This is the "other" sit-down restaurant on Hopi (the first being the cultural center). It's a bit lower-key, almost cafeteria-style but not quite. I had mutton stew with fry bread...despite this being a Hopi restaurant it was no different than the Navajo version, really. Mutton was tender and the broth was very fatty with no vegetables but some thoroughly cooked hominy. Frybread was made fresh to order, it was of the "thick and extra-crispy" variety. Soup wasn't quite hot enough, not sure if they reheated or what. I didn't get a sandwich, but from looking at the menu and seeing other folks' sandwiches it's interesting to compare. Like the cultural center, they have "hot beef." Like Navajo stands, they also have roast mutton sandwiches. Unlike the Navajo, the mutton comes with sauteed vegetables rather than corn and potato. I love this place I work all over Kevan canyons at the different reservations. This is always a great place to go if your hungry and if your venturing on through. I would recommend Keams for the food and wonderful people that work there. read more

Keams Canyon Cafe offers good traditional Native Cuisine. Unfortunately most of their food is fried and there is not much of a healthy menu options. Unfortunately they are also over priced. The fortune side is that we have a cafe out here on Hopi and visitors can come and enjoy Fry bread and other kinds of Native food. read more

1) I didn't like my Native Hot beef plate, meet wasn't taste so good, chewy and taste old. Pros: 1) liked the mash potatoes and the onions on the side; 2) the lady cashier was nice. read more
