Kathryn Alice was a fantastic teacher on Love and soulmates. I found her book and it basically verbalized everything I'd already been thinking in my head. She far outshone the 'competition' in the market- 99% of love gurus are damaging, limiting and rubbish, whereas what she teaches is the complete opposite. If you have ever been damaged by rubbish like "why men love b****s", "he's just not that into you" or "get the guy", i would recommend you read Kathryn's books. However, after so many years of following KA, I had an offputting and negative experience with the online business. I did an online course with Alice, asked for a refund (course was advertised with a 30 day risk-free guarantee. I wasn't actually going to sign up, because I felt I'd done so much work already, both with her previous courses, books and also stuff with Sondra Ray, etc.) The response from her assistant was hostile, irrelevant, unprofessional and tbh downright bizarre. For me, it was supposed to be a purely business transaction - I don't appreciate it being taken personally and trying to be made into something more than it was. She said I needed to discuss with Kathryn my reasons for wanting a refund on a phonecall. I was fine to do this. But the part that bothered me is when she then pointed out that I had already done 20 free classes with KA, a phone session and she can imagine a course or two before, so I shouldn't want to cancel as I clearly do enjoy Kathryn's work, and that I hadn't done the work so my reason for wanting to cancel was my resistance. I have done 6 courses before, a mini phone session included as a bonus with one of them, and tbh I have no idea how many free classes I took, I'm surprised it was as many as 20, but anyhow I fail to see how it's relevant. A customer is still entitled to change mind about a product, especially if it was specifically advertised with a 30 day money back guarantee. I wouldn't have signed up if I didn't have that reassurance, but at 5 minutes to midnight I got a final sales call email adding the guarantee with the course, so I decided to sign up as there was no risk. Otherwise I would have just left it). There was nothing inherently wrong with the course I wanted to cancel at all, it was actually probably quite good if I hadn't have already done the other 6 courses already, and read all the books. Basically I'd already done so much by that point that when I went through the course, I no longer felt it was a match to where I am at now, as I grew through the work I'd already done. Which is actually a good thing. Another thing was that it became clear KA was working with online dating now, which was deeply disappointing as one of the reasons I used to gel so much with her work is that she didn't entertain that nonsense. But now, because of audience demand (whereas before she didn't give into them, instead teaching them to focus on their social skills) she yielded and I felt it diluted the quality of the work. I did get a refund in the end via credit card dispute, because my repeated emails to set up a call with KA went ignored for so long. The credit card chargeback was a long, drawn out and stressful process which involved sending my bank emails between me and KA/assistant, containing private details about my personal life. Embarrassing. It's a shame because till this I really enjoyed KA's work especially her books. Her teachings really did benefit over the years. I don't even know if it was her or just her assistant. It might not even be her fault, who knows? But either way, it was clearly an ending. I did see somewhere that she'd had a serious bereavement that year, so maybe that was why it was handled the way it was. Grief is horrible to experience, and with some people can make you handle people differently and behave in ways you normally would never dream of. So I do feel bad for her, of course. I'll always be grateful for the healing I did before this with the help of her books and one of the audios, but things happen for a reason and even with the best mentors a lot of the time something will happen to break the relation so it can't continue, because you're meant to move on to your next lessons. read more

This is a review of 1-to-1 coaching with Kathryn Alice. It took me a while to find the right moment to write this. After reading a previous review left here, and realizing I am not the only one with my negative experience, I felt that it was time to speak my truth. Please be aware it is a lengthy review. I felt that many points needed to be addressed. It would be hard to illustrate them without giving you some context. I wish I had more positive things to say, but with the time I have given myself to process the coaching experience, and having worked as a teacher trainer / facilitator in wellbeing practices for years, I felt obliged to warn others. This is the one investment I regret the most in my life, and you will soon find out why. Impersonal lackluster delivery: Kathryn Alice charged 30k+ for a 6 month period of on-on-one coaching. For this amount, you expect her to be fully present during the calls. Unfortunately, she let me know after I signed up that none of her calls include video. For 6 months, I never saw her face. Conversations were very one sided- when asked to provide input, Kathryn would offer one-line replies most of the time. Calls felt like they were treated as chores, with lots of "uh-hum" replies. Passive aggressive: Kathryn would often make passive-aggressive remarks. She would inquire during the initial intake whether there was anything you felt was holding you back from love, or that you were insecure about. This topic would then be brought up numerous times during the coaching period as a way to explain why you may not have manifested yet. If this sort of abuse of trust at inappropriate and vulnerable moments wasn't bad enough, there would be no valuable solution or deeper insight offered as a follow up. Lack of professionalism:  By the end of our time, Kathryn seemingly became nervous about me asking for some of my money back. She had mentioned to me from the start that I was doing all her homework so well. I suspect she felt any lack of results could not be based on a negative statement about my participation. So Kathryn proceeded to tell me, on one of our very last calls, that she felt I was "an avoidant relationship type" and this is why I had not manifested the one soulmate, and also why my past relationships had not led to the desired commitment.  She was effectively attempting to "diagnose" me on the phone, possessing no professional training in psychology or clinical practice. She also tended to make statements she could backtrack on easily, so when I asked her what her evidence was, she would say she wasn't sure or that she hadn't technically concluded that I was this or that type. The toxicity behind such a remark, brought up during our last call to evidently shift blame onto an innate personality trait (as she presented it) is hard to put into words.  What was even worse is that she acted downright disparaging when I reacted negatively to that comment and the tone in which it was said. She had to be snapped out of a rather mean mode that was truly ugly to behold. There was a lack of empathy and professionalism that I have never encountered in my almost 20 years engaging in wellbeing practices. Months later, as part of a mindset coaching led by a psychologist, I was guided to take a full assessment to find out about my attachment type. I came out as a secure attachment type, which is essentially at the opposite end of the spectrum to avoidant. It goes without saying that any diagnosis should not be implied by someone not trained in the field, and should also not be done based on PDF write-ups and personal opinions.  Not only had Kathryn exceeded her scope of practice. Her words could easily plant a false self-image that does not correspond to reality. I wonder how many people this happened to, and how many of the now walk around with a totally mismatched idea of who they are. Out of alignment with her image: Her attitude, way of delivery and apparent willingness to place blame are totally out of alignment with what she purports with her public image. There was almost no warmth, openness or genuine enthusiasm in her 1-on-1 work, and to the contrary it felt toxic and all-around unprofessional. Summary: Obviously my experience is mine, and I have no way of knowing how others feel about theirs. While many seem satisfied with her book and the outcomes they got from reading it, I for one cannot recommend 1-on-1 coaching with Kathryn.  I am also glad I took the time to speak out. Hopefully this will be of use to others, and to you, whoever is reading this. I wish you much love and happiness on your manifestation journey. Perhaps she was just having a bad patch in her life, but I found her to be out of alignment with what she promotes. She was not a loving, kind, warm presence. Back in the 1990s I was writing a weekly email calendar in SoCal for local dance, music, entertainment, and spiritual events. I was asked to add these lovely sounding workshops on dating from a spiritual perspective by Katheryn Alice. People started letting me know how much they enjoyed her Spiritual Dating, Releasing a Person, Manifesting Love, I was curious. By 2001 I was in a position in my dating to ask for assistance in gaining clarity in what I wanted in a partner. I went to several events and after each I met amazing women, had deeper spiritual connections and explored aspects of love that I had never encountered before. After each workshop I gained new perspectives about me, what I wanted in a partner, how to ask for what I wanted out of a relationship. My quality of experience from my own growth grew from ideas and techniques and the conversational back and forth that came from Katheryn's workshops. Did I find my Miss Right? Well, I found enough about me to understand how the series of Miss Right-Nows fit better and better over time with what that seemed to be in my projections. I found the work refreshing, useful, presented in a loving, open hearted way that I could learn from. It has been part of the foundation of my quest to find the lid for the pot that I am, to manifest the love of my life. I have met some AMAZING women. I have had some near misses on being in the ultimate loving relationship and I UNDERSTAND why those relationships didn't work out. also, I have had some one-on-one sessions with Katheryn that have been wonderfully illuminating. Now, my summary. The Good: How much I learned about how to communicate what I wanted without projecting it as a demand but as an offer to partner with someone. Repetition is easy with the CDs if you want to reinforce something. Taking a live workshop again is sometimes like coming home to a room full of strangers who feel like a loving family. For someone like me who does not regularly attend organized church services often, perhaps it is probably a bit like that for people. Not religious but familial. The Bad: How devastating the up leveling can be to the nature of relating, the clarity of what I want creates some challenges once I see what I really want in a partner. As with many skills, the more training you get in something, the less of a partner pool you find to engage with. Like tennis, or dancing, or any partner event, an uneven skill set can lead to dissatisfaction. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't made me intolerant or aloof but it has taught me to be graciously bowing out when it is clearly not a relationship that I will be happy with over the long haul. Being happy in the times I am alone is better than being miserable in relationship with the wrong person. Kathryn Alice's work in this arena is top-notch. I've been doing this type of work for over 10 years and have yet to find anyone who approaches this work with such heart, compassion and intellect. I have participated in 2 live seminars, 2 webinars, an ongoing monthly group and have all of her books/ebooks. I often recommend her work to my friends. What I have found particularly useful is her release work. I'm convinced no one does or teaches release better. Kathryn's approach is so gentle and sweet that it's as if the work does itself. Of course, each person will get out of it what they put into it. In terms of another reviewer's claim that Kathryn contradicts herself, I believe this is due to spiritual confusion. I went through it when I was first introduced to these principles by other teachers. The crux of the matter is, we are expansive, evolving beings. What might apply in one situation might be the opposite of what we need in another situation. And in terms of spiritual contradiction, that is part of any deep spiritual path. In Zen Buddhism, there is a concept called "It is All, it is Nothing." It is both at the same time. This seeming paradox allows for both free will and infinite possibility. I believe this other reviewer has hit that spiritual growth point where it can be very confusing. I know with certainty, having gone through it and out the other side more than once, with teachers and on my own, it is not something to be blamed on Kathryn or her work. I had to laugh when reading the positive reviews on this coach who calls herself a "love guru" - I purchased one of her online programs when I was at a low point in my life and I was stupefied by the amount of crap and conflicting information she was putting out. First red flag: I had to write several time to get my link to the program after paying in full! And only got it a week later. And when I began digging in; I quickly realized that program was of NO HELP to me! I found her techniques to be counter-productive and totally pedestrian, she didn't sound educated or knowledgable; and she most definetly is not a polished speaker! I learned nothing useful from her, and found most of her teachings just plain wrong. I was worst off after listening to the first 3 modules; starting with nazally/whiny voice! OMG so irritating! And her "solutions" have you relive the worst parts of your relationship, dig for the pain and leave nothing out! which brought me back fully feeling the agonizing pain of heartbrake. Not a good technique! The one thing Katherine Alice was really good at was over-promising and under-delivering on her promises. Her online "30 days Breakup Bootcamp Breakthrough" is just an overpriced inferior quality course that comes in 4modules of boasting and bragging about how great her program is and how it's going to change your life and blah, blah, blah; but you never get to see it! She's all talk and no integrity; she tried to ripp me off the way she ripped off others by coning them (her buyers) into signing a total bogus aggreement, which appears only after you committed to buy which is technically illegal! Online digital programs always come with a guarantee! That is if you buy from someone honest. Out of sheer disgust and disappointment and feeling the sting of the con; I requested a refund 2 wks after my purchase, her assistant responded that I still had 2 wks to go, that I need to give it a chance, the thing is; I didn't need to listen to the entire course, to know that it was not the high quality content she bragged about; I was expecting real results for this price. I asked again a few days later and given a total BS line and that I signed a contract, and there are NO REFUNDS....!!!! Really??? I never signed anything; that part was hidden all the way at the bottom of the page, and only visible if you scroll all the way down past the order page; it's a definite "gotcha", and a total scammer move! So BUYERS BEWARE!!! My impression of her assistant is that she had zero respect for buyers, and acted more like an arrogant guard dog than a helpful team support agent. Instead of receiving support with grace and compassion; I was made to feel like I was nothing, my refund requests (3 of them) were ignored and I had to fight for almost 3 months to get my money back; and I won because there were enough complaints against her, that she had to refund my card. So if any of you get caught in her scam, don't hesitate to call your bank, and fight until you get your money back! She needs to get real and stop passing herserlf off as a Love Guru, and ripping off the people who buy her programs by refusing them a refund when they aren't satisfied.
