On the contract, Peter said it would take approximately 60 to 90 days. After numerous unanswered calls and texts sent to Peter, he finally answered my call in January 2026 and told me to call back in a month. I called back and was crying on the phone, telling Peter of all the holidays in 2025 that were missed without my turtle; but Peter was really rude to me. I got a call the beginning of May 2026 telling me my turtle was ready for pick-up. I was horrified at what I saw when I went to Peter's shop on May 11, 2026, almost a year after I dropped my turtle off. The texture, color and shape of my turtle's head, neck and legs were just horrific! Only the top of his shell looked like him. Peter offered to do touch-ups and kept my turtle to try and make my turtle look better, but the damage was already done. I finally took my turtle home on May 27, 2026, crying all the way back home. I don't know if this was the first time Peter was trying to do a complete small turtle (the size of a saucer), but he really botched this job. So, beware, customers!

We have had ducks, pheasants and deer mounted over the years and have always been very happy. He is gruff and to the point, but I appreciate a no Bull-Shit approach to most things, so we get along well. While I've had my taxidermy with Keith take as little as 90 days (unheard of in the business) and as long as 14 months, ANY TAXIDERMIST THAT GETS YOUR STUFF BACK TO YOU IN UNDER THREE YEARS IS A MIRACLE WORKER. Behind every taxidermy complaint that they take too long is usually a story of a customer that never said what they wanted or never paid their prior bill, thus ensuring no further work gets started until debts get settled. Just my opinion having dealt with many taxidermists over the years. Keith is great, I recommend him.
