Original onsite inspection and explanation of what to expect was clear and there was no pressure to commit that day or would cost a lot more. moved into a new house had these guys out to it to polyfill driveway and a concrete slab under a deck in back. IMO the best in the business. Excellent work At old house Guys were great, Our Sunroom moved up and down depending on the season and we were having troubles both with cracks on the walls, opening and closing windows and troubles with getting the door shut. i saw the crack virtually disappear and the door and windows open and close easily. I did have to add 2 wooden posts as once the bottoms were dung up were pretty rotten. Guys did a great job cleaning up afterwards laying some seed down and hay over it. read more

Company temporarily closed and reopened under new ownership in 2022. I had an egress window and a sump pump installed right before the closure and had an issue (right after reopening) where my backup battery was faulty. Josh came out on a Friday after business hours to take a look, identified the issue quickly with his foreman, and replaced the battery (which was not covered under a formal warranty). He also helped me identify why the first battery went faulty and talked through the basics of troubleshooting potential future issues. We highly recommend Foundation 1 for your foundation repair. As background: We had foundation settlement in three areas of our house. One was the garage, which also had issues with the concrete pad supporting the steel support pole for second floor bedrooms. We selected Foundation 1 and two other companies to look at our problems, offer their solutions, and bid. All three companies had good reviews and are established companies in the community. All three bids were comparable in measurements of the settling that had occurred and with the final price of the work to be completed. The three companies had somewhat similar solutions, but differed on pier types, pier locations, number of piers needed, and on the way some things would be stabilized (especially the support pole in the garage). It was very difficult for us to pick the best fit since all these processes were new to us. Therefore, we decided to hire an independent structural PE (Professional Engineer) to review the bids and solutions. In general, the PE agreed with most methods, materials, and locations of piers of the three companies, but did have some recommendations for each company's proposal. Also the PE had a couple of "You can't do this properly with this type of pier or with a location; you don't need this number of piers, etc.". After reviewing the PE's report with all three companies, we felt Foundation 1 addressed the PE's recommendations the best and welcomed the input from the PE. Now that the work is complete and we have seen Foundation 1 in action, we are extremely comfortable we made the right choice of the company to fix our foundation. The work took a little under eight full days to complete. Each day the crew head and his crew showed up on time, worked continuously all morning until lunch, and worked continuously from end of lunch until the end the day. Each member of the crew knew exactly what his/her job was and how to do it. The crew head, Pilar, worked alongside his crew while checking in with each during the day to make sure all was going as planned. He would always answer my questions and let me know when the crew was ready to leave so I could shut the garage doors and lock our gates. Every member of the crew worked so hard, were very polite to us, and were so neat in the areas where work was being done, whether it was concrete being jack hammered or dirt being piled up from the huge holes they were digging. The work really didn't disrupt us at all. Every night when the crew left, tools were put into our garage and the outside and inside areas of our house were left as clean and neat as possible. We felt so comfortable with the crew and left the house in their hands at times to get lunch or to run some errands. We had 17 piers total installed under the footings, both exterior and interior of the house. We also had Poly fill injected through concrete in the areas where piers were installed to fill voids under the concrete slabs which had shifted downward. All holes dug up, all concrete removed, and all holes in concrete for the Poly injections were filled and left almost the way they were before work was started. I recently had Foundation 1 out to pier my foundation and added two sump pumps in the basement. Dave and Carlos were great to work with. They were quick, affordable, professional, and friendly. Foundation 1 not only fixed what needed to be fixed, but also addressed some issues that saved me a lot of time and money, (they used the excess dirt from the project to properly grade some trouble areas around my foundation). DO NOT USE!! Had my front stoop mudjacked in August. Here it is October and it looks worse than before. Contacted the company and after a phone conversation with an office employee who asked "what warranty" I was referring to when I asked about getting the stoop repaired under the terms of my warranty, I received an email later in the day indicating "previous owner had filed bankruptcy and they were not honoring any mudjacking warranties". Can a company file for bankruptcy, be bought out, and start back up in 2 months, and refuse to honor warranties? Hire this company and find out I guess. I for one will never use them again. I called to get an appointment for a foundation. The appointment was made in a decent amount of time. The day of James called and said he would be early if I could meet him. He was there when I got there. We talked for a few minutes, I emailed him my plans and he said that's all he needed. Never heard a word back from him or the company. They are scammers. They may do decent work however they charge you for extra services that they contractually promise and refuse to carry out those services. We had a crack in our basement wall that was letting water in. They were awsome at getting someone out to fix it fast considering that everyone was having water issues in their basements due to all of the rain. They sent Foreman Ben Igou out to fix the wall. He did a fantastic job. He even took the extra time to try and save my wife's plants. He was extremely profession and easy to work with. I hope that I never have foundation issues again but if I do I will be calling Foundation 1 especially if the rest of their employees are like Ben. read more

We used Foundation 1 in April 2019. We paid almost $14,000. Now it is September 2022, and a crack has appeared in the same place in our foundation that they repaired. I called 2 days ago and left a message explaining that we are selling our house and need to speak to someone and need a copy of our warranty for the realtor (our copy was packed by mistake). I heard nothing. I called at 8am yesterday, sent a text and an email. Heard nothing. I left a message at noon again at the office and on the evaluators cell phone, at 3pm I left another message. Each message was left with our information and what we needed. In 48 hours no one has bothered to return our phone calls, text or email.I feel that a professional business would return at least one call, text or email within 24 hours. When I needed work done and was a new customer this was true. If you cannot count on a call back, the warranty is worthless. read more

We were very impressed with our experience with Foundation 1. We received quick responses to my multiple calls with questions. Cassell was great to work with, and the two associates who did the job were fantastic! We had to raise the driveway, sidewalk, front porch and fill in where erosion had caused a large void. In addition, they solved the problem that was causing this, to prevent any future damage. They extended the downspouts underground out away from the house in four areas. It looks very nice. I was worried about losing landscaping I had recently planted and they took into consideration the aesthetics of how the area would look after the job was done. I was very happy with how they cared for the plants and ensured the landscaping looked better when they left. I highly recommend the Foundation 1 team! read more

I can't even give this company a star. I called for an appointment for my sloping floors. They were so "busy" that they gave me an appointment for a month and half in the future. I called two days before the appointment to confirm. The evening before the appointment I was called by Foundation One to get more specifics about my issue and was told at that time that they would not work on my house because it has a stone foundation! I don't understand why the person who made the appointment couldn't ask those simple questions at the outset. Instead this company waited until the last minute to cancel on me. I was told the operators who take the appointments are too busy to ask questions. Stay away from this company! Extremely unprofessional! Did business with Foundation 1 from 11/4/19-11/12/19. Approx. cost 17k. Team on site damaged waterline, & further damaged while repairing; leaving family w/o water for 24 hours. Repairs were eventually made. When job was "completed", there were several other areas damaged, and the house not left in original condition. Foreman came back and fixed the damage to the best of his ability. All said and done, the quality of the work seems pretty good, and we are hopeful that the basement is waterproofed. When asking for relief for the issues we encountered, the bookkeeper "Tom Teter" was the respondent to the emails. He was quick to point out that the contract allows for damage to occur outside of the scope of their work, and they were obligated to nothing. He was condescending, and rude from his initial response through resolution. Foundation 1 agreed to a $298 price reduction for the issues encountered. Would not recommend.. read more
