I was a little apprehensive about using KCB because their quote was quite a bit lower than the other ones I got and the price seemed almost too good to be true. After seeing all the positive reviews, we decided to still go with them and I'm glad we did! Quality workmanship, professional and courteous crew, work completed in the estimated time, took extra care to minimize dust, cleaned up after themselves daily. We had tuckpointing done on both our bricks and the larger masonry stones around the foundation, with 2 sides of the house needing solid tuckpointing and the other 2 needing spot tuckpointing. We also had KCB do new waterproofing/sealant around the expansion joints, had the wall to the walkout basement stairwell demolished and restacked, and had the deteriorating concrete slab under the sunroom replaced. The crew did a great job on all of it and KCB was even able to set up the supports to the sunroom while they worked so that I didn't have to hire a second company to do that portion. Very happy with all the work done and the price was outstanding. Will be using KCB again for any future tuckpointing needs. read more

I contacted them to do a repair of the crown portion of my chimney. They came right out and worked up the numbers for a quote. We discussed the price and came to an agreement. The only issue was the specific type of brick that was going to be used. They never got back to me. I left multiple voice messages and never heard back. I ended up moving on to a contractor that was interested in doing the work. read more

We have been beyond impressed with KCB! They came out quickly and provided us with a fair and competitive bid on the tuck pointing on our house. We needed our chimneys done, the entire exterior of our house and the inside of the basement where we have exposed brick. We had them do the job in sections. Full disclosure: we have not gotten any work completed by this company, and we probably won't. We have a property under contract and we needed a quick bid for some negotiations. I had called a few other places that were either a week out, or were casually going to come within the next couple days when they had a chance. This business told me I would get a full work up and quote same day, but since we didn't own the property and it was just under contract, we had to pay $25 for them to come out. I don't usually pay for bids, but like I said, we needed a quick quote (this was Monday afternoon and we needed negotiations in by Wednesday morning), so I figured paying the $25 would assure the timing. They met my fiancé out at the property on Tuesday at the time they said, so that was professional, but the quote never came through same day as told. I followed up Wednesday morning, and wanted to confirm the email since I was confused why we didn't get the quote yet. Nicole told me that she would call to confirm my email when she got back to her desk, but I never got a call back. Considering we paid for the quote, I didn't feel like I needed to babysit to get the quote. At this point, we had a couple free bids came through, so I gave up on them. My fiancé finally followed up this morning, and they finally pushed it through today. It was on a standard word document, which doesn't bother me BUT - the free quotes which were more timely, better prepared, and more thorough came through way more quickly than this place. I get that I'm not the owner of the property, so I probably wasn't a priority, EXCEPT that they made me pay. I feel like we were used for free money. This further instills my personal rules that you NEVER pay for a bid. Ever. read more

KCB came out to touch up the outside of our house. We had our porch removed and it took part of the exterior with it. They came in, marched the brick, mortar, and stone work, and did such a good job I honestly couldn't tell there had ever been a hole in the wall. KCB Masonry is a reliable team that does expert work. They are honest about what they can do up front, setting expectations from the start. They do what they commit to do. We had an entire house tuck pointing, about 2,800 square feet of brick. Mortar was from 1931, and KCB replaced it all. They ground everything out and expertly replaced the mortar. The team cleaned up the site and our neighbors' where any dust may have gone, at the end of every work day. We received multiple bids, all over the price spectrum.
