Bring in top soil to fill low area in yard and sod to cover new soil. Owner Kip came to see area and provided price for service. Price specified the amounts for soil and sod that were included. Felt price was reasonable and accepted. Amount of soil was good and they did do a good job with the fill in. However, sod was severely under-estimated by a pallet or two. They also didn't bring enough plywood to adequately cover and protect path to area to be filled from damage by small loading machine. Then, they wanted another $900 to finish the job by bringing in more sod plus (my request) another 2 yards of soil. As they underestimated the amount of sod needed, I would expect them to finish the job for just the cost of the additional material, but they wanted basically a complete separate job price instead. Bottom line: I don't think much of their business integrity. read more

Run! Swipe left. Kip/Arthur is a clown. We are working with an attorney but are reaching out one last time (his suggestion) so that we can show good faith before we have to file a suit. Lawn was installed on 16 June and Kip set our timer for daily watering for the 1st two weeks and we were to change it after two weeks to every other day for weeks three and four. On 20 June (4 days AFTER install) we had our irrigation company install another head and inspect all zones to ensure all of the sod and existing lawn/vegetation was being watered appropriately. While here the technician backed down the watering schedule to three times a week because everyday was too often (that was four days after install). We contacted Kip and texted pictures sharing concerns on 30 June (two weeks after install). Kip came out the week of 5 July and asked why it had been watered every day when Jay (husband) had to remind Kip that it was Kip's decision and that Kip had setup the timer on the day of install. In addition, Kip told Jay, "If it doesn't come back by the end of August I'll make it good." At that time, Kip said he was concerned that it was overwatered and needed to be treated by our fertilizing company so it was treated on 8 July and a second time on 18 July. ALL of events listed above happened within the first four weeks of install. Our lawn service did not mow the front sod until 15 July, four weeks after install and still have not used a mower on the side or back (behind pool screen), only used the weed whipper on those areas at Kip's direction. None of our existing yard has or had any issues and none of our lawn service owner's other customers have had any issues either. Kip sent a text stating that if there were areas that needed to be replaced He would take care of it. Kip asked that we wait to contact you until the end of August to setup replacement for bad spots. Several of the conversations included Gary (lawn service owner), and I kept Kip updated with images all summer (as he can see in his text history). Therefore, Kip's argument that I waited a month to contact him and that our lawn service company's equipment are to blame are not accurate statements. Both our lawn service owner and our fertilizing company will be called in to court to testify/provide written statements. We had to pay $2,400 to have bad sections replaced. Kip claimed to be in good with our fertilizing company, but they were shocked at the poor quality and provided us with a respectable and honest company to repair Kip's pathetic attempt at sod placement. Hired Kip and workers to install one pallet of grass and fix sprinklers in the front of our home on 11/3/21. Kip's quote for that was, "over $600." Kip did not come with the workers. Grass was placed, sprinklers were not fixed. Called Kip the next day told him sprinklers were not working and 2 were broken. Kip came and checked he stated "I'll get back with you,it will cost you more money." We called 11/9,12 and16 .The original COSTwas $1OOO.OO. I requested a itemized bill and the sprinkler repair ,when leaving messages on these phone calls. After giving Kip all opportunities to give us a itemized bill and repair sprinklers, we are more than disappointed and still DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE PAID $1000.00 FOR , STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY . read more

Hired owner, Arthur (aka "Kip"), December 2017, to pull up about a dozen shrubs, rake up bark mulch and debris; use a bobcat to lift and remove 3x14 foot cement walk. They were to arrive at 12 noon but showed up at 11 when I wasn't home. Owner did not accompany his half dozen crew to instruct them, nor did they wait for me to arrive, and they bulldozed the whole front yard (approximately 20x30 foot) pulling up and breaking pipes of the underground sprinkler system, turning over the bark mulch and debris mixing in with dirt rather than lifting the shrubs out and raking the bark mulch, removed shrubs that were not suppose to be touched and I have no idea where landscaping rocks went. Owner advertises that he has insurance and licensed but after repeated requests for his paperwork after the damage, Owner became argumentative and to date (4 months later) he will not produce any paperwork whatsoever including liability insurance to fix the sprinkler system and replace the shrubs he was not suppose to remove. Beware!!!!. Update: It is now 5.5 months since this disastrous job and I still have not heard from his insurance company yet in local advertising papers for Keep It Pristine it states "licensed and insured". read more

I found their ad in the Pennysaver. Our backyard was very overgrown and we needed a lot of help. Kip came out to give an estimate. We accepted and a couple days later four of his guys were here and did an AMAZING job. They took out so much brush they uncovered pavers I had forgotten were there! They removed all of the debris and the yard looks fabulous. I will call on them again. read more

I have never had any issues. I only live here half the year but if I drop in, its always mowed. We came down after recent hurricane in sept unannounced and place was trimmed and mowed. Price Is reasonable for my large property. Been using them for 5 years. read more

i will never again deal with this company. i put my trust in them to trimtrees and install a shade-tolerant lawn. they told me that they would deliver shade-tolerant grass {i paid a little more for it.) i noticed that were several brown spots. he attibuted it to the fact that the pieces in question were bruised from being on the truck. i watered the lawn as directed-had it sprayed for insects two weeks later-as directed-but the lawn slowly died. kip said it was because i had web worm and blamed the spray company (he recommended them). the rest of my lawn was never affected and stayed green. kip has never acknow-ledged any responsibility. p.s. the sod never took root-at all. it can be lifted like carpet squares. i paid over 450. dollars for hay! lee carlson read more

We asked them for an estimate; they provided a very reasonable rate and took care of our unruly plants that same day. Avoid this business at all costs. We hired him to clear out some overgrown areas in the yard and to lay sod. The sod has a huge raised ridge where it overlaps our other sod and there are HUGE ruts running down the length of our fence. He does not return calls or answer emails. I would NOT recommend Keep it Pristine due to our recent encounter. I had numerous trees trimmed around our screened pool area. Upon completion of the job, I called the owner, Kip Gibbens, and told him I had two areas in my screen that were damaged. He said "no problem, I will have my screen guy repair the screen". One month later, and numerous phone calls, Kip came to look at my screen, said he would repair one small tear, but not the bigger tear. I disagree that his workers did not cause both tears, but I asked who he would send over and he did not know the guy's name, "he was a friend of his brother, who now does landscaping.... ". I am truly disappointed that this company would not accept responsibility for such a small matter. He could have told me that he didn't stand behind his workers a month ago, but he just strung me along. Sad thing, is that I have two relatives who have bigger tree trimming jobs that he will NOT get, and I hope my honest review will help you to decide on another company if you have tree trimming needs. read more
