mart sells butterfly plants, citrus, drought tolerant plants, flowering shrubs and trees, fragrant plants, fruit trees, vegetable and fruit plants, grasses, ground cover, hedges, house plants, large shrubs and trees for landscaping, native plants, palm trees, shade plants, and small shrubs and trees. They also sell mulch, sod, sand, soil, stone, fertilizer, hardware, pots, ceramics, garden decorations, and water features. I was quickly greeted as soon as I entered but it was very easy to find exactly what I needed in the well organized outdoor area. The sod was out front and the milkweed was under the native plant sign. I loved the milkweed because the large pots were attracting so many Monarch butterflies. One of the employees was giving a gardening lecture to a child who was very excited to have his parents buy the plant to add to their garden so they could start attracting butterflies. She gently showed him the caterpillars already on the plant. It was very sweet. I ordered a pallet of sod. It was delivered half dead and without a pallet which they charged me for. This left my driveway a total mess and now I have a dead lawn that I need to dig up and throw away. They refuse to make it right. When they scheduled delivery they told me repeatedly that Thursday delivery would be ok for a Saturday install. That was false and they're refusing to take ownership of the issue. If you want native plants, this is a very good place to shop. They consistently have a good assortment of South Florida natives, most of which are hard to find at other nurseries. I use their web site to figure out what I want and what fits in the space. We have been selecting and planting native plants that make fruit for the mockingbirds, for about 30 years. Whenever something old dies or a bed needs to be redone, the new plants are natives. Years ago, I ran all over the county to find the species that I wanted. For the last 10 years, I can almost always get it here. This year, we had to remove some palm trees that got infected by Ganoderma but rot, so there are several holes in my landscape. read more

I bought a plantain tree from them for $40 for a 3 gal and another place wanted $60 for the same size pot. Once I told them my plans, they even recommended two other nurseries for me to visit to find things that I need and want. I really appreciated that information from them. This nursery is on Griffin Rd. The nursery is not that big but they have an array of plants and fruit trees at a decent price. I've been looking for a Florida native milkweed and both times I've gone, they've had it. The first time when I went, they had the Incarnata the size of a twig for $10 but the next time it was quite big for $15. They also had a large amount of tropical milkweeds. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. My only concern was one staffer twice tried to sell me an Incarnata loaded with aphids and claiming they were butterfly eggs. I think he genuinely thought they were butterfly eggs but for customers who don't know better, bringing that plant home can cause an infestation to their home plants. I think staff should at least be knowledgeable with what they are selling. Other than that, they'll answer all your questions are more than happy to help you load your purchases into your car. They also sell a lot of planters. Most are plastic and the ones that are ceramic or porcelain are the classic colorful ones or plain solid colors. They don't have many modern looking ceramic ones if that's what you are looking for. read more

We are redoing our entire garden. Arrived at Fla Nursery Mart and was greeted by a gentleman named "Matt." We spoke a few words and he told us to go in and look around and that all plants had signage that were self explanatory. He then disappeared not to be seen again. Fortunately, as we were loading plants on a cart a worker, named Leo appeared, to who we were finally able to ask some questions. We must say, although we felt as if we were left hanging by Matt, Leo surely picked up the slack. Leo should be commended for being on his toes, knowledgeable and prompt to answer our questions and even walk us to another area of the nursery, where more plants we were looking for were located. Well, typically I never return to a place I one or two stared. But I needed more sod and I said to myself," Let me really see if the reviews are correct about the bad the customer service at this place." So I went up to the counter and told the young lady that I had passed by last week, and that the dude who was loading my sod took the sod from the bottom of the pile(which typically has compressed and loose soil). I also told her I had to throw out a couple of the pieces I bought, but the others were marginally usable and as of now I have no issues, they seem to be rooting and greening. She replaced the sod I told her I threw out, and when I was watching this other dude load my sod, he took note of any bad sod and threw it in this pile, and only loaded healthy sod in my trunk. So I'm a happy camper now. read more

Had 45 ps sod delivered. Dry, wilted, no good. Called and was told it was 96 degrees, what did I expect. Worked with watering, starter fertilizer and kept most alive for 3 weeks, then the death. Most of it died has top soil to try to keep from replacing all of it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY​ read more

BAD CHRISTMAS TREES! BUYER BEWARE! The trees are poorly handled & dried out to death. My family has been regular customers here for years. Our christmas tree was so poorly treated & left out in the sun after flocking. It was brittle & deprived of water. We asked to speak to the manager (who we've known for years) and he refused to "come down" from his office. Wouldn't speak with us. So odd. Recommend going somewhere else. Wow very disappointed on price of the plant . This tiny snake plant 14.00 unbelievable . I asked the guy there why this plant was so much money and he said because it was virtually indestructible. What an awesome place! You can easily go wrong shopping for plants but this place makes it feel ohhh so right! I got plants that I didn't need but wanted when I saw them! I now have Mint and lemongrass so come to my house for your upset tummy! They have a wide array of plants from fruit trees to shrubs. Staff are friendly and totally willing to answer any questions you may have. The prices are also pretty good in comparison to some I have seen. Clausias for hedging at 3ft are less than $10. One thing that was even better about them is that they have a very functional and working website. Other nurseries I encountered had extreme limitations with regard to their online sale capacity. It's easy to order online and everything online is actually what they have in store. They also do landscape design which is again unlike many other nurseries I have seen. Plant a plant! Absolutely fabulous place to get plants for any and all projects! Largest collection of native flora in south florida, and not only wholesale, so it's available to everyday patrons and gardeners!!! They are the only business that sells Baycedar, a rare plant for a threatened butterfly, and Pineland Croton, a rare plant for a critically endangered butterfly. They will recommend you fill your vegetable garden bed with their home made potting mix. It contains styrofoam. A harmful plastic that will not grow mold or bacteria that is beneficial for healthy soil. A harmful plastic that does not decompose. A harmful plastic known to leach toxins and carcinogens into the soil plants and blood stream!! They will not refund you any of the 15+ bags you've already filled your garden bed with. I have been going to FNM for years and have found it to be reliable. But today, when I came by to pick up an order, the plants that they had put aside looked really unhealthy, and the order was incomplete. I then asked to look at the plants that were in the sales area, and was disappointed to find that there were plants that looked much, much better than the ones that they had selected for me. We switched things out (during which they admitted that they had not included enough plants - something they earlier had denied), but I really felt like they should have been ashamed for trying to foist subpar plants on me.
