In total we were 6. Erica patiently spent time photographing our grandmother who cannot stand on the sand and sometimes has troubles listening (It was quite difficult to get her to pose!) She was well prepared with bobby pins to make sure any flyaway hairs were not an issue. Erica noticed that my hair kept blowing back so for the pics with my hubby she took me back near the sand dunes where I wouldn't get the ocean wind messing up my hair. The photos look incredible!!!! I am printing them out and keeping them forever. She even took a bonus group pic on my phone in the end. Her rates are very reasonable for the quality and expertise you get with it. The owner was very responsive at the time and the date and time was set. I then received 4 emails confirming the date and time the week before the shoot. My family took off work, bought outfits, and arranged an entire vacation day altering sleep schedules for toddlers in order to make the most of the session. We arrived to the stated location 20 minutes early only to wait an hour for a NO SHOW photographer. No call, no email - NOTHING. When our time slot hit, I called the company's phone number. That number has call restrictions not allowing the call to go through. We also went to the studio only to find it was a neighborhood home address. We believe this business is a scam. Devastating to have 6 months of planning and preparing for an extended family session, only to have it ruined. Whatever you do, do NOT book with Chloe John Photography.

On photo day, Andrew showed up and seemed to be inebriated. He rallied the troops (all 11 of us) trying to get us excited and open for the upcoming photo shoot. We were all dressed up and excited, so his exuberance, while over the top, wasn't out of place. When it came time to go to the shoot location, he offered to drive one of our young children to the photo shoot in his BMW Z4. We declined since that would be inappropriate. On the way to the photo shoot as we followed him, he almost hit oncoming traffic and trash cans as he swerved over the lines in the road. When we arrived at the photo shoot (the east end of Holden Beach), we walked to the shoot location. He made a negative comment about my dad (he's 74), hit on my mom (she's 76), and cursed in front of our children (5 kids ranging from 8 to 15). He was inflexible and refused requests for poses. Fast forward 4 months and thousands of dollars spent on prints (yes, that is how long it took to see prints). Between the original photo shoot and the prints, my sister and her husband split up. We couldn't hang pictures on the wall with my ex-brother in law, so they were thrown in the trash. What a shame after spending thousands of dollars. We reached out to Andrew hoping he would provide or sell us the high resolution digital images to Photoshop my brother in law out. Andrew was inflexible and would not consider providing them, even though we had already purchased the prints and have more than enough experience with Photoshop to maintain the integrity of his work. He said he would be willing to provide a quote for the Photoshop work, but that didn't make sense considering our experience with image editing. I retried to explain the uniqueness of this uncomfortable family situation, and he let loose. After 10 seconds of him raising his voice at me, I hung up. Goodbye, Andrew. Good luck in your business.

He never said he hoped nobody was hurt or sorry to hear. Finally said "thanks". He thinks he is the only one on this beach to rent from apparently with his attitude. We certainly know he isn't and lost our business!
