Had a sushi hankering but also wanted to make sure the non-sushi family members had options. We were all happy: my sushi maki rolls were fresh and tasty, my son's veggie bao sandwich was delicious, my other son enjoyed the fried rice, and my wife had a great plate of hibachi chicken (which supplied the fried rice for my other kid). Portions were generous and the service was prompt and friendly. Dining area was really lovely, works for date night or family meals. Will return again!

The food was delicious, service was good. Our little diners would have loved some ketchup but there was none to be found. The setting is small and intimate.

I always like to try a new sushi spot to add to my go to list so I had to hit up Kawa. I really enjoyed the yellowtail collar it was seasoned well with a hint of curry which was interesting. The rest of the sushi was ok. Prices are pretty inline with sushi fare. I liked the interior dining room, quaint, cute and makes you feel like you may be in Japan. I'd go back and dine in next time.

My husband and I have only had the appetizers and we are already impressed. The spicy seafood soup and the jalepano yellowtail, we are thoroughly impressed. The quality of the ingredients and the taste is very good. The soup had a flavorful taste, not just burning your mouth with spice. We ordered the sushi and sashimi for 2 and we are excited for more. I would say this is the top sushi spots in the Philadelphia area, and we came from Los Angeles. The ambiance is very clean but immersive. Highly recommend. Service was quick for a Saturday afternoon around 1pm.

My husband and I were craving sushi near us so my husband surprised me with bringing me to a new sushi place near us. The sushi rolls were big! We were not expecting them to be that since the spot we usually go to makes them smaller. The rolls tasted delicious and overall we had a great experience.

Delicious sushi and great service. Cozy and nicely decorated too. Crispy chicken bun was tasty too.

It was easy to get a table here. We ordered a special app w two raw ousters dressed in rice vinegar, ginger, some row. It was quite a treat. Then we split the sushi sashimi platter for two. Lots to enjoy and quite satisfying. Attentive service and lively atmosphere w a fun jumbo video screen showing famous chefs buying and tasting from large fosh in a market of fish-mongers.

First time here, and was pleasantly surprised. My family had the sushi and sashimi for two, NY strip bento box, soft shell crab baos, agedashi tofu and the uni. Prices were reasonable, food was good (especially the sushi), and we all left satisfied. Very happy to have found this place. The uni in particular was amazing.

What a cute little sushi joint in Springfield! Spacious enough to bring a small family and beautifully decorated for a date! Even better was the lunch special! $13 for 3 quality sushi rolls? Yes, please! $12 ramen? Yesss, thank you! I would advise on the shoju ramen, the soup base may be up to par to Terakawa, but closer to home! Our staff was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back! BYOB establishment.

The edamame was standard, and the takoyaki and pan-fried dumplings didn't taste homemade. Rather they both reminded me of what you would pick up at the frozen section at the food market. Nevertheless, they were passable. After all, we were here for the ramen. I opted in for their Terakawa special. The broth was flavourful, and the chashu was the most tender and juicy chashu I've ever had. As for the girlfriend, she opted in for their spicy ramen which was also spectacular. I absolutely loved her wavy noodles. I would have loved to have swapped out my straight noodles for her wavy noodles. They have a nice bounce and slightly chewy texture. Their marinated eggs were to die for. We put in a few extra orders for these. Overall, a great experience. The staff seemed to be right on the ball, and this small and cozy restaurant definitely makes you feel transported to Japan.

The ones we had in Hawaii had a spicy kick at the end. These were comparably good. One flavor all around. No spicy after kick. The Kalua Pork and Cabbage was spicier than what we had at Hawaii. It actually tasted better. They added ginger and it was spicy. I liked the Taiwanese cabbage better than what we had in Hawaii, which was regular cabbage. The ribeye steak ramen was good as well. It makes me want to try the rib eye entree. I like the black pepper flavor. I took the steak out as soon as it served, so it would not cook anymore in the broth. I was impressed that they made it medium rare. The chicken broth was not too salty, which it can be in other places, so I was pleased that it wasn't. The menma bamboo was crunchy. Many places have it too soft. The black seaweed/wood ear like topping was also crunchy. The wavy ramen noodles were perfectly QQ or all dente. There were two doors to open at the entrance. Handicap accessible. No steps. Two gender neutral restrooms. Spacious. Handicap accessible. We found street parking right out front. We came at 7 PM on a Monday after the dinner rush. Our server was very attentive. He also answered all my questions. I asked it they were Pulehu Ribs. When he did not know, he went to ask his colleague. I would come back for the same dishes, get a bigger order of the short ribs, and try the garlic shrimp. Definitely a new staple for us. Before going to Hawaii, we never had Hawaiian food before. This was a good way to revisit our vacation!
