Kavir doesn't seem like a store. It seems like a building, and one you're not meant to go into. But I saw rugs in the window, and giant 'sale' signs. So I entered.
As I approached the door, a frightening, high-pitched beep surrounded me. The jig was up. I was trespassing on someone's property and I'd been caught. But as I listened for police helicopters, I wondered if I might be overreacting. I opened the door and entered the store and heard the foreboding clump, clump of slow footsteps on hollow floorboards. Suddenly, my paranoia developed into a fear of the supernatural as I realised this rug store was haunted, for no matter where I looked, I could see no one to make those noises. Indeed, it seemed as if the footsteps came from above!
And of course, they did. It'd overlooked a pocket of stairs, from which descended a woman, who began, after a greeting, to wander about the store awkwardly as I perused her store.
The place was deserted, and though it in't exactly a hidden treasure trove of material, there is a very large selection of mazes at clearance prices. And the poor woman seems to be going out of business or something. Why else but for lack of traffic did she have that sensor installed and withdraw to the room above? read more
