Their website says they pay top dollar I don't know who's top dollar they're paying. By half I made $72 everybody else I talk to you should've been between 120 and 127.

Today I wanted an adventure so I loaded up the trash sack of aluminum cans and some old copper wire we had in the garage and headed over the City Scrap Metal. Yes it is very industrial, so I don't suggest wearing your finest clothes or high healed sneakers. There was a line when I was there, ahead of me the usual pick up trucks of the guys you see driving around town scrapping. When finally got to the door, I was met by a polite young man named Christopher. I explained I was a newbie and he said he would help me. That he did. I took my two items, the wire and soda cans into the warehouse and Chris filled out some paperwork, calculating how much each item weighed (they do this by type and they take all sorts of metals). He then gave me the yellow paper and directed me to the office, where I was paid cash on site for my scrap. Painless way to recycle and get some spare cash for the trouble. I found this process to be well organized and efficient. I will be back to sell my cans.

This week our house was skipped, so I called mid-day and the person who answered the phone said she'd contact the driver. Who knows if she really did, but she said they were trying a new system and they'd be here later. They never picked up our yard waste. I called this morning and a very rude woman said we had not paid them, but if we did, they'd pick up our yard waste next Friday. There are several things that are wrong with this. We have been customers for 13 years at the same address, but that didn't seem to matter to her. Secondly, my husband has advanced stage COPD and congestive heart failure and is in the hospital often, so he must've missed the bill. No matter to them that because my husband is on 5 liters of oxygen 24/7 our grandsons came to put the yard waste out and we can't very well leave it curbside for a week, nor can we store it for a week. So, now my husband and I had a neighbor help us load the 6 bags of yard waste into our truck and my husband has driven it out to Belton where he'll drag his oxygen bottle and the hose to his nose to unload and empty the bags THEY should've picked up. UNBELIEVABLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! We paid them for this year, but will be looking for a different service.
