For events 150 people and less you can lay your event out in phases and shift from one space to another inside and out easily if you have a good day of planner. Possibilities endless. Beautiful venue. However the employee in the velvet green dress or long shirt on Friday 10/4 was beyond anal. She was freaking out about everything and couldnt control her emotions. Events can be stressful so please train your employees to act professional or hire people that can work well under stress. Its not a good look if your employees cant handle their jobs. read more

We scoped out several places before landing on Lairmont for our wedding. Part of our decision was all of the things that are included day of. We opted for a Thursday wedding in order to save a few thousand, and it turned out beautifully. The main manager was great to work with, answered all of our questions, and even gave suggestions for us. Day of, she continued to be amazing. We had an issue with the night manager but it was resolved after the wedding by the day time manager and we appreciated her attention to the matter. The property is beautiful, they do table/chair set up, and so much more! We'd recommend this as a venue to anyone looking for a lovely spot. read more

We loved booking Lairmont Manor for our wedding! They were really incredible to work with through the pandemic. We had originally booked a 2020 date, moved it to 2021, and then moved again to 2022...they let us use the space for free in 2020 for a small ceremony, which was incredibly meaningful. We then had our larger wedding celebration in June 2022. It was so beautiful and went so smoothly. We had the ceremony near the fountain, dinner outside under the tent and dancing and dessert inside. The manor and gardens are so beautiful we felt we didn't even need many decorations or extra flowers. We took many great photos in different areas with our wedding party. The groomsmen area to get ready is pretty small, but the bridal party area is so nice! It is downstairs with leather couches, a makeup counter and bathroom. read more

This was certainly the most reasonably priced venues we looked at for our upcoming wedding. Communication with the manager was easy and informative. She was great at staying in touch and providing us with all the information we needed. The site visit was conveniently scheduled for my availability and the manager had plenty of time to go through the property with me. This property is very all inclusive! You have practically the entire day open to you (10-10) and different days are different prices. Their prices are one of the most affordable of all the venues we looked at in the Seattle area. They have two different styles of chairs and multiple options for either an inside or an outside wedding. The tables, flatware, and china are all included. They also have some beautiful tents and lighting for the garden area that are included at no additional cost. They have a huge kitchen with plenty of space and there is a 2.00/person kitchen fee. The property itself is quite beautiful. Gorgeous rooms inside the mansion with tons of rich history and some really breathtaking garden areas with a view of the water in the distance. They do weddings daily so you have to be aware that there will have been a party there the night before your big day. A few concerns I had on visiting is that the reception area with the tents for the outdoor wedding is adjacent to the parking lot, so it didn't quite have the atmosphere we were looking for. Being so close to the water it can get really windy. I was warned it can whip the tents about. The grass was also pretty worn out by the time I visited in late summer, but I think they were working on a solution for that. Overall, we couldn't go with this venue because of how far it is from home. Logistically with traffic there were just too many concerns about getting to the location on our wedding day. Price wise, you get a great package for your wedding. It is definitely worth taking a peek at and seeing if this is the perfect site for you. read more

My wife and I asked to rent a room at Lairmont for our vacation this year. Lairmont is special to us because we lived there at one time and even got married there. Since we know the owner we asked to rent a room for our vacation, even offering to pay more than the rental price. Instead they listed the unit and gave the room to someone else. We planned to pay up front with cash, and have great credit history, but no dice. The owners are shrewd, and not people that value community. read more

We booked Lairmont for our wedding primarily because this is where my parents got married 34 years ago. The venue is gorgeous and the guests were impressed! I took 2 stars off because of the staff and because of their recommended caterer. Their hours for the walk through are not convenient. I had to take time off to meet with them. Secondly on the day of the wedding their coordinator left early, and the staff left were not capable of acting professional. The staff who stayed ended up damaging some of my items, like the guest book, by dumping wet vases and flowers on top. Their preferred caterer, Taste of Elegance, is crooked, she didn't uphold her end of the contract. When I spoke to the venue about the caterers behavior, they just said it must have been a misunderstanding. No, you either follow the contract or you don't. I am happy I had my wedding here but, it really is a shame that such a lovely venue recommends, associates, and defends a caterer like Taste of Elegance. Use the venue, but don't be lured by the waived kitchen fee to use their preferred caterer. The $500 is a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things. read more

Lairmont Manor was really great to work with throughout the whole process! The only issue we had was setup during the day of. Even though there was no event the day before setup wasn't ready until 1030am on the day of (30 mins after the time we were told it would be ready). DonnaJoy was incredibly helpful to work with and answered all of my questions quickly and efficiently. When we had a couple problems, Susan, the property manager, took over and cleared up any issues. My daughter was married at Lairmont in May 2011. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue and pleasant staff to work with. We looked at many venues in the surrounding area and felt there was no comparison to Lairmont. The weather did not cooperate with the wedding day but that was not an issue since the inside facilities are as lovely as the grounds outside. Just went to a wedding, both ceremony and reception, here on a beautiful July day and this venue worked out very well. The ceremony was in a nice side area in front of a fountain and the reception was in an expansive tented area strung with lights and chandeliers. Catering and bar may have been arranged separately and that was great too. Dancing was both inside and out. Parking is pretty good but it is not unlimited and the inside area is not real large so probably best for nice weather events that can use inside and out. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there are lots of areas for walking around and for sitting in small and larger groups. read more

Myself and my husband came across the Lairmont Manor about a year before we were to be married. The grounds were beautiful and the staff seemed to be helpful. We hired an outside catering company as we did not like the presentation or the actual food the in house caterer provided. On our big night, no one from the Lairmont Staff was available at any time. We had to ask the caterers to contact someone from the Lairmont to replace toilet paper in bathrooms, to clean the extremely dirty chairs the Lairmont had provided, and for many other issue's we came across that night. I may have given the Lairmont and extra star even after paying over 5000 for the venue, after no Lairmont staff being present, after only seeing one very young boy that seemed to be in charge of setting up all tables, chairs and other items for our over 200 person wedding. The last straw was when a daughter of the Lairmont staff who was on site, decided to bring her friends along to crash the wedding, taking bottles of wine off the tables, and even trying to give myself a hug, though I had no idea who these boys were. In a few simple words...Do Not Use the Lairmont Manor, terrible service, highly overpriced, and who wants a grocery store, or a very overpriced catering firm to pay after paying them 5k? Not me! If I am going to pay 5000 dollars I want who ever I choose to cater my wedding! read more

My husband I got married at the Lairmont in July of 2009. It was the best day of our lives. The Lairmont provided the most beautiful backdrop for our wedding. We were married in front of the fountain, ate on the lawn and danced inside the beautiful manor. It easily accommodated our 150+ friends and family, who flew in from all around the country. We live in Seattle, as do many of our guests and the distance was not a problem at all. It is just short 1 1/2 hours away. Everyone was so impressed with the manor, it is kept in pristine condition. The gardens are incredible! The management helped us plan everything out perfectly from beginning to end. The moment we walked in to view it as a potential venue, we were both taken with the beauty & history captured in the building & grounds. The wedding day was beautiful...we were blessed with a surprise sunny day which allowed us to have our ceremony in the garden & the staff was able to accommodate a last minute set up outdoors. What a great facility. I was there today at a multi class reunion for Bellingham High School. The classes were from 1954 to 1960. Great day, good food and wonderful visiting with friends.
