I shared my ideas with her and as the day drew closer she realized that due to the season or time of the day, some of the shots would probably not work out. She had a ton of great suggestions that were even better than what I had planned. Emily got some great candid shots of me proposing to my girlfriend, and then we went on a photo shoot around Chicago. After the proposal Emily was great at making sure that we stuck to our schedule, checking and giving us suggestions to make sure the photos looked well, and capturing great light and backgrounds across the city. Not only am I a beginner I am a plus size model that comes with its challenges one of the biggest being my insecurities and self esteem issues . But I would soon come to find out that this wasn't just anytype of photoshoot and just some photographer trying to pass time taking photos as a hobby to build a portfolio. He was invested , professional, and most importantly for me compassionate. The compassion was a big piece for me because of the insecurities and self-esteem issues about my body but that quickly melted away it wasn't even like a photo shoot it was like it turned into an artist painting on a canvas and as such things went smoothly just like that from there . It felt like the whole world had just disappeared in that moment as I posed with the air slightly hitting my face with my eyes closed . It was the most beautiful part of the shoot ( the bedsheet and bed poses ) . Time and time again I come across my photos and I relive the moments of every shot I took with Chris. I can honestly say I cannot wait for what the future holds and to have this experience again would be amazing . I have never felt so good so alive so ...I mean I can't even in words tell you really I want it all over again...and again and then some ....

After speaking with all of them, I felt most comfortable over the phone with Janet, and her prices were more reasonable for the product I wanted. The day of my shoot I got my hair and make up done. I'm the type of girl that doesn't ever do either, so this was so glamourous to me! Suzy did a fantastic job transforming me. Before the shoot, Janet sat with me and explained how everything would work, helped me pick out the perfect outfits, and also showed me the different photo albums with no pressure to buy anything. Janet made the photo shoot fun, playful, sexy...I felt like I was a movie star! She knew exactly what to say to keep me confident, how to pose me, and what outfits to put with each different setting. It's nice to be pampered and treated like a princess and that's exactly what they do. It was 100% worth it to do this and make me feel so much better about myself. I know you've looked back to photos of yourself and thought "damn, why was I so critical? I looked great!" LEARN YOUR LESSON! You look great now, too. Book ittttttt 2. You've gotten professional photos done before, and didn't totally love how they turned out. ME TOO. This includes professional headshots, engagement photos, wedding photos, my passport photo (ha). I would see them and think okay those are nice, a like a few, but somehow they felt like they didn't really capture how I see myself. CARA SPECIFICALLY, not just any photographer, will capture YOU how you see yourself. It's the absolute beeeeeest. Which leads to point 3: 3. Have you ever seen yourself in the mirror and are like "hell yeah, nice!" and then you see yourself in a photo the same day and you're like "what the hell....is my mind warped?!" ****New Post from Feb 2020::****…read more Had an absolute blast shooting our maternity shoot with Magdalena at her amazing downtown studio and partially outdoors (yes in the middle of Chicago winter) this past weekend. It was SO worth it for the incredible shots she caught. Her perspective is so unique and captivating. We have done our engagement, wedding, boudoir and now maternity all with WASIO/PURE Boudoir and wouldn't have it any other way! The session just flowed incredibly well, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Magdalena was extremely mindful and accommodating throughout if I needed a water, snack or restroom break at all. Even at 36 weeks pregnant, she made me feel more beautiful than ever!
