I needed headshots for my office's website and was told to submit 2-3. I looked to yelp and looked saw a brief sample of Laura's work. That was enough for me. She responded quickly and I was able to get it done that same day (before a holiday weekend I might add). The quote was more than reasonable. She has a wonderful studio with great lighting and was very good at conveying how I need to position myself. I always feel awkward taking photos and she did a great job making me feel relaxed. The finished project was amazing. I had trouble only selecting a few.These photos came out great for my clinic. I cannot recommend her any higher.

In total we were 6. Erica patiently spent time photographing our grandmother who cannot stand on the sand and sometimes has troubles listening (It was quite difficult to get her to pose!) She was well prepared with bobby pins to make sure any flyaway hairs were not an issue. Erica noticed that my hair kept blowing back so for the pics with my hubby she took me back near the sand dunes where I wouldn't get the ocean wind messing up my hair. The photos look incredible!!!! I am printing them out and keeping them forever. She even took a bonus group pic on my phone in the end. Her rates are very reasonable for the quality and expertise you get with it. Initially she responded and we were supposed to speak over the phone but I never heard back so I followed up. She then did and we ended up speaking. I asked her to send me an invoice so we can lock in the date but she didn't for a while so I followed up again. She then did. Then the week of our scheduled photoshoot I saw the weather wouldn't be good on our shooting day and I texted her to hop on quick phone call to discuss further and potentially see how we can make it happen or pick a couple other shooting day options. Again no response for days who knows if I didn't reach out maybe longer. I reached out a third and final time to request a refund which I haven't received yet. I'm baffled by the fact that Mandy is running a business and lacking basic good communication, I've been repeatedly experiencing a lack of responsiveness in this short time of working together which has left wondering, kind of stressed and certainly taking all the joy out of it for me all while being in my last trimester of my pregnancy. She specializes in working with pregnant people and new moms, I just don't understand the lack of consideration and professionalism. Save yourself the headache and work with another photographer. I wish I did, now I'm running out of time hoping to find someone else to work with for a maternity shoot while still pregnant all last minute. Quite Upsettin!
