Most vineyards require reservation or no kids allowed during COVID. We called Saturday morning and we got a reservation on the same day immediately. When we got there, the place is very charming. The backyard is huge. There are so many outdoor tables. The service was very friendly. We felt that we were so lucky to find this place. However, all the wines that we tried are mediocre. Keeler Estate Vineyard is the best vineyard. Sure, their biodynamic wines are great and the vineyard is beautiful and family-owned. But what you'll get here that you will get nowhere else is Paco. Paco is the resident vineyard black tri Australian Shepherd and he is the bestest boy. He takes you on tours around the vineyard and hangs out with you during tastings on the porch. We visited this vineyard as part of a helicopter tour and it was our favorite. Gabby picked us up right where the helicopter dropped us off then drove us thru some of the vines. She poured us a bonus of champagne to enjoy on our way to the tasting area. She stopped and told us about the grapes, etc. let us sample some. We turned a corner and they had a table with chairs next to the vines and under a tree it was just lovely. Gabby started our tasting and wow, the entire group enjoyed the Pinot Gris and their Chardonnay was nice and buttery. Gabby told us the history of the property etc. we had such a great time. The tasting fees were around $35. We purchased two bottles to take with us. The nice thing about the helicopter tour company...they tote your wines around and if the helicopter can't hold any more, they have people who drive out to the wineries to pick them up for you. It was early Sunday afternoon and we were driving to an appointment at another winery, but were way too early to arrive there. We saw the sign for Keeler and followed it through a residential neighborhood to a country road that went up into the hills. When we arrived, we saw the tasting room, but realized that to the right they had set up an open air tasting station in the shaded yard. So often the visiters want to enjoy the view while tasting the wine. Why not go with the flow? We started off the tasting with a rose and found some chairs with a nice view. An hour later we had tasted several good pinot noirs, had some interesting conversation with our server, and ended up buying the 2015 Pinot Noir reserve to bring home. read more

My friends and I visited Keeler, as we had heard of their biodynamic wines. They did not disappoint. This is family owned winery. They were very warm and welcoming when we arrived. My friends had the $20 tasting and the mom took the time to explain in detail each wine and stories behind them. This family pours their heart and soul into making these wines. The quality and the taste truly reflect that. I would highly recommend this winery to anyone that is visiting the willamette valley. With the weekend over, I have to say, this was our favorite winery from start to finish! When they brought their Rose (Rosay) of Pinot Noir, it was the most beautiful color! I wanted to decorate my house with that color! But then, the taste of it was wonderful too! It was not too acidic, beautifully light, yet it could stand up to Turkey at the holidays! This winery made us feel at home immediately, and we probably spent the longest time there, but we enjoyed chatting with the owner and employees so much! The setting is idyllic, doesn't have the grand sweeping views of others in the valley, but feels like you are visiting Gabrielle's beautiful farmhouse in Europe! It had an unmatched coziness that we didn't see at our other tours. We loved all the wines and my daughter joined the club! I am going to be ordering my favorites for the holidays! So you turn off the highway in Amity and it seems unlikely that a winery and vineyard lives nearby. You drive by a school and some mobile homes and then all of the sudden the landscape starts to change. You see dirt and hills and farm and then you see the driveway to Keeler Estate. This is a totally unique and authentic setting. Apparently they have only been open for about a year. If Hanna is hosting you, she will point out interesting buildings and vines and other unique features of the property. The wine is good. I wish I had gotten a bigger sales pitch. I probably would have spent more. There were 2 delicious Chardonnays and 2 delicious Pinot Noirs. If you go wine tasting in the Willamette Valley frequently, and haven't been to this place, it should be on your short list. read more

I've been to Keeler Estate Vinyards twice and look forward to my return. First recommended by an innkeeper in the area, a girlfriend and I visited . Ivy met us with a most welcoming and lovely smile. Our adventure had begun. A bit cold outside, we selected a table inside and immediately was presented with a couple of large glasses. At first, not thinking I was yet a Rose' fan, I passed on the first taste. Mistake. My friend "made" me taste hers and I was then greedy about every taste. Frankly, I wanted to just buy a glass and relax with it. Yet, I soldiered on. So glad I did! It was easy to fall in love with the Chardonnay, too. We asked for a charcuterie plate thinking it would be good to have a little bread and cheese for something. What the owner, Gabriele, made was an absolutely beautifully arranged and wonderfully delicious collection of meats, cheeses, fruit and the yummiest little bread balls ever. $20. Every dime we spent there that day was more than worth it! I have been back and sat on the deck for tasting. It could not have been livelier. Gabriele and Craig, the owners are warm, sweet people who treat you as if you were a guest in their home. Actually, you are- a lovely vineyard I want to call home for a very long time to come. read more

Craig Keeler personally greeted us at the front of his beautiful vineyard. He was my favorite person to meet on this trip. His assistant Christina was so pleasant and so warm that they made us feel like family. We were showed around the whole property which is absolutely gorgeous and even tasted some of the vegetables in the vegetable garden. The wines were exquisite. I tasted some of the best Pinot Noirs I have ever tasted in my life. I predict his vineyard will win many awards in the near future. read more

I've visited here now 3 times. In my opinion, this is an absolutely fabulous winery. Some wineries have great views and bad wine, some have good wine and a mediocre ambience. At Keeler you can experience so much: great venue, beautiful tasting room/ scenic views, great service AND really good wine. Owners Gaby and Craig, their tasting room staff, and their wine - all are wonderful! This is an absolutely gorgeous place to spend an hour, an afternoon, a day. We've been all over the Willamette Valley for wine tasting and this is our favorite place. Everyone can boast tasty wines and nice views, but few have matched this wineries' hospitality. Simply the best. The Keeler Estate Vineyard experience is a combination of everything - the beautiful grounds, the cozy tasting room, the amazingly friendly people, and then there's the wine! Seriously, this is a MUST when visiting Willamette Valley. It is not a fancy ostentatious place, it is friendly and warm and welcoming. Then throw in the beauty! Starting with the pond and the gardens and of course the vineyards. If it's not busy Gabby or Craig might take you on a ride up to the deck at the top of the property where you can see for miles and miles. The hospitality cannot be beat, I venture to say that everyone who enters leaves feeling like family. As for the wines they just keep getting better and better! We first tasted the wines just over a year ago on the very weekend that Keeler opened their tasting room to the public, we stumbled on it by accident, deciding randomly to follow a sidewalk sign on the main drag in Amity and boy are we glad we did! While we were pleasantly surprised at the outset I can say that as new releases have come out over the past year it's clear that Keeler is making a place for themselves in the valley. The Pinots are impressive, especially the reserve (that's why they call it reserve right?), and the whites are amazing too, both the Pinot Gris and Chardonnay have become staples in our wine fridge, and the latest release, a crisp dry Rose can't be beat on a warm evening.
