I never thought I'd be writing out a long, drawn-out review for a storage center, but here it is: my experience with Keep it Stored is better than most experiences you'd expect from a hotel concierge or a 5-Star Restaurant. No, seriously. You look at either the reviews here on Yelp for the two locations, or the 100+ reviews they have for the two locations on Google, and the skeptic in me thinks, "nah.. there's something wrong here, they paid an SEO team to write these..." or something. Yeah... no. It really is as good as reviews say it is. And it all starts with one man: Kurt. If you read the reviews, you'll see Kurt's name a lot. He makes it a personalized experience. Did I really just use the word "experience" in a storage rental Yelp review? Well, yeah. Kurt just takes the storage experience to a whole different level. Kurt and his team get to know you and your business (or if you're renting just to have some extra space, he gets to know you personally) and persistently makes sure what his business is offering is what's best for you. Some highlights for me? Well for one, the prices they offer are better than anyone around. Hell, they're better than storage prices you'd find 80 miles outside of Charlotte. The move to keep it stored for me was more convenient than my prior parking spot (I park a trailer there). The parking spot itself was bigger and in a much more convenient format (it's a spot parallel to the curb, but it's so big, I can pull the trailer right in, and pull straight out upon arrival/departure). You even have access to an app that can open the gate for you when you're within a block of the storage center. 24/7 access is available for a very small fee (it was 5 times the fee I was paying at my prior facility for 24/7 access) and everything is imaculate. I really wish Kurt would also go into the restaurant industry, or maybe insurance, retail, package delivery maybe? At most, I'll settle for him and his team just staying where they are as the best storage solution I could have ever asked for. Believe the reviews, you're going to be very happy here. read more

No fooling, this is the best storage place in the area. I went from a "name brand" place that had lights out, wouldn't fix the door of my unit, never responded to my questions to Pitt School and it was the best move we made. The staff and owners are fantastic. They are nice, will answer your questions, and the units are well cared for, clean, and the lights work. So glad I found this place. read more

This storage unit has exceeded my expectations. The staff is beyond accommodating, friendly, and personable. Heather helped me to secure a unit last minute during my move from Florida. I just recently had to get a second unit for another move, and Kurt stayed after hours to take the time to discuss what type of unit would be best for me. The grounds and units are both kept immaculate, gaited, and secured. I feel that my possessions are in great hands here. I highly recommend Keep It Stored!! read more

So here's the thing...some of us, who are old enough to qualify as fossil fuel can remember the days of the original storage business model. You know, the one that closely resembled the format of the 3 Dollar Motel only without windows...or police raids. Well, thankfully Pitt School Self Storage isn't anything like that old school version. In fact, Kurts storage facility resembles one that would most likely only be rivaled by Martha Stewart, if Martha decided to go into storage. Wait...yeah, I just had to imagine that for a minute...visualize the whole place covered in East Hampton blue toile...but I digress. Kurt, the owner of Pitt School Self Storage has a unique approach to the age old problem of what to do with all of our stuff. His facility isn't but looks brand new, the storage options abound and it's cleaner than Apples highly guarded,silicone chip room. Okay maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but not by much. He does all of this by being thorough, diligent, hard working, and clearly he just loves what he does. The security at his place is, well let's just say if Kim Kardashian had been staying in one of Kurts storage units, that whole " lost millions in jewelry robbery" might not have happened..., Oh put your hands down, I know it's not a hotel...I'm just sayin. Frankly I'm not sure if some of our very own, inside the intelligence community guys aren't just a wee bit jealous of Kirt's security. That gate at the front, Wow, is about all I can say you'll just have to see it. The cameras are everywhere, and these are not your dark, flickering, grainy convenience store cameras, uh-uh, these bad boys are top notch, well lit, read the date of a dime in the back pocket of your jeans cameras. So, for the record, anyone thinking of doing anything let's say, untoward...you might want to rethink that because, surprise, you're on candid camera! Dang, I just dated myself again, I should have said, on Vine, or YouTube. Anyway, if you're looking for awesome storage in a variety of sizes and accommodations, in a safe, uber clean environment ran by people who truly care about you and your possessions, stop by Pitts School Self Storage and talk to the owner Kurt or his amazing and trusty wingman...er...wingwoman Heather they'll take good care of you. I know this because they helped me out when I needed storage and so much more. During a relocation, my husband and I were making from Kentucky to North Carolina, unexpectedly my husband became ill and was hospitalized. I then became responsible to get the rental truck picked up, driven to the town where we rented a house, secure a storage unit and unload said truck. Had I not called Kurt at Pitt School Self Storage I'm not sure how I would have handled things. But suffice it to say, Kurt has wings in my book, as does Mike a friend of Kurt who spent an entire afternoon unloading my truck just because Kurt asked. So to wrap up this novella, Kurt, his staff, and his friends are truly awesome people and rest assured you're not just a storage unit number to them, they really do care. This is the best storage place we have ever used. Kurt is a super nice guy that really cares about his customers. The place is kept up extremely well. No problems with lighting, security, or access. I love the way the iphone app works! I don't have to punch in a code on a keypad to get into the gate or at the door of my storage building. All I have to do is open my app and click the button. Easy peasy. As for security, I feel conident that this facility is one of the safest around. It is constantly being monitored and there are many cameras everywhere. read more
