I apologized for this and explained my lack of response was due to travelling for work. He proceeded to say that because I did not respond to his email, that it was my fault that he lost a commission. It was extremely unprofessional and immature to be blamed for his loss in commission when I was only inquiring about a rental property through Zillow. I had never spoken with him before this and did not hire an agent for my search. I was very disappointed that he blamed me for his pit falls and hope that this doesn't reflect the rest of the group. David is not someone I would ever work with or recommend in the future.

It wouldn't be so bad, except I had to pay for this "service." I haven't really hard positive things about Boveri Realty Group but opted to use them anyway because of their downtown monopoly. Sadly, the negative comments I've heard were spot on. I'm not sure what's up with the shill positive reviews. Boveri Realty Group basically has a monopoly with downtown rentals. Even so, there are other places that deal with this area. I'd recommend going elsewhere. I would never use Boveri again. Instead of just owing up to their errors like a reputable place with actual customer service, they refused to take responsibility for the missing key (lost while they were showing the apt) and their lack of communication. I ended up having a RE agent from another company come in and they basically asked me which agency I was using because there were a lot of issues (dust that happens over time, paperwork lying around) that a reputable agency should have mentioned to me. Despite promising to give me an update roughly every week, I received nothing. I'd email every few weeks to see what's happening. There was a complete breakdown of communication on their part. In the end, they ended up sending me threatening emails and refused to take any responsibility at all for the missing key, lack of promised communication or just about anything else. I had to change the locks on my own dime and they refused to take any responsibility or discount the fee. Did I mention that I have the wonderful threatening emails to prove it? As a property owner, I'd suggest you use one of the other KC realty agencies and stay away from Boveri Realty Group unless you want to pay for lack of attention to detail, lack of communication and lack of service.

While the field appraisal that caused issues in our closing was out of Shelbi's control, how she handled the situation after, was. We, her customer, didn't even know a field appraisal had been done nor that it had caused an issue with our closing until right before 5:00 p.m. ON CLOSING DAY - even though she had known of the trouble a couple of hours prior.  While she did try and get a hold of our realtor OVER an hour after having the information and was unable to reach him - We should have been called next and were not. Actually, we should have been called as soon as she was aware that there was a problem - before trying to find a solution. After all, we were her clients, not our realtor. We defaulted on our contract because she waited until 5:00 p.m. to let us know. We may have defaulted anyway, but her lack of communication robbed us of the chance to work something out with the sellers prior to defaulting. We ended up losing the house and our earnest money! Her true character showed during the most stressful time. We had to scramble to find another home.  She did offer to file a formal complaint to try and get our appraisal fee back. But here we sit nearly 4 months later and have not heard a peep from her....despite sending a follow-up email to her on Nov 5th ( 11 days ago) asking what the results of the investigation was. It's easy to be perceived as great when all things are going well, but it's who you are and what you do when the situation goes awry that really matters. She lacks professionalism and I couldn't recommend her to my worst enemy.
