We recently purchased a new home - our dream house. The window treatments were incredible and custom/top of the line but had never been truly cleaned. Nearly all of the 22 panels/drapes were from ceiling to floor and made of linen. We did a bunch of research and were really worried about having them cleaned. Some of the stories about shrinkage and color changes concerned us. We knew replacing them (plus other curtains, valances and shades) would be way out of our budget so we researched a few companies/in-home cleaning providers. I spoke with Kathi and she was so friendly and helpful, and then I asked if Larry could come by to look at them, provide an estimate, etc. Larry came to the house and seemed very confident about the company's ability to clean the drapes and curtains - and he said they would not shrink or discolor. We did not want them cleaned in the house because we had painting going on so Larry's crew took them all back to the shop. Once the painting was complete, Larry and his crew brought them back. While the job was much more work than expected, they worked overtime to get it done to fit our schedule. Larry and his crew were very clean, neat and professional when they arrived. They hung them one by one, steamed them, and even made improvements in terms of finishing them off against the walls. They also repaired one of the boards on the dining room curtain (which was close to 10 feet wide!). I could not have been more thrilled. Everything looked incredible once back up and the length/pooling did not change. They looked fresh and dust free and completed each room. The charges were fair and in-line and more than worth it! After much ado in trying to locate a professional yet reasonable price home window treatment company I finally found a company in Rockville Center. The bedroom window treatments were all that I and my husband expected and more. They certainly exceeded our expectations. The only problem is that I slept through my alarm on two mornings. Kathi also was ahead of my installation date well done. But most importantly we had a little inssue with the installation however, the issue was rectified promptly and without rancor and they still made my deadline. I work in the hospitality business and have worked with numerous companies over the years, but let me tell you that K & L would beat anyone hands down for helpfullness, pricing and variety of fabrics alone. The prices are very reasonable and competitive, but what I like most is the personalized service I receive.
