I was in a wedding a year ago and the newlyweds are still waiting on getting everything promised to them in their wedding package. Jessica continues to take on new clients under both this company name and her actual name and posts them almost daily to her blogs, websites, and social media sites, but has not completed orders or communicated with clients who paid for her services a year ago. It's despicable. While she can capture the most important moments in a person's life with beautiful photos, they mean nothing if you don't get them. If you do hire her, I would also discourage you from paying for one of her albums. I have seen first hand the low quality of her albums and have seen much better displays of a person's momentous occasion from an album created on Snapfish. Jessica Beamgard/M&J Photography would be a big mistake for you.

My oldest child is 16 and I dragged her to every portrait studio under the sun and was always disappointed with the photos: they looked like school pictures each and every time. Then we met Marla through one of her children. We met her at a park for photos of our three children and I have never witnessed someone so at ease with her clients, surroundings, and camera. When we met her in her studio to review the photos she had taken, we had such a hard time choosing which pictures to order: they were all beautiful and captured our children's personalities perfectly. We ordered more photos than we expected going in, but it was just so difficult to decide. She is always so gracious with sending us a few extra prints too, which says something about her customer service. I get the feeling that she looks at all of her clients as family members and gives her best every time. We had her take photos of the entire family a few years later and she continues to capture our children perfectly in photos. She is very flexible and accomodating with her time and camera. I have photos from both sessions hanging in a few rooms in our home and countless friends and acquaintances have remarked on the beautiful photos on our walls. These are all the work of Marla. Yes, you will pay for high quality photos, but you get what you pay for, and working with Marla from start to finish, each time, is worth every single penny. You won't be sorry.

After that it was another hour to see anyone to see our photos and pick out the ones we liked. On top of that there's not a lot of room to be seated so we stood for a lot of the time. We came here with our 11 month old and it was very difficult to keep her occupied. There were a lot of other children older then her and a lot of foot traffic so it's hard to allow her to walk around. Staff we polite but were rushing you in and out of rooms. It's obvious they don't understand how to schedule appointments. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I'd give zero stars if it was possible
