I've been with RB's ever since I registered my car in Kentucky. I usually deal with Cecilia, and…read moreshe's been nothing short of wonderful. She always remembers who I am when I call with a question or problem. I had a wreck back in May and had some medical bills and wound up getting my car totalled out. It seemed like I called every couple of days for a few weeks with a question or concern, or needing them to run interference for me with State Farm's claims office in TN, and they were always there to talk. I've never felt like a number or a dollar sign when I've called or stopped by. I liked the service I got from them so much, my girlfriend switched her car insurance from KY Farm Bureau to State Farm, and actually got a better rate too. I've steered a couple of people to them as well, and they've all been happy with the service they get. I'm only taking away a star because I'll get autodialer calls from them every now and then for some sort of promotion or new financial product they're running. But, if a real person's calling, they call the office, I just let all of their calls on my cell phone go to voicemail. It's not a really big deal, and I realize it's a marketing tool for them, but it's slightly annoying.

Here's a follow up to my Thumbs Up review for RB Brown and his team at State Farm: Our car was…read moretotally destroyed in a freak accident in a parking lot last year. The offender's insurance agency declined to settle, citing an obscure technical legal point. State Farm came through for us straightaway. We paid our $500 deductible, got a fair settlement and moved on. State Farm, unfortunately, was out the money that should have been paid by the other party. Fast forward a few months later: I get a check refunding my $500 deductible! WOOHOO! It turns out State Farm's team was busy behind the scenes doing their legal thing and forced the other party to pay up! Which is only fair, considering the circumstances. The bottom line is, if you want the personal touch, get your insurance from a person with a team of real people who care. I don't know that I would have gotten this kind of consideration from a website or an app. Great job, RB Brown and State Farm!

The absolute WORST customer service. I had an AVIS car renter hit my vehicle and attempted to…read morenavigate the claim process to get reimbursed for the damage repair through their insurance coverage, managed by Sedgwick. I'm not joking when I say that I tried calling over 15 times over several weeks to my assigned claims manager, her superior, and their coworker to get an update on the claim status without a single response back. Each time you call, there will not be an answer, and the voice message of any person you reach will promise a call back within 24 hours. You will NEVER get a call back. I'd like to specifically mention Mia Tilson and Jade Neal. I never once got any return correspondence from Jade (email or phone) and only got one a very short, defensive correspondence with Mia on the phone, who promised a follow up from Jade. Save yourself a ton of time and hassle and go through your insurance. I ended up giving the Sedgwick claim number to my insurance. While it took a few months, my insurance ended up issuing them a demand, and I was able to get reimbursed. Zero stars.

This is the 3rd time I was told that the file was under review and that I would have an answer very soon. This is so frustrating since my condos interior dwelling, contents, and appliances are still damaged. The busy season is right around the corner so I will need to block out around 2-3 weeks to do the repairs so I will lose even more rental income. The property is a beach front condo at NC beach which does a lot of business during all seasons besides winter. I have explained this to Sedgwick many times but they are deliberately delaying this claim. I have given them everything they asked for within 30 days of the claim being filed from the signed contract, photos, excel spreadsheet for all the damages and the cost. I even gave them photos of what the property looked like before the renovations when I first purchased, production photos of the renovation, after the condo was completed and then all of the damages the insured caused to my brand new renovation from cracked tile, damaged contents, loss of rental income, spray paint everywhere and more. The damage list was updated after finding more damages and is now close to $60,000 in loses. I think they are trying to find every way possible not to help me and not pay a penny. It's a general liability claim. The contractor was hired to handle installing custom kitchen cabinets that he ended up painting the cabinets inside my condo (see photos) and had no containment, negative air, or covered anything. He also messed up the custom cabinets that he was hired to installed so I had to have them removed for the 2nd time and hire another contractor to install new cabinets. The insured does not have workmanship coverage so I'm out that money as well. The contractor was deported so I can't even take him to small claims court for the cabinets but I hope Sedgwick does what's right and covers the loss of damages to my condo and property. I will update again once they respond with their determination of coverage. I have been holding off with hiring my attorney which will drag the claim out even more on top of the additional expenses which I doubt Sedgwick would pay for but it may need to happen depending on how much longer they take and if they deny coverage.
