On the pre walk through in July the AC next to the Master Bedroom was so.loud. when we moved the Bedroom Set in after closing the sound was vibrating the Wall. They had the AC Company coming out, he set up the AC one Room didn't got an Air. After not sleeping for 6 weeks and the Company getting the AC Company out here we finally had enough. Hired a Contractor who did soundproof Walls. The Hose from the AC was in the middle of the don't know if you can call.that Insulation. Kb finally send out the the big Boss and they put blown in paper pulp into 5 Ribs in the Wall. We it was a little less noisy but when we dud a trial run with Drywall the same thing happened again. He had the Contractor build us a second stud wall filled it with Rockwall and soundproof Foam ( what they use in Music Recording Studios) then we added green Glue in between the Drywall 5/8 this time and taped the Wall. Didca test sleep and it was the best sleep in 8 weeks. Got a call today from the I guess Regional Manager they are not paying for anything. House cost close to $ 400.000 and it's the worst House we bought in 32 Years. My Neighbor has Stucco Problems after 10.month, our Driveway is cracking ( that's supposed to ge normal) our old one cracked after 5 years in Colorado Springs but Classic CEO took care of their Customer himself. Doubt it if this Company. Have Family and Friends moving here they definitely won't buy from that Builder. I do not recommend purchasing a home from KBHomes in Tucson. while we are happy with the location and layout of our home, the good things end there. The quality and standard that they operate on are subpar at best. They will do everything possible to do the bare minimum on the home and have zero issues leaving known issues in the home as long as it's "liveable". read more

Are you thinking of buying from this company? Please, for your sake, don't. Save yourself the absolute nightmare of dealing with their bad designs and poor workmanship. We bought a home from them in 2023. I did so aware that the quality of new construction homes from tract builders is generally not amazing and that you have to keep on top of things and hire inspectors if you want to have the hope of having a decent experience. We did all that. We still ended up with a total disaster of a house. What happened? Well, where to start! Within a year, we had water and mold in the walls by our front door because our stoop wasn't graded correctly and all the water from the roof pours down over the doorway. Most of the houses in our neighborhood had the same problem. To KB's credit, they did remediate the issue. However, the "design flaw" on our house meant we lost access to our front door, had to have loud machines running on our lower level 24/7 for a couple of weeks, and had to be home every day to allow the remediation company to check on things and to let people in for drywall, grout, and painting. It was frustrating and time consuming. We had our house professionally painted when we moved in, and KB's painters wouldn't use our paint, so we had to redo the whole door area ourselves. Oh, and did I mention the concrete company they sent out initially just tried to cut grooves in our stoop for drainage instead of actually grinding it to the correct grade? Picture of this "repair" attached. And that was just one door-related problem. From the very first monsoon season, our sliding glass door track flooded the house. Then it started leaking from the top. Then from the sides. More water damage to the walls. We reported this on June 21. It took over a month of us steady nagging on our part for an actual repair to be attempted, and I say attempted because--after ripping out our entire sliding door frame, cutting into our stucco, and opening our walls (and leaving them like that for weeks in the middle of summer, leading to our house being sweltering and invaded by black widows and roaches)--they still didn't fix the leak around the bottom of the door. They also introduced a new leak--the new door frame dumped water straight into the wall! It turns out that three different trades had don't done their jobs properly. Install attempt #3, on the door resulted in a door that still doesn't drain properly from the track. KB finally admitted that the problem was that our house, unlike those of most of our neighbors, is an end unit that doesn't have another house blocking the rain from pounding the door. The door simply can't drain water fast enough because it wasn't intended to be installed in an exposed area. KB admitted that another home owner with an end unit was having the same problem and said that their engineers were going to design and build us some kind of awning or cover to prevent the flooding. We were grateful. We waited for word on the design. Two weeks later, they came back to us and told us no dice after all. Even though they admit this was a design flaw and that they took responsibility for it, the most they would offer us was $1000 reimbursement on the patio cover we will need to build to prevent the house they built us from flooding during normal weather conditions (see actual text exchange below). We're looking at a massive expense--and having to fight our HOA for approval of a new structure--just to keep our stuff from being destroyed if we're not home when it rains to shove a bunch of towels around our door. If you are buying a home from KB Homes, please make sure before you move in EVERYTHING is complete, they show you how to use everything (it's a smart house lol). We still don't know how to use everything in the house. Make sure everything is working and they follow up with you when they say they will. From day one it was a $hit show (kind of forced into the house plan we have, long story) and we should have known to look elsewhere. They make promises they cannot keep. Don't get me wrong we love our house, but two years later we still have items that are still should be taken care of. And they now want nothing to do with us. We have a cracked tile on the floor that was supposed to be replaced many months ago, our walls still needed repainting. They came multiple times to repaint spots that were "missed", but still didn't get it right. Our kitchen cabinets are not even (again, they came multiple times to correct and they are still not right). Do not, and I mean do not buy the suggested appliances. You are better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's and having them put them in with their warranty. We have had nothing but issues with our appliances. Supposedly they were supposed to check on us at the 6, 12 and I think 18 month mark. I think it was the 14th or 15th month (sorry I do not remember the exact time) was the first time they actually checked on us. Others in our neighborhood were checked on. Thats how we found out about the check ins. The houses are cheaply made and it shows, but not cheap! Happy house hunting! read more

Stay far far away from this unethical builder as of now I have had broken granite installed, cracked flooring throughout the house, a perimeter wall that could easily be pushed over, and have lost over $2000 in wages for things to still not be fixed. corporate does not care about you they pawn you off to someone locally who cares even less. As of now I have reached out to a contract attorney to help with this. I will never come back to KB. After the way I was treated and the way the manager of the studio (Lauren?) treated not only me but her employees, except for her pet, I'm disgusted and would rather build a home out of match sticks and gasoline than go through that again. The only useful person there was Mexican with long dark hair and on the shorter side. It's absolutely appalling the way the employees were treated. I can't consciously buy a home from a company that uses and abuses employees unless they are pets or in management. Even if this was the home I was really wanting I cancelled. WARNING!! DO NOT BUY A KB HOME!!!! I have built thousands of homes and purchased dozens. I have NEVER seen such POOR QUALITY in new construction in my life. Not by any of my subcontractors and not in any of the new construction I have purchased. They will assure you that when you purchase one of their homes they will give you so much time to create a punch list of any complaints you have and to "be prepared to have someone come through within 72 hours." IT HAS BEEN ONE YEAR! Contacting KB home became a full time job trying to get a response. When I did finally arouse them through veiled threats of legal action I would finally get empty promises. I would be given a date and time over and over only to TAKE OFF WORK AND WAIT IN VAIN!!!! I call KB homes Krooked and Broken Homes because EVEN THE WALLS ARE CROOKED! AT LEAST THOSE ARE FINISHED WALLS! I can't tell you how much they left UNFINISHED, HALF DONE, SLOPPILY RENDERED. Honestly some of the work looks like a blind man without fingertips did it. A monkey or a toddler could have paid more care. So nearly a year since my last review and KB "management" working with me and pretty much the same issues. Poor customer care and a refusal on KB's part to take accountability and make things right. We have witnessed KB management providing free upgrades to people they know, being told of "management reviews" that KB admits don't exist and having items placed in a work order and scheduled suddenly questioned when they don't show up. Jan 2020 purchase date and we still haven't had a final "wall-wall" walkthrough that is promised to take place within the first year. Customer service training and not treating homeowners differently is sorely missing. Looking forward to speaking with the President of Operations. read more

I bought a KB home at Mountain enclave Home at Tucson in the end year 2021 and moved in the end of year 2022. KB had one year warranty. Before one year warranty expired, I hired professional inspector and provided inspection report to KB. Now 6 months later, there are still 70 percent of the repairs not done including cracks, damaged door bell, unlevelled AC etc and roof. They do not answer either calls or emails. They called me every week while the house was building and did the survey before the house was completed. This was trick. I am planning to go through legal process. If there is negative rating, I would do so. Please do not buy KB home anymore. read more

KB Homes does not care about their customers. Your repairs will continue and get worst as years go along. Their customer service is very disrespectful and never accept their fault. They are always right. Instead they blame you and make you feel stupid and ignorant about being a homeowner. They are not professionals and this is why it's chaotic to deal with them. They don't have any management skills and training for customer service. Also, during the walkthrough before you close, they don't like you to have someone who understands construction and they'll make their walk through quick so you don't see anything wrong Then later you complain. They'll say you should have reported this within 10 days. Then later on, it's all the fault of the customer. They are not grateful for the homeowners who because of the sales of their houses they got a job. But their minds don't know how to analyze further but are only limited to defending KB homes. If you like to be happy and peaceful please I beg of you don't buy a KB Home. Give yourself the best house but never a KB home. Took 14 months to build the house. By that time life happened and I was not going to be able to re-enlist in the military. Therefore, I no longer qualified for the loan. I paid $3,900 out of pocket for a few upgrades. KB refused to give that money back but completed the upgrades in the homes and sold the upgrades again. They sold the upgrades that I paid for to someone else. Basically ripping someone else off and leaving a now unemployed veteran and his family with $3900 less in their bank account.
