While looking for a photobooth vendor, we wanted one that was just right, not too involved and…read morefreaked out the guests but also one that wasn't totally non-existent. While we got one through ShutterBooth that was somewhat nonexistent, our guests were able to think for themselves and enjoy the photobooth! Our booking was relatively simple. They had availability for our wedding day (the initial one and the our re-planned one), and the explanation of what we initially wanted was pretty easy to understand. The options didn't change, other than the destination of where they'd set up and on what day, but the uniqueness and customization was known within the final couple weeks. During the final couple weeks, we received a couple calls to confirm the itinerary, our booth look and feel, album, photo print layout, and other logistics of the day. All seemed very detailed and professional. Pros: The boot looked pretty typical but not flashy, hidden towards the side of our venue. We had the standard black drapes and items to put on or use in the photos. It was big enough for 5 people comfortably, but some photos we squeeze a few more people in as we all started drinking more. All of our photos came out great for our guests and for our album, where many chose to write messages to us in the photo album. We also received a digital copy of all of our stuff. Cons: Our "host" wasn't very interactive. Luckily our guests knew it was there and were pretty rowdy to be able to help themselves, or else nobody probably would have used it. I remember arriving to the photobooth with my wife to do a photo sessions and all of the props were still packed up in the box. We did end up with a lot of photos that people did, so clearly the "host" didn't deem whether the photobooth would be successful or not.

Our contacts pre-wedding were great and I think we ended up getting a number of great shots from the booth throughout our reception. The 4-star just has to come from the professional side of the booth set-up. The staff person on-site was remarked on by a few guests as a bit less than pleasant. Perhaps slightly annoyed at times for printing multiple copies of the picture strips. There was also zero orientation for guests to the booth itself, leading to a failure rate of ~20-25% of our photos. By this I mean, they never told guests that there were 4 photos per session or that they came every 3 seconds (very fast if costume-changing), leading to folks scrambling and missing at least one of the 4 photos in nearly every single set. Personally, I as the groom approached her at the end of the night (to her credit, 1 minute after closing) and asked for one last quick photo. She promptly denied, stated it was past closing, and proceeded to take down the background in front of me. It absolutely was past closing, but everyone around remarked on how rude the reply was - and how would any of the guests know when closing was for this vendor. Felt like the staff could have handled the event with more professionalism and it would have resulted in a better product overall. That said, we loved many of the photos and I know guests enjoyed the experience.

I tell you, we hit the jackpot deciding to hire Jeron. Upon our initial phone consultation, afterwards we knew we wanted to give him an opportunity to capture our big day. He was very professional timely, and caught some very good shots and poses of us. We were in awe at how beautiful and professional our engagement photos turned out. Booked a Boudoir photo session at their Pleasant Ridge/Ferndale location back in September 2014. I…read morewas doing the session as a gift for my fiance (now my husband) before our wedding in October. I was nervous to do it, but one of my best friends suggested and even encouraged me to do it. I thought on it for a week or two, then finally went for it. They offered a deal on Groupon, but when I called I was told they actually had a deal a little better than the Groupon offer. 2 outfit changes, 4x6 hardcover book with 20 images (edited), and I honestly can't even remember what the price was now. It was reasonable I do remember that much. I was also given the option to purchase the raw (unedited) photos from the session for $99.00. There were alot of images, so I spent the extra money since there were pics I liked that my husband didn't pick as part of his 20. Now driving there was a little bit of an issue. My GPS took me to the opposite side of Woodward - putting me directly across the street from the actual business. I figured it out though. So if you're heading here, here's what you need to know: heading South on Woodward, the building (2 story white building - kind of colonial looking) is on your right (West side of Woodward). It's on the same side as Rust Belt Market, but it's not quite that far down. I did my own hair, but opted to have my makeup done there. It was an additional charge for both services (if I'm not mistaken) but worth it. I loved my makeup, but hated my lashes. They looked great in the photos though. In person they just kind of looked like wild little spider legs. They were the "piece" kind - not the strips. Sorry...not a makeup person so I don't know proper terminology. I was offered a Mimosa while getting my makeup done, which was GREAT since I was super nervous. Being in front of a bunch of strangers - in lingerie - is a little nerve racking! The Mimosa took the edge off a little. One outfit was supposed to be shot upstairs, and the second outfit was supposed to be shot downstairs. When Kim (photographer) seen my outfit though, she wanted them both to be shot downstairs. I liked her ideas, so I was on board with it. I brought a pair of shoes with me, but they also had shoes in various sizes to choose from. I ended up wearing mine for one outfit, and a black pair of theirs for a second outfit. I wanna say the shoot was somewhere between 1 and 2 hrs long. They're were 2 photographers shooting at the same time. All the ladies there did a great job making me feel comfortable, and directing me through the poses. I'm not gonna pretend I wasn't a little uncomfortable - cause I was - but those ladies really were great. Throughout the shoot they would both show me some pics that they had got and I was definitely impressed. My favorite pics were the pinup ones they took, using various suitcases as props. I had brought a red plaid swimsuit from Pinup Girl Clothing with me and it went great - even though they were just suitcases. I loved those pics! I was told it would take 3-4 wks to receive my book once I submitted the 20 images I wanted to use. Well it actually ended up taking 2 months! I wasn't at all happy with the process and thought it was kind of scatterbrained, but once I reached out to the owner (Kim) I had a better understanding. I was happy I told her what was going on, and was able to get things resolved. The main problem was lack of communication - she wasn't even aware of the run around I was receiving from various people. The reason I took so long to write this review is because I just picked up my book last Friday. I had emailed one of the employees several times, but it never worked out. Either cause she didn't respond or I forgot to go pick it up. On my last email, I came to the assumption that maybe the lady I was emailing no longer worked there. So I forwarded the email to Kim and automatically got a response. Hooray! I drove out there to get my book, and was very happy with it. My husband was VERY happy with it as well. Would've been 5 stars had I not had such a long turn around on getting the book, but gave it more than 3 stars cause I really sympathized with Kim. She's great and so is her work. Ladies - consider this for your man if you wanna do something special that will really wow him. Trust me.

We had a horrible experience with Rawlinson Photography. They sent a $100 credit via email, but on…read morethe day of our wedding, he asked for the $100 back. He threatened me that if I didn't give him the $100 back (claiming it was an administrative mistake), he would leave our wedding. It was so stressful.... He was very rude, unwilling to go over any details, and not very organized. When we received our wedding photos via mail (flash drive), he sent the wrong event photos (NOT OUR WEDDING). He then insisted that I had to physically drop off the flash drive at his location and pick up ours. When we received our photos, the lighting was bad, and the photos were awkward, candid shots. He did not take the time to make sure we looked good in them, which was disappointing. Additionally, none of the photos were edited or polished. It was like he just showed up, started snapping photos like a child with no care or professionalism, and then just downloaded them to give them to us directly. We had to edit our own photos, because he said we would have to pay an additional $1000 to get any edits. Also, our package included a final print, which he did not honor, so I had to go elsewhere to get a professional print of a photo of my husband and me (after we edited ourselves).
