We were assigned this guy for my mother coming out of an emergency hospital visit. Couldn't see him for over a month because of lab delays by his office and his own inaccessibility. Once there he just passed her on to someone else! Referral could of been done with a phone call weeks earlier. When we did see him, he talked to us like we're second graders. Went on and on about background things, almost like trying for an "extended" appt. billling. Always seemed to be selling in house services; blood tests, iron transfusions, etc. Later (he's still her primary oncologist) said no hurry on treatment of bone metastasis and a week later she's in severe pain and needs opiods to even seek treatment. Try see him and forced to wait two hours past assigned appt. time. She's in too much pain to wait longer so we tell them we're leaving. No follow-up by him or his office. His slackness and inaccessibility made my mom's death very difficult. We were pretty much on our own. read more
