Great place to beat the Kansas City heat! KCW has a family-friendly atmosphere and the operators and instructors are experts at making sure that everyone learns to wakeboard/kneeboard. They were all so encouraging and they were genuinely excited when they helped a newbie like me get up for the first time. There's a smaller "beginner" cable called the 2.0 which is a great place to start before you graduate to the full-size cable. I had only ridden behind a boat once before trying the cable park, and they had me riding within an hour and doing laps within three hours. There are also areas for SUP (stand up paddleboarding), a sand volleyball court and sunbathing if you aren't quite ready to hit the cable. There is a pretty decent little snack shop, and its cool sometimes to just sit on the deck or the beach and watch the regular riders hitting the ramps and rails. Great place for people of all ages and a very affordable way to learn to wakeboard without the expense of a boat. All you have to bring is a swimsuit and yourself! read more

Great way to beat the summer heat and get in a "workout" all at the same time. These guys are great when it comes to getting your feet wet in the sport of wake boarding, they have two cable systems for newbies and advanced riders. All the staff is helpful and will help you up your game. They even have SUP (stand up paddle boards) if wake boarding is a little too much of an adrenaline rush for you. My son (8 yrs old) and I went out last Saturday to try wakeboarding. This was our first time and I was super impressed with the instruction and patience! It is quite a deal they have going right now for only $15 for a 2 hour learn to ride lesson! They had us both up and confident at the end of the two hours. We will definitely be back and maybe even venture out and try surfing too! What a great place to go and be active with your family. Great place to catch some sun, get some exercise and learn a new sport. The staff is super helpful and friendly. This is one of my regular stops during the summer months whether I'm hitting the water solo or with a group of friends. Went here never having been to a cable park and fell in love with the place. Great place to be on a summer day. The staff couldn't be more encouraging and there is a real community feel at KCW. Really cool place, everyone working is always happy to be there. When you walk in you are always greeted, asked if you need any help with a setup or in the board shop. When you get out on the water, whoever is working always offers advice with anything you can ask. Great for any level rider. Wow! Wonderful experience!!! Took my 4 young adults and started with the morning lessons. Staff is excellent. They are friendly and knowledgeable.
