I honestly don't know where to start. Do I start with the IMPROVISING ON THE ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS…read morePLANS, poor project management, lack of communication/flat out ignoring us, the lies, under quoting on the entire bid/not adding vital pieces of the project to the bid, no work being done for weeks, the excuses, lack of accountability. If I talked about everything this review would go on forever so I'll just hit the high points. And also if you respond to this. WHEN ARE YOU GRADING MY YARD AND WHERE IS MY DOOR HANDLE!?! WHEN ARE YOU FIXING OUR PAVERS AND REPLACING OUR LIGHTS!? And all the other stuff you've been paid for. You've still been unresponsive after screwing us over after getting over 150k from us. If you don't read any further as a potential customer. JUST DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF!! If you want to see more horror stories about him which we didn't initially see go to home advisor. I included the link as well. https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.CrossConstruction.52331421.html 1. Our plans had an unfinished basement 8' tall ceilings with plumbing so it would be finish-able later. We decided to finish the basement after they put the footing in. Daniel said it was not a big deal but it would cut into our ceiling height because they had to tie the pluming in because we didn't have plans for plumbing in our original plan (BLAMING US!!). We led him to the drawings which displayed unfinished/plumbing. My fiancé said several times she felt like they didn't dig deep enough. But us not being in the profession we thought maybe they would build up with the framing so the basement would be 8'. Ultimately we ended up with a basement that was 6' 10". We didn't know until our framing of the house was all the way up. Daniel told us this was due to us requesting plumbing be installed later. This was ALWAYS in the plan. Fact of the matter is, he didn't dig deep enough and I'm stuck with a basement that's 6' 10" and I PAID FOR 8'. The kicker is after he lied about the basement height he tried to CHARGE US for a step up from our kitchen to get what we already paid for saying, "It will look nice." And you did try to charge us so don't try to say you didn't, Daniel. I will be seeking compensation. He offered to take money off of other portions of the project to make up for it but I do not trust him to do anything else in my home. He lies constantly!! 2. Daniel decided to put in a wooden LVL beam because he had "Extra material" from another project instead of the steel beam required in the project which was recommended by the structural engineer. Daniel said he didn't think it was a "big deal" and tried to convince us it is the same. According to the structural engineer, it was a big deal and due to the weight it was bearing the steel beam was required. But the kicker is guess when we found out he did this? WHEN WE FAILED THE CITY INSPECTION. Both inspectors were appalled he did that. So then we are waiting for Daniel to be available to work on our project which is now on the back burner for him because he's not getting anymore checks from us. This man took a month to get this installed which completely stalled our project. It only took two days to get this in. And the beam was available one day after he actually ordered it. 3. He failed to include major parts of our project in his bid. Like HVAC and our kitchen. That's a major cost. But his bid looked nice and I'm sure that's what he was trying to do. 4. During dirt removal he destroyed several items instead of having us move them or he move them. I guess they thought they were in a demolition derby when he smashed by BBQ grill and bike which I thought would be safe in the back of the yard. He also charges for labor for them to clean up after themselves. I had to pay other people to have their trash AND project materials removed.

I recieved four estimates for my sinking foundation, several from the popular companies that…read moreadvertise regularly. King Piers was not only competitive but very realistic about how to solve my problems. The owner came out and provided a quick and easy estimate. I am very glad I went with King Piers. I have a home in south Johnson County. They were able to pier my foundation, fill in the cracks with epoxy, fix cracks in my brick exterior and drywall interior as well as fixing a leaky window well in the basement. Enrique was awesome to work with and has my total trust. Very hard working crew. Thank you for fixing my home, that is a lot of stress relieved.

King Piers was able to get us on their schedule within a week. King Piers was more expensive and I didn't feel as comfortable with the man who did the estimate, however, the guy who physically did the work was kind and knowledgeable. My husband spoke with him multiple times throughout the process and said he seemed really experienced and confident but he wasn't arrogant. There was a miscommunication on our end, I misunderstood the scope of work. I was out of town and having to FaceTime in to see what was happening. As soon as my husband even dared to question the process the owners son got really annoyed, rude and, somewhat aggressive. As soon as he deemed us a potential problem he didn't listen to what we were saying and just kept repeating himself "Did you read the estimate? Do you want me to call my dad?" So...take that for what you will. They started very loud work very early, we had multiple complaints from neighbors frustrated that the concrete was being dug/drilled so early. The posts are seemingly solid, our floor is level, and the addition to the back of our home that was sliding is seemingly secure. Though they were more expensive than the other estimate, I didn't feel that the price was outrageous. Did they technically get the job done? Yep. Would I recommend them? Maybe?

They literally saved my house from being condemned. They put in emergency sump pumps to remove the enormous amount of water in the basement. After it was stable David, David Teany owner operator, brought in an engineer to make sure we were in good shape. Only THEN, they were able to start work on the foundation. I strongly recommend KC Elite for your foundation repairs. Honest hard working guys. Thank you David and Tony.
