I was referred to Jane by a friend. I originally went to her seeking physical pain relief for shin splints, and a tail bone injury. After about 3-4 sessions I had zero physical pain. I would never say I am old, just getting older. I had an issue being "hot" all the time. Never thought in a million years acupuncture would work but I have seen this work for many other things. I called Dr. Kaufman, explained what was happening and initially did a treatment. I monitored my "hotness" and noticed at the first week , it was less. Scheduled a follow up a week later and notice the frequency was less. After 6 sessions, I realized I don't remember the last time it happened. For many months, I had a back pain and eventually visited a chiropractor because I realized taking a pain killer every morning was not normal.  I was hesitant as a chiropractor is not a real doctor, right?  Well he fixed me.  I no longer wake up felling like a 90 year old man.  A few years later, I starter getting a pain on my leg to the point where I couldn't walk of how intense the pain was.  I popped a few pain killers for a few days but decided to visit my doctor.  After some x-rays and visiting a physical therapist, they determined I have sciatica and needed weekly therapy at $50 a visit.  I did therapy for about 3 weeks and visited my chiropractor.  Things got better but the pain was still lurking on a daily basis.  I then did some research online about sciatica and of course they recommend physical therapy, visiting a chiropractor and streaching.  A few sites recommended acupuncture.  How can being poked with needles fix my problem?  The chiropractor fixed my back, so let's give an acupuncturist a shot with my leg.  I decided to visit Jane Kaufman.  Holly molly.  After a few visits, the pain is gone!!!!  I loved the fact that in our first visit, she stated that I will not need to visit constantly to manage the pain.  A few visits and we are done.  I am sure every situation is different but in my case I visited her four times.  The needles are painless.  Don't confuse a hypodermic needle with an acupuncture needle.  If you have an ailment that your primary doctor cannot fix, give Jane Kaufman a visit. read more
