Now I have a problem in a security fence and to keep the leaves off my property as the college across the street East do not pick up their leaves very often. I bought this property in 2005 and that was the third mistake I made. I married a Russian and when we got her Social Security number the clerk asks, there is a person here with a name the same as yours, Is that you? Of course, my wife said NO so when we got outside, I told her to start talking and she admitted she was illegal, overstayed her visitor visa. Where did you get all of your cards, drivers licenses and green card? We bought them from Cubans in Florida. She soon took off and we got a divorce as I have PTSD and 100% V.A. Disability and I have attacks now and then and like my first wife does not want me around. I am doing better after watching TV Mystery diagnosis and a Doctor cured a young girl that has the PTSD symptom and Anxiety attacks with IV Vitamin B-6 so I started taking B-6 - 2 at a time 3 times a day. Now what I would like for you to do is come look at my fence that I had to cut down to foot and a half. I had a nice 6-foot fence till my neighbor called the city and said I had an illegal fence. Now I ask you to go to 2731 SE 30th street to see what a legal fence looks like. I hired an attorney to keep my fence, but he says you can't fight city hall so forget it. The city put a doubling lien on my property and it is up to over $2,000.oo now. I have no intention of paying it as I am 84 so they can buy my property when I die and my Vietnamese wife says she does not need it, besides my first wife put a Lien on it long ago as I stopped paying the $2,000.oo a month alimony. read more

This news station is biased left all the way and On 04/01/2026 I turned on the Presidents speach to the Nation on the Iran war and an interpretor was translating in spanish over the President of the United states so loud cound not hear the President!!!! I have been a long time viewer of KATU Channel 2. Unfortunately, I will no longer be watching due to biased news reporting. At this time in our history we need news channels that give unbiased reports especially about politics. It is time that news channels stand up, only present the truth and not manipulate the news to support political candidates. Today channel 2 cut parts of Kamala Harris's speech and pieced together things to make her say things that she absolutely did not say. I heard this speech so I know she did not say what they pieced together. This is not the first time they have done this. I used to be a watcher, but the station is now a conservative voice for the station owners. The last straw was Trump being interviewed by Sharon Atkinson, lie after lie. Just finished watching a much anticipated special on alcohol addiction. Having been a recovering alcoholic since 1990, with three, 10 to 12 day relapses ending in 2007. It wasn't until the last five minutes of the show that alcoholism was correctly described as a disease. Not a single person like myself to give light of the disease and the ONLY way to stop drinking. Lots of talk about how recovering works, how full most of the rehab facilities are, how it destroys families & communities. You folks do a great job of showing viewers why we are happy to not live in Portland. It is sad that you have such unfortunate news to present but you do a great job of doing it and your people are very professional. Thank you for your service to Oregon. I personally appreciate the new segments that have the young lady who is focusing on political activities in the Salem area is that is our state capital and my home for over 70 years. I can only request that you would focus on the homeless situation as a sad situation that we have in Oregon. Our elected officials are not trained or equipped to handle this problem. It is not limited to Oregon. When I was going to college, I worked at Fairview Hospital. I saw the fine work that was done by the people there. Deciding to put people out on the street throughout the 60s and give them their medication to take was a mistake. People who are not supervised that are suffering a mental condition on their own will never work as they begin to self medicate. This begins to cause a greater problem; illegal drugs, more lawless gang members not of this country. Providing drugs that may kill and do. They know they're unhappy and they don't have the answer; they need supervision so they get the proper care. Perhaps halfway houses. I just watched a segment , and I use Holgate a lot I don't see much speeding and I didn't see any tents , but the sidewalk in front of the boys and girls club had trash up and down the sidewalk , the staff should clean that trash up it makes the neighborhood trashy , I was a member there when I was a kid ,and then worked there when I was in high school, I lived on the next street over on insley st. It was a great neighborhood to live in. Not much crime and it seemed like we all new each other now let's try and not make people believe that lents a bad neighborhood to live in , because that's what it sounds like to me, there was one big crime in let's park , it happened to me when I was in high school, I was robbed three guys pulled a gun on me and took my lunch money, now one of the three is my freind on face book and he told me that he was sorry for his part., thats it read more

The show was informative, encouraging, and entertaining. Joe's personal Q and A interviews with the winners not only made all of them comfortable, but it also drew in people like myself. read more

What a clown show of an affiliate. I was watching a football game on KATU, it got down to the last 45 seconds of a two point game, but instead of showing the end of the game KATU went to ten straight minutes of commercials?! They start Jeopardy three minutes early every weeknight, presumably to boost the ratings for their pathetic local news, so if you want to see the start of Jeopardy you have to catch the end of the news show. And what do they show this captive audience? They end their news with a segmant called, "The Circular File." They actually show a picture of a trash can when they start the segment. Here you go viewers, our dumpster segment, enjoy! Heaven forbid they would increase their ratings by improving their news program. No, they just start the show after the news three minutes early to trick people into watching some of "The Circular File." Worst affiliate I've ever seen, and I've seen a bunch of them. read more

Although, I find the channel 2 anchors less unatractive than some other channels, so that at least makes it tolerable. I subscribe to Dish Network, and I recently lost KATU which carries all the ABC programs I love to watch. KATU and Fisher Broadcasting are holding Dish Network, and us viewers hostage for an unfair and unreasonable rate increase. And it's not just here, my friends in Seattle have lost KOMO tv 4, which also carries ABC programming for the same reason. KATU advertises itself as being "There for YOU".....well, you're not here for ME anymore!! Are you in cahoots with the cable company??? If their service was better, I'd have STAYED with them. But they sucked! So I switched! KATU needs to be realistic about a rate increase. You don't demand nearly DOUBLE! If I did that to my employer he'd let me go to "pursue other opportunites". I love to watch Joe English. He is my all time favorite. I like to watch him report but my favorite is when he does the weather.

Would've been 5 stars, but Dave the new weather guy SUCKS. Seriously...he cannot forecast worth crap. Watch KGW or KPTV for more accurate forecasts. Rhonda seems to know a little more about forecasting, and I feel bad when people call her "Wrongda". But besides the weather team, this is the local newscast I usually watch. I'm unclear as to why your TV station feels it has to cover our present weather conditions continually hour after hour. I'm not much of a day-time TV viewer but being housebound I've had the TV on and have been amazed at the weather trivia used to try and fill up the time. Why not have hourly news updates unless there is something conrete/relevent to share? Watching kids on sleds, news reporters showing the snow falling from many areas, etc. etc. is extremely tedious. Thank goodness the other network stations have realized most of us aren't interested in such "news" and would rather watch regular programing. K. M. read more
