Galati and Sons tuckpointed my chimney. The proposal was not the cheapest but was fair. The only drawback is that I accepted the proposal in August but work wasn't done until December. They, like most home improvement businesses, are VERY busy. Despite the delay, they did great work. They even sent me a thank you card AND giftcard to Starbucks. After years of searching for good tuck pointers, we finally found THE BEST! We highly recommend Galati and Sons. The crew is very skilled in their craft. They are professional, communicate well and show up when expected. They did their job quickly and neatly and made sure we were happy with the job before they moved on. We had quite a bit of work done including regular tuck pointing, a window bricked in and a wall repaired. My husband and I own a 97 year old home in the city and our east wall was probably that old. It looked like it hadn't been tuckpointed in decades! Because of this, we were starting to get some really nasty moisture behind our walls on the interior of the home. Galati and Sons came out promptly after we called them for an estimate and let us know what the "damage" would be. It was a bit pricey, but we knew we would get what we pay for and wanted our moisture to go away for good. We sent in a check for half of the amount of the full job as a down-payment for which they didn't process until after they started working. They started work a few weeks later, as promised, and finished the job in 2 short days. The job consisted of tuckpointing our north and east walls, as well as re-laying a good portion of brick on the east side. It looks like a brand new house from that side and will surely be easier to sell once we put it on the market. I think while they were doing all the work to the sides of our house, they even helped seal a few spots in our flat roof as well. The employees at Galati and Sons were always available by phone, regardless of the time, and if I ever had to leave a message, I got a call back within 2 days. It's been a few months since the work was done and we haven't seen any moisture since. Top notch work! It can be difficult to find good quality, honest, and reasonably priced contractor and I'm pleased we found one that works for us! read more
