Back in 2014 my wife and I began exploring homes in the greater Stowe area and reflecting back, it was a stroke of good fortune that we called Pete Kelly. Whether it was life events such our first child, irregular home inspection findings or unpredictable sellers; Pete and his father Joe never showed fatigue and never tried to rush us into anything. At times I had to scratch my head and wonder how such dedication could be profitable but Pete and Joe work on the "client first" principle placing profits second to people. Both Pete and Joe bring a rare combination of realty experience, business sense and good values to the table. In fact, as late as summer of 2016 they openly advised us to pass on a home we were enthusiastic about and raised some important considerations we were not seeing. Remember, this is over a year-and-a-half of showings, inspections, travel and leg-work after seeing dozens of homes. A lesser realtor would have been inclined to just get us into a home and move on. Right up to the end, Pete and Joe did not waver in their commitment to helping us buy a home that best met our specific criteria within our budget. Eventually we did find the right home and we instantly knew it was worth the effort and can see now that Pete and Joe helped us avoid some major pitfalls. After the last day, Stowe Realty fabricated claims about the time I vacated the property and damage in the unit, some of which would have literally been physically impossible to have occurred. They withheld my security deposit and did not provide a single piece of evidence for their ridiculous claims...not even repair estimates from service providers for the supposed damage. Adding insult to injury, I actually left the condo in cleaner shape than how I received it. I'm writing this review to reveal the scam Stowe Realty runs, which I'm sure has happened to others as well.

We have been nothing but completely satisfied with their services! They can be counted on to come on a regular basis to the house for checkups and trash removal, The snow is always plowed and the walkway always shoveled, the lawn is always mowed, they respond quickly to any emergencies that come up, and have even gone back and mailed my daughter's retainers home. They have also met contractors to have regular maintenance items completed. All in all Yankee home solutions has made second home ownership a breeze for us!

I found out the hard way that this company is dishonest and mismanaged…read more I bought a home in the area and Yankee Home Solutions was contracted by the seller to reveal the septic tank and remove some leftover items from the home prior to closing, but leave the items the seller had clearly marked as "to remain for the buyer." The septic work appears to be in good standing except that the cable line was cut and then reburried below grade without a word of warning. My biggest problem is that they removed a surf board and a custom framed photograph that hung above the mantle of the fire place from the residence without permission. When they were contacted about the missing property they dragged their feet in replying. I finally had to personally confront the owner, AJ Shinner. He said: "Oh, an employee probably took them by accident and we've had some lawn sales since then and, well, I can t find it..." Beware, this company is not accountable for its actions and is not willing to accept responsibility for the errors and/or misbehavior of its employees.

She also has such a vast network of contractors, professional cleaners-anyone you would want too or need to hire for various jobs. They hold her in such high respect, that they answer quickly and perform a job well done within days. If they cannot do the job in the timeframe needed. they help find you someone who can.
