Absolutely love this place and don't understand why it's not more crowded. Never gone for dinner, only lunch, so maybe that is why. The food is fantastic, and so is the service. The few times I've been there we were the only party of 2 or 3 at the hibachi. We got the full show with the onion volcano, flipping the egg on the spatula, and tossing some veggies into our mouth. We generally order the dinners first lunch, larger portions and a salad is included. I almost always get the chicken and steak dinner combo, medium rare. Comes with fried rice, soup, and a salad. Absolutely love the two dipping sauces provided, one is mustard based I'm sure, not so sure about the other but it's delicious. I enjoyed catching food in my mouth, the onion volcano, and the scorching blaze at the beginning of the meal. Our chef, Jess, was full of energy and made my day! He cooked delicious food while also singing to us! The fried rice, seafood, and steak was delicious when served piping hot, right off the grill. The drinks were delicious too. My little soda pop was so re-FRE-shing and completely quenched my thirst with every drop I drank up. Weird that it's not higher rated! The food is decent and service has always been great. Renovated a few years ago so it's nicer and newer inside. I've been multiple times, gotten takeout, sushi, and hibachi; all were good. I love the mustard dipping sauce that comes with the hibachi, it's perfect for every protein option. The meats and seafood are all good quality, and the soups aren't too too salty. The hibachi show was pretty entertaining, and I've been to a few different places but they had some tricks I hadn't seen before! They accommodated my party of 16 for hibachi with no issues. It all started of well, ambiance was perfect for a birthday dinner. We got our drinks and wines glasses BYOB! Placed orders for food. 5 guest and 4 of the 5 had the steak! We each awaken to either diarrhea, stomach and or chest pains. I had already been turned off when the cook place my medium steak on my girlfriend's plate. My cousin and I had delicious food yesterday at Shogun 3 yesterday. However, we both ended up with food poisoning after eating two different shrimp dishes. I had my food poisoning reaction about 30 minutes after starting to eat and ended up in Shogun's bathroom for 30 minutes in pain. It was over in about an hour. My research shows that food poisoning from shrimp can have onset after only 30 minutes. My cousin had similar GI symptoms about 8 hours later. I was extremely distressed by the reaction of the restaurant manager and owner, who charged us for the food. The next day when I called to say that my cousin also got food poisoning, I was told that since no one else in the restaurant got sick that day, they had no problem charging us for the food bill and he refused to refund the money we spent. I visited Shogun 3 for my dad's birthday with a group of 7. Dad was excited for his first hibachi show, and we were happily watching the older chef cook for 2 other tables. While the younger hibachi chef cooked extremely quickly, we were disappointed by the lack of entertainment and interaction - no food toss into mouth, no cool sound when peppering the food, no egg juggling, the onion fire lasted only a second, any any of the normal hibachi gimmicks we saw at the other tables. I have personally been to 8 hibachi restaurants and this is my first unhappy experience. It felt incredibly rushed and was just him cooking on a flat top. *One order our, Shogun Special (Steak, Shrimp, & Chicken) was completely missed. The waitress wrote it down correctly on the slip. After i pointed out we were missing an order, chicken and 3 shrimps were added. After everyone received their meals, I realized the steak was missing for the Shogun Special & had to point this out again. Thid should not be on the customer to noticTowards the end, my brother's steak was cooked after we had mostly finished eating, causing him to box his food. The show experience fell disappointingly short for the $306 (w. Tip) we spent, and we were hoping for more flair and fun in the performance. Shogun 3 was the absolute perfect spot to hold my daughter's 10th birthday party. We opted for a Saturday afternoon. Shogun offered us the kid's menu and lunch menu for our guest. The average entree price was $15 per kid. Fountain drinks were FREE REFILLS (so brave!) The hibachi chef was fantastic, playing all the usual hibachi hits. Flaming heart, onion volcano, flying zucchini! The kids LOVED it. We brought cupcakes for dessert. The staff brought my daughter out a special dessert, sang Happy Birthday with us, and let my kid hit the ceremonial gong! Parent pro-tip: We've hosted parties at all the typical spots. Jump places, rock climbing, playgrounds, etc. Keeping track of the other peoples' kids is exhausting. Hosting here has everyone seated for essentially the entire time. read more

We've been to Shogun 3 recently in the last six months--both for a Hibachi meal and table as well as just a sushi dining experience. I wan to say that the rolls are definitely kid approved and I really like the variety of the vegetarian rolls available. The quality of the fish is excellent and their special rolls are presented beautifully. The Hibachi experience is classic and excellent. First off, they got our reservation wrong...and didn't even apologize. I understand these things happen but an apology would have been nice. Second, and this almost put me over the top, when we asked when our rolls would be ready, I was trying to pace my self, our waitresses sparky response was, when it's ready. Really!? Cheap, basic, divey, BYOB, half priced sushi night - Monday & Tuesday only! It's just that simple. Some of our favorites off the half priced night menu: Kani Salad Spicy Tuna New York Shrimp Tempura Spicy Salmon Rainbow For the two of us, our bill rarely breaks $30. Don't come in on a night you're in a rush as it can be packed and yes, service can be slow... but you know what, the same servers have been working there for as long as I can think back man they work hard. They even remember all the little details that make coming here worth every dollar you save. The cup of ice my mom likes on the side, the extra ginger we request with our mounds of sushi or the fact that we always start with the Kani Salad. My 4 stars may seem generous because there is nothing spectacular to rave about at Sho Gun 3 when it comes to the food but dang, they are consistent and I'm a super fan. You have $2-$3 priced nigiris which are relatively fresh -- obviously not the best sushi I've ever had but does it meet the price, yes. On top of that, they're byob no corkage fee! You also have $2-4 priced hand cut rolls and also hand rolls, as well as a few select $5 special rolls such as Spider and Rainbow roll. Dinner for two amounted to roughly $30 before tip, and I will mention we probably didn't need our last two rolls, but alas I am a fatass. Solid choice to get your sushi fix in the area, but not break your wallet. Like other reviews state, service is usually terribly slow. But, this isn't the place you go if you want high quality sushi, just cheap sushi when there's a deal. Recently, I went for the first time in a long time with friends from home. The food was nothing to write home about, but the service was less than pleasant. A friend immediately noticed her order was messed up, so she politely informed the server, who tried to tell her it wasn't wrong. When she finally realized the error, she seemed annoyed and took away the whole plate though only part of the sushi order was wrong. Let's not forget about the hibachi tables. These folks also do a very nice job with this experience. Everything is kept very clean and that's especially important with this type of dining. There are no surprises here. If you have done hibachi before, all the basics are here. The beef, chicken, shrimp, and combo choices are all available. The sushi gets a 5 the service gets a 1. Be prepared to wait especially if you go for half priced sushi on Monday or Tuesday. The Sushi here is great and by far the best I have had in the area. The Hibachi is tasty you are given a pretty large portion. The sushi tastes really fresh the crunch rolls are really crunchy. There are lots of white tuna options on the menu which is a favorite. The spider rolls and tempura shrimp rolls are great. Really good sushi and cheap on Mondays and Tuesdays, average prices for sushi on other days. I really cant say anything bad about the food. The service on the other hand.... The service here is lacking the servers aren't rude but when eating here you tend to feel like your are on an island trying to flag down a plane when trying to get their attention. Once you get your food they will not come back to check on you. Drink refills ha you better start with smoke signals. If the dining room is full and they ask if you want to sit at a hibachi table and eat dinner try to avoid that.. I would normally give them a pass cause it is really busy on Mon and Tues, but the service is the same on normal days as well. Once you ask them for something they generally bring it quickly though. If you go on Mon or Tues do not go hungry you will wait about an average of 45 mins from arrival to taking your first bite. read more

I am here literally every Tuesday night, with my boyfriend and his best friend, for their half price sushi. The sushi is good, the prices are very reasonable, and service is ok and could definitely improve. I only prefer two of their wait staff, because they're the only ones who seem to know whats going on. The wait however for sushi is very long, especially if you come around 7-730 and it is packed. A good solution is to order an app or salad to curb your hunger while patiently waiting for your sushi. The half price menu is definitely worth it in my book, considering I usually order 2 rolls; 1 handroll; 6-8 orders of sashimi and a few more if I still have a craving for some, therefore I'm not cheap to take out.....hahahahaha. I'm a sushi fanatic and could eat it everyday. They are BYOB so take advantage of that! I wanted spicy yellowtail (I didn't realize it wasn't on the menu) but they made it for me anyway! It's not the fanciest place but it's inexpensive and the service is great. Solid Chinese and Hibachi place; am it giving four stars for a solid 3* cooking and 5* prices. We went there with our family of four for lunch Hibachi. All had chicken special with some kind of seafood (shrimp, salmon and scallops) nice show as well for the kids. Portions are a bit on the smaller side but good prices for 10-12$. Every Monday and Tuesday their Sushi is off 1/2, so try that. read more

We've eaten here before and the food is good but not THAT good. Firstly, the waiter Cam is very rude and messed up our orders on two separate occasions. Secondly, Monday Night, Half Off Sushi, has a lot of stipulations that don't make any sense. We came as a group to order half off Sushi and didn't finish our order. Instead of allowing customers to take to go portions of our order we were told that we have to pay full price for the uneaten portions or leave it. Are they recycling uneaten sushi? I don't understand the logic. I've heard of the rule for no orders to go on All You Can Eat specials but never for half off. Again, the sushi here is just "ok" and the spicy salmon rolls aren't good at all. I won't be returning and would steer clear of any sushi place that has these "rules" read more

I can say with confidence that I am here pretty much every week. Monday and Tuesday means half price sushi, and being the sushi monster that I am, you can bet your sweet ass I'm gonna be taking advantage of this deal whenever poss. The sushi is awesome and plentiful - a long list of your standard nigiri, sashimi, maki and temaki offerings. There's nothing here that you can't find anywhere else, but I love Shogun because it manages to be cheap and delicious at the same time (which is rare in the sushi world). As for the other menu offerings, their hibachi lunches are pretty good and also very affordable. ALSO, you must try their fried rice, but be sure to throw some spicy mayo on it. Only downside is that the service can be slow on Monday and Tuesday, but hey, when you finally get your plate loaded with some seven rolls or so, you kind of forget all about that. read more
