My husband we thought had an abscess tooth and he was I a lot of pain. I called Kauai at like 8 in the morning and they got him in 3 hours later. After having X-rays they discovered that it was actually a broken tooth. They pulled and he is much better now. All this while we are on vacation from out of state. So I just wanted to say a very big thank you for the care you gave him and getting us in so quickly. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and kind thank you again. I just wanted to write to tell you about my recent experience with Dr. Fries, Sarah, and the rest of your staff. I had the unfortunate need for a new bridge, but am fortunate to have had a perfect care team! First, Dr. Fries is amazing! She's extremely bright, thoughtful and caring in her dentistry. I don't particularly look forward to dental work, but Dr. Fries has such a comfortable and unassuming air, I was put at ease immediately, and that carried through the appointment (except the drilling/sawing but who likes that ever)?! Sarah assisted Dr. Fries and was wonderful--a great practitioner but also very empathetic and caring, all the while asking if I was doing ok. She took great care in making the prosthetic for me that fit every nook and cranny. It was our hygienist, Heidi, who caught this. She was also extremely sharp and thorough, which i especially appreciate because there was decay under a bridge and I still have the tooth! The rest of your staff is also professional and friendly. I ended up late to my appointment due to traffic during the storm last week (apologies ), so rough start, but everyone worked through it, and I appreciate that as well. Great experience! Very comfortable dental environment, everyone was so nice and caring, able to get a appointment right away. Everyone made me feel so calm, my entire procedure from start to finish had very minimal pain and I was able to watch tv on monitor in my room so it took my mind off of what I was getting done. read more

The staff is always friendly and professional. The office is nicely decorated, organized and clean. I always leave with a fresh mouth and feeling good. Some dental offices make you feel like they are trying to sell you products, but this one does not. I made the mistake of scheduling a pediatric appt for my son somewhere else, but the place was kind of gross so we cancelled and will get him set up with an appt here instead. read more

Horrible experience. Will not go back there again ever. I came in 10 minutes before appointment. Told me to be seated, she has me checked in already. Not very professional, hadn't even acknowledged me or asked for my name and information even. Few minutes later, a worker kept hollering out somebody's name. I'm from oahu and needed a dentist because my crown fell off. Found dr. Yoo and came in and he took real good care of me!! This office is very clean and the technology that they use is unreal. They made my crown here in less than an hour. Everyone here is so nice and I felt very comfortable that they were going to take care. read more

Had a crown installed and it didn't last a year. The quality of the work and the quality of the crown was less than stellar. The office doesn't have ceiling lights so the dentist uses a headlight. He will dig in your mouth with his gloved hands and then adjust the light on his head. Not sanitary at all. He then uses the same light to look into other peoples mouths. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I have been very impressed with Kauai Dental Studio. My hygienist Signe is very personable and accommodating to my sensitivities. I've gone in twice for fillings and both times with Dr. Gonzalez have been very pleasant and enjoyable. Dr. Gonzalez is very friendly and listened to all my concerns and even finished my fillings more quickly than expected. Dr. Yoo also has a very calming manner and I've appreciated the time he's taken to talk with me following a cleaning. I usually dread going to the dentist but all my experiences at Kauai Dental Studio have been so pleasant, I've felt comfortable and accepted and am so thankful to have such a great dental team! I had a tooth that broke off at the gum line. After several calls to different dentists in the area that couldn't do the work I landed at this place. I got a consultation with a price quote and went ahead with the extraction. They are also able to do all the work associated with an implant that I want to replace the tooth. The dentist and the staff have been really nice and I am really happy I found them. read more

If you want a peaceful experience of going to the dentist, Kaua'i Dental Studio is the place! You walk in and it's calming as if you were walking into a spa. Doctor Yoo and his staff are wonderful. They take very good care of you and make sure you are comfortable. They let you know step by step of what they were doing and made suggestions for me of what to do in the future. To help ease your mind while in the chair, they have classical versions of pop songs playing, aroma therapy and a tv with calming scenes to watch. I honestly did not like going to the dentist before and avoided it for a few years. They took care of me so well that I want to come back. I'll make sure I'll get my teeth cleaned every six months to go back to the teeth spa. read more

Ever since my previous dentist retired, I haven't been able to find a dentist on Kauai that lived up to my expectations, until I found KDS. I had a chipped tooth that needed repair and KDS was able to accomodate me right away. The office is very clean & modern with the latest technology. I went to Dr.Yoo last week for a tooth extraction and I couldn't believe how quickly he was able to get my tooth out and with no pain. He is a very knowledgeable Dentist and honestly the best one I have ever been to! I would recommend him to anyone!!! I was able to get an appointment with him quickly versus having to wait months like I would have at other offices around the island and the front desk coordinator Christine was very helpful. Out of all the dental offices on Kauai no one had a open appointment or it would be a hassle for a new patient and wait but Kauai Dental Studio saved the day and took me in the same day, first open appointment.
