He's patient, he listens to you and he thoroughly explains things to you, He's definitely not one of those Drs who just prescribes you medication and tells you to come back in a couple of weeks. Keep in mind that this is a walk in clinic so they can be a wait but if you have an appt the wait really isn't too bad. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is from a couple of issues relating to the staff (not calling in meds, kind of a big deal). I recently started physical therapy here and can honestly say the physical therapists really have getting you feeling better as their top priority.

So no wonder the front of house staff treats people coming in the door terribly when that's how they are treated internally. We wasted time filling out all documents and sitting for an hour before being told being seen here would be a liability because he had already had a surgery on his clavicle. All we wanted was to review his pain management and wound care. Not to mention the place is FILTHY from the outside. You are a dollar sign to these people. And I'm not even sure they have qualified enough staff. Overall nightmare.

The worst part was that he provided incorrect medical advice for my ankle fracture. He eventually gave up because he didn't know what to do and recommended surgery. Disagreeing with his recommendation, I consulted another orthopedic doctor. In just a 15-minute session, the new doctor revealed that Dr. Berkowitz had made mistakes from the start, including the inappropriate use of a cast. Contrary to Berkowitz's opinion, the new doctor confirmed that my case had zero chance of requiring surgery and that I could gradually resume exercising and playing tennis. I waited six months to write this review to ensure the final outcome, which aligned with the new orthopedic's advice. Therefore, I strongly do not recommend this doctor.

my name is claudia. i saw dr. r. berkowitz this week june 5th 2025. i've had total knee…read morereplacements 6/2001 & one left knee revision in oct. 2010. i've been having a lot of pain in both knees recently, had xrays taken, the outcome is i might need a right knee revision after so many yrs, 24 yrs in right knee, that's a long time. have to take blood to make sure there's no infection, get shots, then we will find out. dr. berkowitz was fabulous he explained everything , he was extremely caring. the xray technician was very helpful. the staff in the reception area was great. i would highly recommend dr. r. berkowitz for your knee replacements or knee revision. the last time i saw the dr. was in 2022 regarding my right knee. both times he was excellent & explained everything. god bless dr. r. berkowitz.

But now it seems he only sees patients who need surgery. Dr. Shaw is the doctor for the Florida Panthers so he must be busy with them during season as well. Now I see Lisandy. I hope I am spelling that right. He is wonderful. He gives a lot of time and attention to me. He recommended some great exercises for my shoulder pain. They have helped me. Lisandy really cares about his patients. The only bad thing about this office is it is often hard to talk to someone from the front desk staff on the phone. I have called too many times where I talk to the answering service at 10:30am because the front desk staff is too busy. That is the only negative thing I have to say about this practice.
