My sister was getting out of the hospital and I arranged for flowers to be sent to her apartment in Provincetown last Thursday afternoon. Today is Monday. No flowers. There was no else I was going to pick for flowers for my beach side wedding in Eastham. I gave Sheila a few ideas then she ran with it. She was a pleasure to work with. The flowers were beautiful and everyone commented on them. She also decorated the arbor and the cake. The bouquets were full of flowers and only recently I threw them out, 2 weeks after the wedding! Sheila Kelley is a true artist. We contracted Kelley's Flowers to do the flowers for our daughters wedding in October 2012. We met with Sheila twice. Once to talk about color and ideas. And then again two weeks before the wedding to finalize everything. My daughter had some very definite ideas and they were not all what you would call your run of the mill wedding flowers. What we ended up with was the most magnificent bouquets and floral arrangements you can imagine. Not only were they exactly what my daughter was looking for but they went above and beyond our wildest dreams. When the bouquets arrived the morning of the wedding I was speechless. They were so beautiful and so elegant I could not have ever imagined to be so wonderful. Like nothing you have ever seen. As the day progressed and we were off to church and I saw the church flowers I was again more pleased than you can imagination the reception. Honestly, it was like something from a magazine. From the table runners made from leaves and green apples to the lanterns circled with rings of white roses and orchids to the huge Hydrangea centerpieces, every single piece was outstanding. So much so that I have had several guests tell me that the flowers were the most beautiful they had ever seen at a wedding! Sheila is amazing!!!! I would like finish up by telling you that her pricing was amazing too. Although this sounds like "the sky was the limit", we were on a budget and she met that budget very nicely even though it appeared as though we did not have one. We got married in Wellfleet last Saturday and were amazed by The floral bouquets and table arrangements that Sheila did for our wedding. She was very friendly and easy to work with and was willing to work within our budget. Because we had a small wedding of about 45 people at Truro Vineyars many cape florists were unwilling to work within our budget. She was able to give us a fair price and from the looks of the bouquets you would have thought i spent a lot more, they were gorgeous and the flowers lasted a week out of water. What was off to a good start failed to deliver. I am not local, but family and friends are. Owner took my order 3 days before delivery for a dear friends 50th BDay. It was never mentioned that the recipient had to be home to accept delivery when I gave her recipients address and phone. It was explained to me that if they had a problem and could not locate the address they would call her. Birthday came and went...no flowers. I called Owner evening of delivery date (still no flowers) and left message. Owner responded promptly in the morning with a lengthy list of reasons which included that she had left messages on the recipients voice mail but did not hear back from her. Turns out, my friend was in Boston - shame on her for going away for her 50th BDay...really?) Owner told me that because it is a rural area, they had to have verification someone would be home. She never shared this with me when I placed my order, plus, its not rural....its 1/4 mile off Route 6 - the artery of the Cape. So, I canceled, and will get my money back.
