Although we had a rain plan in place for the day of the wedding, I was not willing to give up on having my dream outdoor ceremony. Despite there being high odds of rain for our wedding day, I wanted to take a chance and try to make the outdoor ceremony happen. Thanks to Mitzi's expert planning, we were able to setup for the ceremony inside and outside and make the call only 30 minutes before the wedding. It rained so hard that the power went out in the bridal suite and Mitzi was still able to pull off nothing short of a miracle. In addition to coordinating with every single one of our vendors to ensure a seamless evening, Mitzi also went to bat for us whenever she could. Whether it was negotiating with our caterer to ensure certain rental items were included in our contract or disputing charges from the transportation company for a town car that failed to show up, I knew I could trust Mitzi to handle everything. I had gone through tons of wedding magazines and pulled out pictures of what I liked but quickly realized that my tastes were kind of all over the place and a bit more expensive than I could afford. During my first meeting with Kellye, we sat down and she had me show her pictures of what I liked. I was worried she was going to be overwhelmed by my wide spectrum but, without batting an eye, she said it wasn't a problem at all! By mixing and matching, she was able to incorporate little bites of everything I wanted, all the while sticking to my budget. The flowers she provided at both my rehearsal dinner and on my wedding day were beyond gorgeous. From the boutonnieres to the mother's bouquets, I loved what she had done for each one. We paid her upfront and in months advance.  We had 90% of everything planned out months before the big day. She was responsive and communicated quickly in the first few weeks and then absolutely nothing in the months after. So on the big day we were hopeful the flowers and decorations were just delayed a little. Nope, the food, flowers, decorations never arrived. THE ONLY things that went right were the services we paid for and were not under her control. Instead we had to pay additional out of pocket to feed the guests and no one got to eat til 9. I never saw any appetizers for cocktail hour. Food service was horrendous, because the guests ONLY had an open bar. All of our sober guests stayed thirsty that night. So I paid full price for a wedding and received half of it. We tried to be as kind and considerate as we could, but kindness should not be taken as a sign of weakness. You only get one true first wedding, spend your money elsewhere or forever remember how terribly bad your wedding goes. Now she continues to evade our written contractual refund.
