They fixed it in a timely manner and everything seemed to be as expected until we found that him and his crew had built the wall crushing one of her electricity lines causing her to lose power to 75% of the house. My mom is 86, and every time she had him help her, he would give her a price and by the time he was done, he had charged her triple than what he quoted her. We had used Melvin for a couple other jobs, fixing my mom's car and working on the water line in the basement. When he worked on the water line, he quoted her $1200. She told him she is on a fixed income and she could not spend more than $900. Melvin said ok and continued the work. When he was finished he came up and handed my mom a bill for $1700. My mom told him she didn't have that and he told her to take out a heloc loan On her home. He then texted her every week moving forward with an arrow and the total amount of $1700 circled. He was harassing her. When we found out about the electricity, We called Melvin because he promised us, he guarantees all of his work for life. We had told him that we had 3 other companies come out to test for the electricity and we had been shown 3 times it was crushed under the wall and the only lights that worked in my moms house were in the bedroom. It cost $5000 to fix it and Melvin told us he did not want to do the work, hire one of the companies and he would split it with my mom. My mom is 86 years old. This was in February. After calling Melvin every week for 3 months, he finally called my mom in May and paid her $1115. Still to this day, he has not paid her the other $1115 that he owes her. My mom is the sweetest lady and she has really struggled financially trying to stay in her home until she dies, and this man took such advantage of her, after he sat and prayed with her telling her she was family. This is a scam particularly on older people who don't have any idea what truly needs to be fixed. I would not trust him or recommend this company to anyone.

They never seemed rushed. We hired them to remove our 50 year old board and batten siding, soffits and facia board. They installed new wall insulation, plywood, house wrap and James Hardie lap siding, soffits and facia board. They had excellent communication during the bidding process were patient with me throughout all of my questions about the expectations for the product and work as well as during the installation process. When contacted the team, I received a response in less than 24 hours and sometimes I received the response in person. They even fixed a problem with the roof that had never been resolved by a roofing company to ensure I didn't continue to have issues with water run off ruining my soffits. Every day they left the job site cleaner than it was when they started the job. My family and I always felt comfortable with everyone that was on site and they ensured there was as little disruption to our daily lives as possible. When there were delays in getting the windows, that I ordered separately, they were understanding and prompt in getting back out to my house to get the last piece of the job completed. JRK Flooring company arrived in the morning on time as promised…read more Prior to the having the hardwoods refinished, we moved all furniture out of the rooms that we were to have redone, as was communicated to us during the estimation process. By moving out all furniture the crew was able to begin right on time. The crew sanded an area on the wood floor to test stains for us to select from. Then the process of sanding began and was amazed at how much time and detail is takes to properly sand the wood. I was assured that there would be some dust filter out, in which it did, but it was minimal to what it would be like without collecting the sanding in a large bag. The crew cleaned up and dusted all the area, applied the stain then closed the door to let the floors dry. The process took 3 days from start to finish. The crew was friendly and never was bothered by any questions or pictures I wanted to take. Our 56 year old hardwoods are originals and had the old orange sheen from shellac. This was the first time the floors had been refinished. Once the old shellac was sanded off (the floors were gorgeous, even without the stain); the hardwoods were cleaned up and ready for stain. The process of refinishing is quite an education and we are extremely pleased with how the end product came out. Worst job ever. I went through Heaven's Glory because a "friend" worked there and had been working…read morethere for a while. So I thought they would know what they're doing. I was wrong. I paid around $6,500 to have my house repainted (including scraping, sanding, caulking, and repairs to water damaged trim). First of all, the crew smoked so much weed while working that the neighbors complained. They barely scraped any cracked or peeling paint. Sanded nothing. So now a year and a half later, I have multiple code violations for cracked and peeling paint from the city. No care was taken to mask off areas that weren't supposed to be painted. They sprayed my gutters, garage door, gas meter, mail box. They missed areas all together. Spilled and run off paint. They painted over stained woodwork and bricks. Trim was only painted on one side. I thought they were going to finish the back and sides the same. So after they got paid they never came back. I didn't really want to tell a friend that this was the worst job I had ever seen. So I ask him multiple times to come out and finish the sides and back. "Antonio" keeps telling me he is busy and will come out when he can. This goes on for a while. I get a new ticket for cracked a peeling paint from the city so I message him again. This time more aggressive. He acts like he doesn't know what I'm talking about. First they don't do trim. Then they did do the trim and it's white. Then later that they only do the front and the sides cost more. So "Antonio" does stop by the house and we talk face to face. I walk him around the house and show him everything. He gives me his word that he will come on Sunday and "make it right". The night before he messages me that I will have to pay more for labor and that the back and sides weren't included. Basically pay more or I'm screwed. Any way I didn't want to bad mouth anybody but a couple of crank heads could have done this quality of work. And for a lot less money. My main contact was Antonio (which isn't even his real name) but Mario and another guy were there and did the same trash work. And scare me for trying to support a friends business.
