I just had a total abdominal hysterectomy this week, and so, it's been a long journey to get here. I feel I have the experience to speak here and give my opinion now. Dr Largoza is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and very, very good at surgery. She was able to give me a less invasive incision than originally thought, and her treatment plan has been fantastic. Methodist hospital and the women's treatment wing where her hysterectomy patients go if staying overnight, also were fantastic. I'm writing this in hopes that someone out there is nervously looking for a new Ob/gyn. If you are, and she is accepting new patients, please set an appointment with her. She's made all the difference for me. Highly, highly recommend her.

To my surprise the first appointment with Nikki proved to me how much her and her staff genuinely care about not only about the mothers, but the dads as well. Before this our OB would barely acknowledge my presence and here I was heard in every aspect of concern. When the time finally came for our baby to make his way into the world not only was I ready, but I felt confident in what to expect and my Isabella did it with great confidence and was amazing through the entire process. Nikki provides a safe and understanding environment for all moms and she truly values your personal best interest at heart. Through the entire prenatal experience she made sure to cater to what we wanted as our experience and delivered just that. She's honest and she offered her opinion when asked for it and strict medical facts when we needed it. Truly the best health care I have ever experienced.Her entire team working along side the midwife is just as dedicated and careful as she is. They were sure to have included the baby's father and made sure he was also a part of the experience and truly just involved in the miracle that is birth. They coached him during labor so he knew what to do and when. They made sure he felt just as special, valued, and heard as me. I never thought I would have fun giving birth being able to talk, laugh, sing, and be comfortable, feel safe in the scariest part of a lot of moms journeys, but Nikki and her team Made it possible. If I could say to splurge on anything it would be this! Worth every second. He helped with my PCOS and other issues and took the time to talk to me about anything that was bothering me. The last time I was able to see him, I had the most terrible experience with one of the ladies behind the desk. I was frustrated with my medication and people were making mistakes on the type and brand of medicine and not taking me seriously. I decided to not go back. Then, when I was going to give the office another chance, he sent a letter telling his patients that he was changing to a annual subscription type of care (MDVIP) to whittle down his patient list and be available 24/7 for patients. The plan is way too much for me to afford out of pocket so I was out of luck going back to see him. Now I am in limbo, bouncing from one OBGYN to the next because they or their office staff are awful and/or disorganized. I even had a panic attack at the last doctor's office I visited. I wish I was well off enough to go back and see him again. :(

However, recently in July the office has decided to move to a more exclusive and more expensive option where you have to pay a yearly membership (that's not covered by insurance) to even be seen by him now starting in October 2024. Once this transition began in July, I felt like the quality of care declined as I was recommended a surgical procedure by Christy for something minor that had happened only once. I felt like this recommendation was excessive and made it seem like the office and staff were trying to get every last penny from me before I no longer continued with their now exclusive practice. When I tried to cancel the procedure weeks before the scheduled date, the office tried to pressure me that it was highly recommended and needed to be done. However it is an elective exploratory procedure that had many possible complications that I did not feel comfortable with for the fact that the reasoning behind it only happened once and that procedure was for the reasoning to be happening continuously. I'm saddened that my departure with the office left on such an odd experience.

She has phenomenal bedside manner, and her staff is professional and kind. I formed a great relationship with her and her nurses. Not one time did I feel rushed, or uncomfortable. She helped me effortlessly deliver a healthy beautiful baby and ensured that I was completely taken care of up until I was discharged. I can not thank her enough for encouraging me, and keeping me informed throughout my entire pregnancy. Without her knowledge, and straight forward honesty, I would not have the most wonderful gift - my baby. If you're looking for a doctor who is going to be honest, and not beat around the bush - Dr. Jacobs is for you. 10 out of 10 recommendation, I will never visit another ob-gyn as long as she is practicing. Jessica said we dont do that at the first visit which I respect the policy and then I asked her if everything was ok with my insurance and if I needed a referral. Her response was "I dont know why dont you call your insurance" As a Occupational therapist I know this should have been checked prior to my visit and when I told her this she yelled and said well I dont have anyone else here in the office to check that. I already knew that was a red flag from the tone of her voice. I cancelled and would not recommend.

My provider literally said to me "some women just have sucky periods". Bullied me into a birth control I did not want and did not acknowledge my concerns when I expressed the side effects of the birth control. Now that I have gone to a new doctor's office repeating the same exact symptoms I originally told this clinic, they immediately ran tests, ultrasounds, and exams. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I can't believe I spent 2 years trying to advocate for myself just for Sara Bushur to say you have to suck it up. If you have the ability to go literally anywhere else, please do so.

She said yes and I declined the appt card of the next appointment. Fast forward a few months and now I'm receiving a statement for a missed appointment... no call, no message. Front office then tells me there was a text but NOW I had unsubscribed from their text messaging system. HOW CONVIENT. I guess is all about CYOA and money at the end of the day. I've had 3 OB's there (only switched due to retirement) and they've all been amazing. Even the doctors on call that I hadnt met before that were on call during my deliveries had amazing bedside manner. Their NP's that work with the OBGYN's are the sweetest so if you have an appointment with them don't be discouraged! You will love them! Great office staff at both locations as well.
