You could genuinely tell she cared deeply about her students, their education, and their well-being. My daughter loved her, and we were heartbroken to hear she was let go. Unfortunately, the administration was the complete opposite experience for us. My daughter first attended preschool here, and not once did the principal acknowledge us, communicate with us, or make us feel welcomed. We honestly felt invisible. Kindergarten ended up feeling the same way. The principal was even absent at graduation, which was disappointing for such an important moment for the kids and families. The front office staff was also extremely unhelpful, especially Martha. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience, and getting basic help was frustrating. The school has caring teachers, but the leadership and front office experience made the environment feel cold and unwelcoming. I truly wish the teachers had more support, because they deserve better.

It would be difficult for a principal not to guide this school to great scores. The two stars are because the intermediate (grades 4-6) underachieves in its behavioral expectations. It's ironic that the school administration prides itself on its great scores but doesn't honor the students who achieve them. Rather, it's the top athletes and popular kids who rule the roost and the bookish, kind children who are pushed aside. Even worse, those who bully are not held accountable by the principal. We've seen multiple instances of this. We know families who have left the school, who have stopped using the bus and who have turned to home schooling because their children were bullied at Bradford and the principal didn't manage the situation to avoid recurrence. If you send your child here, he or she will be well educated. However, there's an excellent chance they will be put down or teased by bullies and you won't get anywhere with the principal to stop it. PS. The primary school (grades 1-3) is the opposite and is good academically as well as behaviorally.

Dry Creek Elementary School is one of the best elementary schools in the district. Many parents…read more"choice" in and bring their children from other attendance areas to come here. They do especially well in providing challenging curriculum for gifted and talented students. Dry Creek is based on the "open classroom" model, where up to 3 teachers and classes from each grade share one large classroom (kind of a flashback to the early 70s when we went to school). Thus, the environment is a little non-traditional, but the teachers at each grade level tend to form a very tight team. This provides an excellent learning atmosphere. We are very happy with the school, as are all our friends and neighbors.

It is under staffed, unsafe and during my short time I witnessed a dozen licensing violations. The preschool class room has 12 to 15 children at any given time ages 2 1/2 to 4 years with only one adult. Current ratio is 8:1 for children 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 and 9:1 for 4-5. Because of the mixed ages in the class room some children arent potty trained and need to be changed frequently. However, there is no changing table in the room causing the only adult to leave 11 to 14 other children unattended or forcing a child to go hours without proper changing. With little supervision children are getting hurt constantly. The play ground has lose gravel wich is a breeding ground for more injury. I've witnessed several injuries from minor scratchs to concussions, none of which were reported to parents at the time and no incident reports were filed. In addition punishment for the young children is obscene and over zealous considering the mentality and maturity of the children. Kids are threatened with sitting in the office and when taken they do not return to the classroom for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. I've had parents tell me that the director yelled at a child and threatened they would not get breakfast if they could not behaive. Since when is a 30 minute time out or withholding meals a reasonable punishment? Last week was a tornado warning for the area, while taking my family to a safe place I called the center to ask if they too were on lock down. Being the center is mostly windows I was concerned for their safety. I was told no, and that the children attending before and aftercare were being picked up. An additional call was then made to the pickup school and we were notified the kids were not being released at their useal time due to the weather advisories. However, the person picking up the kids still went into the school and demanded the children be relaesed into his care. You can imagine the horror I along with the parents were faced with. Lucky the tornado didn't touch down, but if it had, who knows what could have happened. I, along with several other parents have addressed these safety concerns with the director, only to be told it is not something she can fix because she is overwhelmed with other duties. To my knowledge the center as of now, has 3 pending violations with the county and after a call to social services and licensing I'm certain the number will be inflated here shortly. Lastly, becuase the center is understaffed they are struggling to find qualified personal to fill the positions. Most of the "teachers" have NO quilifications, formal education or the state required 3000 hours of experience for early childhood education. You can imagine with no training or proper experience, many of these employees are not equipped to manage children properly in this situation. The teachers are commonly yelling at children and threatening them. When these means aren't productive bribery of candy or ice cream (which isn't actually ever given) becomes the new barging chip. My only suggestion is to put serious research when finding a provider for your child. Walk into the center several times unexpectedly and allow yourself a real view of the environment your child is placed in. A provider should be loving, caring, excited to see your child, he/she should come home with stories to tell and singing songs they've learned. If you son/daughter is crying when being dropped off, please let that be an indication that something is not rite.

From his teacher, Ms. Nadia, to the wonderful Ms. Jacci to center director Ms. Malika, the school is the place to have your child attend for preschool. I think it's safe to say that every parents major concern is that your child is safe, cared for, loved and is involved in a program that help them to grow mentally and physically. I recommend this location 100% and with no hesitation. I truly love this location and staff.

Not much homework or know whats going on in school other then charity stuff going on. Oh they have plenty!! School safety is a huge concern here. They don't follow safety procedures because they say they have a few. I've put it to a test and past right tru it like nothing. However My kids have had a few decent caring teachers that Im very grateful for many left already but a few are still there. This will be our last year in Mcglone not only because we have relocated but its not worth driving my kids here anymore.

I like how they still have clubs and social events. She has made some great friends. The staff is very helpful and fun. They will sit with her one-on-one whenever she needs help. Some of them have even video chatted with her on a weekend. She is taking some college classes and is loving that. The high school teachers are even willing to help her with her college classes. The students are very diverse in their cultures, backgrounds, and reasons for going to online school. I am so happy that we decided to send her to this school. Definitely something to check out.

Mrs. Esporono is a terrible stem and science teacher and will yell at your children in front of the whole class and completely humiliate them knowing that part of her job is to create daily plans for children with an IEP. Mr. Heavyland just doesn't care if your children fail, plays favorites with other students he likes and refuses to help kids with IEP plans. BEWARE.
