Unfortunately, I will not be back. I was looking for a go-to nail salon when I moved here 3 years ago, stumbled upon KBS before my wedding in 2024, was quite frankly desperate and Natalie (who no longer works there) did amazing work so I returned another time. My mom came with me ahead of my wedding and Natalie did amazing per usual, but my mom was nipped and bleeding all over the place with her nail tech and did not have an enjoyable experience. She gave me a gift card for my birthday last year but sadly I have developed a gel allergy so I haven't been back since (wanted to put it to good use). I have a wedding this weekend and decided to go, but the singular email they send you with the gift card was no where to be found. Didn't think this would be a problem thinking they would have the ability to pull it up on their end as I did have proof of purchase and the confirmation code. When I arrived, I explained the situation upfront and was told by the owner that the gift card would be honored. I get my nails done but when it was time to check out, I was suddenly told they couldn't accept it without the email and that I should contact the third party. Frustrating to be told one thing at the start and something completely different at the end, with no consideration for the customer and their lack of commitment. On top of that, the overall vibe in the salon felt very off, gossipy and standoffish. Even the way the owner spoke to my entry level nail tech at times came across as uncomfortable and unprofessional, which didn't make for a great environment as a customer. With how often this place seems to go through employees, I would think they'd value customer satisfaction and retention over $50 - but that didn't seem to be the case. Gracie was very sweet and did a good job, but I won't be supporting this business in the future. - Update - the owner finally found the gift card 12 hours after my appointment without any gesture to refund what I was forced to pay in-store. Although I appreciate the now useless gift card, I would rather spend my time and money elsewhere. I suggest others do the same! read more

Found the cutest nail salon! Luxury, clean, amazing staff right in East Liberty! They offer so many nail options are incredible with acrylic designs and what drew me in- the specialty pedicures!!! June they had a lemon drop martini pedicure- yep you get a martini while you relax and get pampered! The theme is carried throughout- the cocktail, the scrubs, the candle, the lotion! They are doing a different "them" each month- so be sure to keep an eye out and give one a try! read more

Love this place!! All the workers were so kind. The place is so clean and very cute!! They have so many color options and can do whatever ask for (saw this first hand from the other girls getting their nails done while I was there). I got a basic gel manicure but it came out amazing. Even polish coats and she made sure to clean up the edges are seal in the top of my nail so I know it will last for long. Already going on a week and no issues. Would highly recommend to everyone. read more

Absolutely gorgeous nails for the holiday. I got gel x and nail art. My first time getting moderately complex nail art and I'm so satisfied! They are beautiful! Nice shop, very clean and well decorated. All of the techs were fun and nice and Kim's nail art was top notch. The best LUXURY nail salon in Pittsburgh!! Kim & her staff at KBS Nail Bar are extremely talented and personable. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. This is the nail salon I've been waiting for. The salon is beautiful with lots of natural lighting. Besides being surgical grade clean all Covid precautions & sanitization are being practiced throughout the entire salon. I felt safe within those measures. Let's talk about talent.....endless! Whatever you ask for gets done with meticulous perfection. Even what you ask for in a free style format (Artist discretion). Everything from basic mani/pedi to total glam is achieved. It is my hope that you will give KBS Nail Bar a try. They are definitely my new go to nail salon. This nail salon is amazing! My Grandaughter went there today to get gel nails and it was amazing! Our mail artist, (Natalie) was so kind and awesome! She was so sweet and was talking to my Grandaughter the whole time! The nails turned out exactly like she wanted! And to make it even more amazing, the nails were on $55! They gave her a whole manicure plus a hand massage at the end! Definitely recommend! The vibe was also so amazing! Great job Natalie! read more

The vibe is OFF. Firstly, they charge out the "you-know-what" and yet the owner can't even cover your entire nail with polish. I pointed that out and got a "well it's because of the filing." If YOU are a nail tech and can't file a NAIL on the side and you file the POLISH, then you need to retire. The owner, Kim, has a nasty attitude and a stuck-up vibe. I'd rather get a child to do my nails next time...if I could give 0 stars, I would. read more

worst experience of my life. My nails hurt, are all different shapes, i have dip in all of my fingers and the design is not what i wanted. After Nicolle finished the worst nail job i have ever seen, they charged me for the polish change that i had notified that i wasnt going to do, i informed this when i got there but no one said anything to me until i was charged $90 with the credit card on file after i refused to pay for the worst nail job in the history of nails. I will be posting this review how many times necessary if deleted and in all platforms. I am utterly disgusted. read more

I made an appointment with this place and was informed of their cancellation policy that if you don't cancel within 24 hours, they charge you for the full service. I agreed to that. The day of the appointment, I was running late and called the shop to ask if I could still come. My appointment was a 4:30pm appt. and I assured the receptionist I could be there within the half hour. The receptionist told me they couldn't accommodate that and I'd be forced to cancel. They cancelled my appointment and charged my card on file for the complete $70 Luxe pedicure at 4:40pm. I asked if I could just pay a fee instead of the full price being that I wasn't just being negligent and doing a no call no show and was told no. I emailed the establishment and havent received a reply. So, dont be late or you will still be charged as if you received a service. read more

Very conscientious about hygiene - specific procedures for check in, temperature taking, masking, hand washing. Plus plexiglass barrier between seat and nail tech. Just fabulous! My mother in law and I stopped by for pedicures and were treated to the most luxurious experience. The shop was very clean with great covid procedures put in place. I recently had my nails done by another nail tech. They were too thin which resulted in them breaking twice within a week. Kim resolved the issue by redoing my entire set, free of charge! I rarely have issues with my nails but when issues have come up, they have been handled promptly either while at the salon, or by scheduling an actual appointment. Kim has been doing my nails for the past two years and she is nothing short of amazing. Her customer service is excellent and I am always satisfied with the work she does on my nails.
