She not only helped me individually, but eventually after seeing her for many months I was able to bring my partner (now husband) in for couples therapy, which was a HUGE move for him. Because of her our relationship grew stronger. She never let her personal beliefs or feelings get in between our couples therapy sessions. There was even one session when I remember my husband making a sarcastic remark towards a specific religion. I chuckled because I just happened to know that Pam had once been of that faith. But Pam stayed so professional and never even led him onto know this, she just let him continue to vent. I miss working with her dearly, but HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone.

No matter how many times I told her I didn't and refused to engage in her silly activities, she assured me I did have DID. My current trauma therapist is also certain I don't have DID. When I was raped by someone I knew, Kathy said, "You had sex with (person). So what!?!" And the appointment after Christmas she spent the entire session telling me about her Christmas lunch at the Peabody, which included new potatoes, with her friend who ate too slow and so they missed the movie. Thankfully my insurance changed and I had to stop seeing her. Should have left a long time before that!

Dr. Mason, makes sure that I'm heard and I feel safe in his presence during my visits. I feel safe expressing my mental concerns with him. Ms. Jacqueline, the receptionist is always profane friendly upon my arrival. The waiting area is always clean and inviting. The atmosphere is always comfortable, relaxing and I feel completely at ease during my visits. The behavioral experience is supported thoroughly. I have been in and out of therapy since age 5 with multiple Psychologists but never have I received such empathy. She will make you comfortable enough to open up about anything, almost as though you are speaking to your best friend. I have Medicare and I have found it very hard to find any competent Dr. who takes my insurance. I find this a blessing as I started seeing her when I had United Healthcare. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking any kind of emotional health issues or simply life coaching which she is wonderful with as well. She also referred me to my current Psychiatrist whom I have been seeing regularly for 13 years as well. There is nothing she will do in order to make her clients feel like they are top priority, which is a big self esteem booster. She also treats children and adolescents. It seems that no one is unimportant in her eyes which goes a long way especially if you suffer from trust and abandonment issues. I would and will continue to see her as long as she is in practice. There is no reason to hurt or keep things stuffed inside when there is someone who genuinely cares about all her clients. I have seen Dr. Bishop off and on for a little over a year....and I plan to find another therapist…read more Nothing terribly wrong; she often interrupts when I am speaking, and often strays away from the points I am trying make. I find it annoying and somewhat maddening. Haven't been back for awhile, and don't think I will be going back to her. I need to find a better fit.
