Look no further if you're searching for an acupuncturist. After getting COVID, my boyfriend started using an inhaler. It started off with once in awhile with the over-the-counter inhaler to every single day (sometimes twice a day) to needing a prescribed inhaler every morning. My boyfriend NEVER needed an inhaler before nor does he have asthma. I have been seeing Jane Kaufman for just over 4 months and we have had great success in treating my chronic migraines. I have gained a quality of life I never thought possible as a lifetime sufferer. Jane really cares about her patients, is professional, courteous, and pleasant. Her office is clean, cute, well managed, and I rarely, if ever have to wait before seen. She also takes my insurance and is available via text to answer any concerns. At my first visit during intake, she listened attentively to what was going on, checked my tongue for signs of dietary imbalances, performed the treatment, and then sent me home with dietary suggestions and exercises to perform to improve my headaches. After following her suggestions and continuing seeing her for treatment, I have gone from having 13 or 14 headache days a month to 3 or less. My headaches are almost gone and I have faith that they might one day get rid of them entirely. When I finally received an official diagnosis, I was in the middle of a 42 day migraine. What is there to say that hasn't already been said? TL;DR If magic existed, you would find it at Kaufman Wellness. I stopped keeping track of how long I had been seeing the Doc after a month. I have had headaches and migraines since I was 5 years old. I always thought they were just really bad headaches. I went though doctors, neurologists, chiropractors, medicine, even the gym. My headaches never went away and never became less frequent. My wife forced me to show up at the consultation and Doc said she thought her treatment was what I was looking for. She only asked me to do one thing - trust the process. She was reassuring, kind, and determined to fix my issues. I got a homework list, and my first treatment. I cannot recommend Jane highly enough. I was a complete skeptic about acupuncture, but decided to give it a try because I was having neck and back pain. I had not had a regular cycle in my life (once every three months sometimes) and casually mentioned it to Jane, and within one session, Jane was able to regulate my hormones. Is there a 10-star option here? 5 stars don't say enough about how WONDERFUL working with Dr Kaufman is! You are truly a partner with her in your health care. She is very caring of her patients. She is an excellent listener and you really feel understood. For those who are not a fan of needles, she extremely gentle-handed when she's inserting the razor thin needles into the skin. Dr Kaufman also makes sure that her patients are relaxed and she creates a warm environment in the treatment rooms. I.E. A warm heating pad under your back, heat lamp on your feet, comfortable pillow, soft lighting - it's not a cold, sterile doctor's office. (I've been to another acupuncture office and it was not nearly as nice as this!) She's also a doctor who celebrates the big wins with her patients - she truly wants you to be well! We had a plan for balancing something out in my body that had been out of whack for months and when my body finally got to the place we wanted it to be, she was just as excited as I was! When I went to see Jane I could barely walk, the back pain was 24/7. Have herniated discs on my upper and lower back and a very inflamed piriformis muscle and sciatica nerve. Have done physical therapy and spinal alignments for weeks and weeks but nothing worked. I was willing to give acupuncture a try. Started feeling better from the beginning. After 3 months of treatment I am pain free. I have been pain free for 5 weeks. No more pain medication, no more pain patches. She also helped me with other issues. I suffer from IBS. My abdominal cavity rumbled like a volcano waiting to erupt. The bloating, inflammation, pain, poor bowel movement were making my life miserable. Acupuncture took care of that too. I want to start off saying Jane Kaufman is a miracle worker! Once you walk into her office it smells like aromatherapy and immediately you are entering and moment of serenity. My experience with Jane blew past any expectation I had for acupuncture. Today I am thrilled to say that only after a few weeks of sessions, Jane's treatments have brought me needed balance and relief after months (maybe years...) of dealing with anxiety and sweet cravings.
