Top: D-1 Katsu Bowl Bottom: Soba combo with chicken Katsu
    Rebecca L.

Lowkey spot right inside H-Mart in Federal way! The food was delicious. The katsu was juicy, just not the most flavorful I've had but still good. Really big portions and took about 10-15 minutes to get your food. The soba was good for the price I paid with the katsu. I would say that the price you pay matches the portion size you get.

This restaurant is inside H Mart. Tired the pork katsu curry. The katsu was nice and crispy. The curry was yummy. It had pickled onions and carrots in it. I also liked that the meal comes with cabbage salad and miso soup. Everything was good. The only thing I would charge is, I would like to choose a spice level for the curry because I like spicy food.

Surprisingly solid Katsu for being inside a food court at Hmart. It was crispy and the portion size was good. Not the best we've had but it was pretty good. The disappointing thing was the salad and the mushy rice. I liked the cold soba and it had a good dipping sauce.

I originally gave this place a bad review because the fact that they closed early and wouldn't take my order. Had no plans to come back but my partner and I were shopping at H mart and she actually picked us up some food from here. This is only based on the food. It was delicious. Katsu was nice and crispy, yet juicy. Curry was nice but a little on the bland side, still enjoyable and I liked the added veggies. I had a bite of my partners cheese katsu which was also good. The sauce was nice and tangy. Food was good enough to give them another shot. I'll be back to try some of their other menu items.

I needed to get something from H-mart and I remembered that the katsu place inside was changed a while back so I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to grab our dinner here. We placed our order first to which the cashier was professional and prompt in ensuring our order was correct. We got the katsu combo while I got the Nagasaki ramen. Once we finished our order, we received a buzzer so we went to grab drinks from Hmart to have with our meal. The ramen came out first and it was filled generously with plenty of broth, noodles, and seafood. I don't think I have seen this much seafood given in any ramen that I have had. There was small shrimps, two big shrimps, plenty of mussels, one green mussel with shell, squid, and vegetables. There was a lot of noodles too and it was so comforting. My boyfriend was impressed with the katsu and gave it a solid 9.5/10. I learned from an Instagram video that the chef prepares these homemade breadcrumbs from Japan so it is very authentic as you won't find katsu like this in teriyaki spots. I asked for my ramen to be made extra spicy but it wasn't spicy at all, but I'll just be sure to ask for chili oil or hot sauce on the side too. I also wished they included pickled radish with the ramen and katsu but if you ask then they will provide it. Overall, a very pleasant experience we want to try out their other food items! There is plenty of seating in the area that is shared between Malri Hyang, Katsu-Mi, and the cafe in there. They also have hot and cold water for you to drink. You do have to bus your own table and there is a spot to drop off dirty dishes.

Simple comfort food. Large bowl of Nagasaki ramen filled with variety of seafood. The broth is good. I added spice. The noodles could be a bit over cooked but that could be my preference. I prefer chewy. I had katsu curry fish here and it was good portion and super tasty. This place is self-served. Most of the time you have plenty of seats inside H mart food court.

It was our first time visiting this place today. Food was really good. It is a little stall located inside H-mart. We went right when they opened so it was nice and quiet. Cashier was friendly. The Katsu was super tasty and traditional, not like the Katsus you get from teriyaki joints. I was telling my partner it tasted like the little Katsu shop in Japan we went to a few years ago. Really enjoyed the quality of everything. You definitely want to get the tenderloin since it is a more tender piece versus the regular which is a little bit tough and chewier. Overall, looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu.

What a gem! I do t think I've tried any of the eateries inside H-Mart so this would be the first one and it was surprisingly good! My husband and I both loved the beef donburi! I could use a little bit more sauce but the meat was super flavorful so it made up for it. I loved the Katsu curry with soba dish! The curry dip for the Katsu was so yummy and the dip for the soba was also delicious! The service was not bad. Not great, but not bad, but I can overlook that given the price and the delicious food! There are seats right outside their stall that are shared by eatery next to it. I'd love to go back the next time I shop at H-Mart, which will be soon!

Ambiance: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Always like to come and try their food menu. My favorite is their cold soba noodles with cold broth. Flavors are all there. Never disappoint. Next, the chicken katsu rice platter is . Chicken is tender and juicy. Very flavorful. The sauce that comes with the chicken katsu is good . Definitely a recommend place if you are looking for good curry and katsu!!

I got the katsu and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was fresh, crispy on the outside, and cooked just right. The portion size was very satisfying, especially for the price, great value overall. Everything tasted fresh and comforting. If you're looking for good food that's worth your money, this place is a must-try.

I tried Katsu-Mi for the first time and it was disappointing. I ordered the mozarella katsu and it was so bland and flavorless. The chicken was dry and had no seasoning. The cheese did not taste cheesy at all. The katsu sauce tasted like alcohol. This one plate was ringing at almost $19. We also tried the chicken katsu curry which was mid. It was like any other chicken katsu curry plate, nothing special. Overall, I personally will not be returning.

Located in H Mart, Very good kastsu, reminds me the katsu in Japan. Fast service, we will be back!

This is a new restaurant inside the H Mart food court area. Order, find a seat, and go get the food when your buzzer goes off. To my surprise, the pork loin katsu is so crispy and juicy, highly recommend.

We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I'm used to eating very authentic Ramen when I lived in San Diego so this was a first for being in this area. It was a great portion size, beautiful presentation and everything tasted so good. I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. I probably wouldn't order that one again even though it was good, just lacked flavor and was a bit grisly. The service was outstanding. They are very kind and very attentive. The place is very clean. Absolutely loved the lavender foam. It was perfectly balanced and perfect amount of sweetness. I'd get it again Seasonal Purple Sweet Potato Mont Blanc- this looked better than it tasted the sweet potato itself was more savory and needed the soft serve to make it taste more like a dessert. Once you make your way to the soft serve, spoon a little bit of the sweet potato with a full spoon of soft serve, then it'll be good, in my opinion. Kohaku Matcha Parfait- delicious. Loved the little bit of strawberry and the warabi mochi. Probably not the best matcha parfait I've had but I'd get it again. Got the Sakura Tendon Set to go for dinner on the plane. While it was tasty, the crispiness didn't hold up so I would not recommend taking it to go/eating it at room temp. The grilled steak don probably would've been better for this purpose but I have no regrets. Service was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in town.

Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
