Both my husband and I have been going to kirtans on and off over the last ten years and neither of us been to a kirtan that is better than the one that Radha and Gopal Harvey have going on. We even like them better the Bhaktifest. We've been to kirtans with more highly skilled musicians than them, but no other kirtan artist we've ever seen has captured the essence of bhakti in the way that this charming couple has. You can tell when they sing and talk about bhakti yoga that it is coming straight from their hearts. This is what makes superior kirtan in my opinion: not the technical aspects, but the real life living the love that is bhakti. So, absolutely, we highly recommend these sacred kirtan meditations to anyone and everyone! And if they are having one of those fabulous day retreats by the sea, or better yet, a longer Kirtancamp retreat, definitely schedule that into your trip! They are amazing!

They can be functional for serving, but you will simply want to use them as center pieces. He uses various types of wood, but also beautiful epoxy resin that combined with the wood, creates one of a kind masterpieces. I highly recommend going to one of these craft fairs simply to meet him and check out his art. I bought one of his epoxy pencil bowls as well as a gorgeous koa piece I placed on my living room table and everyone that sees it, loves it and inquires about where I got it from. I was on vacation is Kuai on the first week of December. i was researching what is going on in…read moreisland and this event popped up on the calendar on google. I figure it would be fun to come check it out and see what they had to offer. Parking We came here around 5 ish since i think this event starts at 6pm. It was hard to find parking since there was only one giant parking lot nearby which is some sort of church or community center, not too sure. Since the lot was full we had to go on the side streets and look for parking. They had parking on the streets in front of the homes, but that was all filled too. I had made a few circles and luckily i found parking at a nearby church. It was a 5 min short walk to the parade. Event The parade started on time. They had different organization, fire dept, police dept, and different floats going on. The floats were ok, nothing like wow, but it was cool. A lot of people participated the walk and it was great to see the community come together as a whole for this show. Art show They had an art show going on at the same time when the parade was going on. They had various vendors selling all handmade crafts. Lots of jewelry, bags, ornaments, and clothing for sale. This is perfect for people who want to shop for one of a kind or unique items. Most items were expensive but it is worth it. Food They had a couple food trucks there. one of the food trucks was a coffee and tea truck, so if was perfect if you need some caffeine. They also had a fundraiser booth for a high school or college going on, who was making food and selling them too. We had early dinner so we didn't get any snacky. Prices were average to be $10 and up. A lot of the items were sold out within the first hour, so if your looking for something yummy, come here first then go to the parade. Overall it was a fun local event which maybe happens once a year in december. If you love food, art, and a free parade then its your kind of event. Music…read morewas so festive everyone's costumes we're fun and pretty to look at and our favorite was all the kids that were dancing and singing.
