I wanted to give a glowing review to State Farm agent Kathy Bowden and her kind, patient and accommodating assistant Donna Yost for first of all listening to what I had to say, researching and coming up with a great solution to my problem. I had been with Progressive insurance for the last several years and they started off pretty good but I made the mistake of joining their "snapshot" program and after 6 months regretted I ever did, I got dinged for everything! My insurance kept going up higher and higher and I was puzzled bcuz I'm a senior citizen with no accidents or anything on my record and my credit score was good so I wasn't understanding why I wasn't getting better rates. I paid over $300 a year for renter's insurance...WHY?!! And almost $800 every 6 months, soon to be over $800 on my next 6 month renewal in June for car insurance on a car 10 years old!!! I received a card in the mail some time back from Kathy, looked at it and laid it on the table with all my other unread mail, thank God I didn't throw it away! When it came to me just how much I was spending on insurance, I remembered the card and decided to call the lady on the card to see what difference she could make and boy am I glad I did. Her office is close to home, her assistants were very hospitable and I got the service I had been longing for. Turns out Donna was able to get me comparable coverage for almost $500 cheaper than what Progressive was charging me and I paid $200 less for renter's insurance. Talk about saving me money, that's a nice chunk of change, thank God I didn't toss Kathy's card in the trash as I normally would have thinking it was just junk mail!!! I have been insured by State Farm for well over 30years and that entire time I have been insured by a Bowden agent. First it was Kathy's father and then her. There is no reason to look elsewhere as the service I have received has always been impeccable. Both Kathy and her entire team are quick to respond to any questions I may have and I have never had any issues when needing to file a claim. I have referred other family members, co-works and friends to Kathy and they all have thanked me multiple times for my referral. I would say that your "in good hands" but another insurance company has that slogan so I will just say Kathy and her team are better than just a good neighbor and they have always been there. read more

The Kathy Bowden State Farm office in Bridgeton, MO has been so helpful over the years. The staff is always so friendly and explains various coverage options clearly. I've used this office for 40 years and my mother has used them even longer! Now that my mom is older, I help her with decisions such as insurance and they are always so patient to answer questions.
