I am so disappointed with the work done to my pet turtle of 24 years. I dropped my turtle off on…read moreMay 15, 2025 (and sent pictures of how he looked alive). On the contract, Peter said it would take approximately 60 to 90 days. After numerous unanswered calls and texts sent to Peter, he finally answered my call in January 2026 and told me to call back in a month. I called back and was crying on the phone, telling Peter of all the holidays in 2025 that were missed without my turtle; but Peter was really rude to me. I got a call the beginning of May 2026 telling me my turtle was ready for pick-up. I was horrified at what I saw when I went to Peter's shop on May 11, 2026, almost a year after I dropped my turtle off. The texture, color and shape of my turtle's head, neck and legs were just horrific! Only the top of his shell looked like him. Peter offered to do touch-ups and kept my turtle to try and make my turtle look better, but the damage was already done. I finally took my turtle home on May 27, 2026, crying all the way back home. I don't know if this was the first time Peter was trying to do a complete small turtle (the size of a saucer), but he really botched this job. So, beware, customers!

The first mount he finished was decent so I gave him more birds to mount. However, all the rest he mulitated and the mounts don't look anything like the birds are supposed to. The eyes are wrong color and shape, the feathers were awful and he put padding exactly where it should not be. And I told him how it should be done, showed him large accurate photos of the birds, came by to check on them and again mentioned the eyes and other issues and he still ruined them. They don't look anything like they are supposed to. I gave him absolutely perfect specimens and he ruined them all but the first one he completed. All I can do now is throw out the really crappy ones a maybe keep about 3 that are acceptable. I gave him some very beautiful and very rare species and he gave me back trash.....and I PAID HIM TOP DOLLAR to boot. Next time I'll have my 3 year old grand son do the job, surely he can do better AND it won't take 8 years to do the job. I'm so disappointed. Anyone reading this better beware. He tried to make excuses for his crappy work but that doesn't cut it when I see on his workbench that he butchers the critters rather than make them look anything even remotely similar to what they should look like. Don't waste your money with this outfit. If you do you won't be happy with the results. I am so disappointed that I felt the urge to sign up for yelp, so this is my first review and probable my last.
