The online description of this gas station would have you believe that this is a generations-owned business that is still being run by the descendants of the original owners. It WAS. NOT ANYMORE. Now, it is owned by a 'family,' sure. But they also own many, MANY more of them, in at least THREE STATES. How 'Norman Rockwellian' of them. I scheduled an oil change with one of Mike Nash's previous employees one day late last year. I had no idea the business had been sold and that Nash no longer owns this once-stellar, home-town business. At the end of the oil change/tire rotation, I was handed a bill for $160. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't until then I learned the truth about the sold business. No explanation could justify this OUTLANDISH price. I will never go back there again, even though it is within walking distance of my home and workplace. Seriously, never again. There will NEVER be an excuse for that kind of price-gouging. The world has gone nuts, and the people I believe now own this business are creating a HUGE conglomerate within California, Oregon, and Washington. Hassan and Sons, aka HS Energy, currently has more than 160 stores, and I don't believe they are doing ANY of it for the right reasons.

Took the family to Yosemite and on the way back noticed tire was running a little low. We stayed…read morethe night in Angels Camp, and in the morning the tire was completely flat. We were hours from home, and there's limited services in the area. Gave Nash Service a call, and they said they could get us taken care of right away. Within 30 mins, we had our car there and they found a large screw in the tire that caused the leak. They offer tire repair and plug services, but they also had tires in our size available and on-hand if needed. We decided to just replace the tire (as it already had a prior repair/plug completed). The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and was not pushy just trying to get a sale. They honestly cared about my family, and gave us the best solution available to get us back home. We were in-and-out in about 40 mins, and they charged a very affordable and reasonable price for the replacement tire. In this area -- There's not many options for services like this. We were worried about being taken advantage of, or having someone charge us 2 or 3 times the normal price (just because they could). We were ready to limp our car back home on our donut-spare, but also relieved that we didn't have to. I'm glad that Nash Service was there when we needed them! And I'm glad I chose to give them a try. They saved our family trip!! Thank you!!!

I…read morehave met many of their people and they have always been incredibly prompt, usually way-early than the quoted time, always friendly, super efficient, with a no job too small or large attitude. They have jumpstarted my vehicles innumerable times, They've towed my vehicles and even my RV to wherever they need to be serviced. When they recently towed my RV from Bear Valley to Angel's Camp, it was a real pain for the technician, but he worked tirelessly and with a smile. He had to crawl under the RV, and disconnect the driveline before he could tow it. He faced many bolts that had not been touched in 11 years. Watching him, I could see it was miserable, dirty, cold work. But the technician was assuring me "It's all in a days work". I am long overdue sending Sam Berri's of Murphys a shout out for always being there when I really needed help. For never making me wait for service. And always smiling and being encouraging no matter how difficult the task was for them. THANK YOU!!!

The new owner will overcharge the hell out of you for ANY service, from gasoline prices, to oil changes, to tire rotation. I will never go back there. Nearly $170 for an oil change and a tire rotation? NEVER AGAIN. I looked it up. The new owners are part of a heartless, soulless conglomerate in the making, buying up gas stations, motels and whatever else they can get their hands on. They have already 'collected' more than 250 American businesses from California to Oregon and Washington state. Why? I guarantee you, it's NOT for the good of Americans, their paying customers, or anyone else.
