At 4:00 PM, I realized I was dealing with scammers. I called Quick Move at around 4:30 PM and explained my situation. Eli asked me when I would like to move. I told him as soon as possible and he said do you want us to come over tonight? I told him tomorrow morning would be fine. Quick move showed up at my house at 9 AM with three trucks and four guys to load my stuff up. They had everything out of my house and back in my new house within six hours. I would highly recommend these guys. They were very neat, polite, and did an excellent job. They got me out of a bad situation.

The most efficient way in our vast experience, is not to load the truck until all items are checked off and sitting on the driveway, which was the way Mayflower did things decades ago. Apparently this crew was trained to take items straight into the truck and fit them in as best they could, so they had to partially unload and reload the truck because their packing space was quite limited compared to what their boss allotted for. Poor communication and planning, inefficiency all caused by the owner PLUS lack of coordination topped off by shouting rudeness and maltreatment in the end by the owner... it all adds up to a "never-again" pledge for this senior citizen. I paid 30% higher than I expected from the original quote and they left me frazzled.

Call into management because this move was easy and minimum items for a two bedroom apartment with no additional things other than furniture and it is taking 3+ hours to load with me & my husband making trips to Lowe's to buy supplies because they were out, carrying things down and he stairs and into our vehicles to just get done quicker along with packing it for them so they just have to carry it. God forbid we carry items that can be carried with our hands!!! Everything has to be used with a dolly. To then I specifically asked management to not say anything to them since we were waiting for them to off load our items and he did resulting in the two staff remembers confronting me & my husband. When really a business owner myself I would want to know if my staff was 1) not working efficiently especially because this is a pay by the hour situation, 2) goofing off, being careless and disappearing and 3) tarnishing my reputation! They will take your stuff apart such as twin bed and king bed but not know how to assemble it back together. Didn't even have the correct tools we had to help again... To then for that amount of money this is how they leave your stuff.... BEWARE They charge for supplies not used and add hidden costs! But seeing how management handled the situation along with them allowing their staff to perform in this manner with no care to then confront us, it explains it all!!! They put my belongings in a neat little pile that did not obstruct my walking path, as well as identified and reported some urgent maintenance issues, which meant one less thing for me to stress about as I tried to settle in. We got the PODS completely unpacked and got all the big, heavy, bulky stuff moved into the house in the appropriate rooms. The majority of our boxes we had them unload into our garage. It was all done within their 2-hour minimum, so we didn't have to pay anything beyond our deposit. I'd recommend them and use them again.
